she was touched by a spirit during her rites.  Who knows, she says her specific Seeker gifts are rare, so she may even be like Wynne and be part spirit.

I'm replaying and just noticing all the compliments he gives Cassandra. If it wasn't for the fact that he is only interested in elves, my Lavellan would be jealous   . He seems to respect her, but I also wonder if he is sweet talking her to stay on her good side, since out of all the inquisition members she is the most suspicious of him. 

I think his respect for Cass is genuine.  She's a completely honest and honorable person.  Basically the opposite of how he views most Humans.

I actually think Viv is the most suspicious of Solas.  I forget how the line goes, but when you ask her what she thinks of the Inner Circle, her line about Solas mentions it's peculiar there's so little about him.

This is something I hadn't thought of.  I tend to believe the theory that the Old Gods are the corrupted Creators, but that would mean some of them would have to be male.  Unless there was a pecking order like with the dragons and the male ones were not as powerful as the females.  That would make Flemeth more powerful than Elgar'nan.

 

 

Males are substantially smaller than females. Like really much much smaller.

I'm still trying to find a good balance of party swapping. It's really hard playing a mage and swapping them out. Because running a three mage party to hear the fun banter between Solas/Viv or Solas/Dorian gets really tricky on the maps. I still haven't gotten anyone to talk to Solas about the sexy elf love stuff.... But they talk about everything else.

So perhaps dwarves can't use magic or dream because their connection to the physical real world is too strong. Is it possible that elves are the opposite race? They always seem to be the sacrifice of choice for magical rituals. If that's true then maybe the whole spirit origin theory for elves isn't so far off. Solas's spirit friend did look and speak like an elf. I assumed she was just taking the form of what he expected her to look like, but maybe not.

 

Oooo... I like this idea.Also, at the past elves didn't age at some point & could do really powerful magic, possibly because of their connection to the fade.

Edit:  From what I can glean from a bunch of threads, Solas and male Lavellan have the same body model, which is why they both suffer from the glued arms bug.  Male Lavellan only looks weird because something is wrong with the way his armor is styled.  Abelas has a totally different model than either of them.

That is so weird, every time I stare at Solas I feel like he has really broad sexy shoulders.

Solas & Ableas indeed have different models, but when standing next to a m!Lavellan Solas appears to be bigger.

 

It's weird that Solas is short compared to the ancient elves if he is from that era. Maybe they grow shorter instead of older ? /joke

Among other things, I got The Art of Dragon Age Inquisition for Christmas, and it's so much pretty.  It's really interesting that some of the original concepts for the Sentinels look like elves with horns... Really makes me wonder about those Par Vollen pyramids again.

 

On the Old Gods and High Dragons, the Old Gods have always been distinguished as being something very different from a regular dragon.  So while all High Dragons are female, the Old Gods are typically referred to as male despite having wings.  (At this point I'm leaning towards the idea that the Old Gods are the same thing the Creators are, except they were trapped in dragon form.  I think they're more likely to be the Forgotten Ones than the Creators though.)

I don't like her :| Like, her VA is good enough to make me feel sorry for her (for why she believes what she believes and such) but her personality ugh

I think some part of me is angry with her because of her reaction to the vallaslin removal.

By the way, I ordered The Masked Empire & Asunder, The Art of Dragon Age: Inquisition and Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Volume 1.

They'll arrive in one week-two weeks. I'm really, uber, excited about that. I'll read the **** out of everything.
