Anyone need a Solavellan fic rec? My friend wrote a drabble (altho it kinda turned into a short story by how long it ended up lol). I really loved it because it has both fluff (i'm particularly fond of the scene she wrote for them in the study/fresco room) and nsfw stuff at the end and there's some pretty prose delving into Solas' thoughts. I highly recommend!

I'm such a dork...I can twist pretty much any song and make it about Solas and Lavellen.

I think sex is more implied with Solas. Since he and Cullen were late romances, there's not as much content for them, and therefore not necessarily eye candy scenes for us players. With Solas and Josephine, the actual sex act isn't as important as the emotional tie in the relationship itself. That being said, there's a couple lines of dialogue with Solas that says he and Lavellan are totally doing it. For example: "I am grim and morose. Getting you into bed is a side benefit"

 

Well, actually, Weekes said it was intentionally left ambiguous.  That's why one of my Lavellans might, and the other definitely did not.  I can decide for myself, based on my characters' personalities.  And I think it's actually classier that way than having animated demi-porn.  I mean... I've seen a video clip of Cullen's where there was a soldier standing around in the room at the time.  Creepy much?

 

Solas can hint at it, depending on dialogue, but even then it's only hinted.  Maybe he's just saying "You know what'd be really great?  If we'd sleep together, that'd be awesome..."

 

As for my Uth'shiral... I headcanon that she didn't want to get used to human-style beds, so she slept on the floor on some furs--don't want to be too soft to return to the Dalish after it's all over, after all.  Eventually Solas took to sleeping in her bed, in the hopes she might take the hint.  She never did, but there were sooo many rumors...

I think the list of songs that qualify for this romance is too long and would kill my ipod. Though, I will admit, I got What I Did For Love stuck in my head going into the romance.

Speaking of dreaming, anyone had crazy Solas dreams?  Some I had were fantastic but I also had a weird one where he was the father of all the Van Trapp children, don't ask I have weird dreams.  I don't recall him singing though...

Crazy? No. But definitely dreams. I only have remnants of one where I distinctly remember hearing the equivalent of "Come back to me, vhenan"...which promptly woke me up with an erk.

Oh I have a thick dream diary. They get quite vivid. That one was a rare one and the the emotional impact of "hearing" that voice popped me awake from my nap It's like thinking you hear someone telling you to wake up.

We finally get a game where the companions mostly stick together in the end (with the exception of whomever becomes Divine, and even then they can rejoin the party for a time), yet the love interest I choose is the one that gets away.

DA2 had everyone stick together in the end. Well...until I stabbed Anders in the back.....repeatedly in my headcannon....but everyone else was good to go.

But the eventually went their separate ways. That hasn't happened with the Inquisition yet. Sera is my family. Cole wants to stay. Dorian wants to stay (definitely has something to do with Bull). Only Cassandra (who is staying until the ceremony thingy) and Varric gave any indication that they were leaving soon.

I'd have to agree with everyone: professor suits and sweaters...but with tight slacks and jeans. hot damn. and maybe reading glasses...sorry, just gave myself a nosebleed. 

 

As for Terrwyn, she'd wear skinny jeans, band and graphic t-shirts and tanks, and she'd go anywhere barefoot if she could, but instead wears flats. 

 

Solas would play the piano (imagine those fingers...), and Terrwyn sings in an indie band for fun. :3

I've had relatively calm dreams about him. Once when I was sick, he sat and read Shakespeare and Edgar Allen Poe to me. In another, we simply talked. They're comforting dreams.

 

Well...except for one other...but I won't go into detail.

True enough. But that's also because of the way the game ended. It ended very definitely in DA2. DAI leaves it open for more things for the Inquisitor to do. So of course people aren't necessarily running of quite yet.

Dream diaries are the best. Get them down fresh. I find when I have slight reminders, I can bring the dream right back to the surface to daydream further about it. Of course it usually turns into a story as I start filling in the blanks....

The only ones who said they were staying with my Inquisitor were Cole, Bull, and Blackwall.  Dorian said he was going back to Tevinter; Varric was going back to Kirkwall; Sera was going wherever; Vivienne was going back to Celene's court; and Cass was going to reestablish the Seekers.  Of course, they'll likely be sticking around for a little while, y'know.   (But yeah, the postgame feels all sad without Solas.)

I am privately hoping Solas is the Morrigan of this and we get a nice DLC that lets us hunt his wolfy self down. My Inq needs answers and since she can't go back to her clan and everywhere else leaves her haunted by him....she needs to go wolf hunting

In my game everyone but Sera was leaving, unless Blackwall was staying and I just didn't get that.  Cass was going to go rebuild the Seekers, Cole was going to go back to the Fade, Dorian wanted to return to Tevinter, Varric was heading back to Kirkwall.  Viv wanted to go lead the remaining loyalist mages, though I don't know what the point was since the epilogue said Fiona's College was doing great and mages were enjoying unprecedented freedom and acceptance.  And after the spats my Inquisitor had with Sera?  And her distrust of Blackwall?  Yeah, she was feeling so incredibly alone...  She really could have used a chat with Solas.

 

That's why I ended up writing a fic, because the Inquisition basically ignored her clan dying (pre-reloading to make them survive), and then abandoned her.  Poor Uth'shiral must have felt terribly, terribly unloved and isolated and lonely.
