Which reminds me... at some point in the game I was running around with my elven Inquisitor, Solas and Sera in the same party, and an NPC commented something like "what's with all these elves"... anyone remember where that was? Can't recall.
I'm trying to farm that Solas armor with the wolf pelt...except I don't know the exact name of the schematic. Can someone help me out? Thanks.
I believe it's Battlemage Mail and the schematic is available at Saphi's shop in Val Royeux or there is an exploit in Emprise.
I made him a Battlemaster set with silverite. Can't pass up dem stats.

I'm afraid I don't have specifics beyond the name of it. I've rarely found it (and never the schematics), so I just grab whatever I can find.

Have any of you encountered the CTD bug with All New, Faded for Her? Are there any workarounds? I didn't know about it until 5 minutes ago, but the wiki mentions it, so it seems to be a thing.
Needless to say, it's very frustrating not to be able to progress this quest and the Solas romance!

My understanding is that that happens if you approach the quest from the wrong side? If you're approaching it from the Dalish camp, go from the other direction. Solas should comment on some bodies on the way.

Thanks, but I'm approaching it from the road--I encounter a couple of mage bodies riddled with arrows, then some burnt corpses, then Solas says "No, no, no...," then a cutscene triggers, then the fight. I always CTD when trying to take down the summoning stones. I just tried it again and was just about to finish off the last one when it crashed again. Very frustrating!!

That is so weird, every time I stare at Solas I feel like he has really broad sexy shoulders.
Solas & Ableas indeed have different models, but when standing next to a m!Lavellan Solas appears to be bigger.
It's weird that Solas is short compared to the ancient elves if he is from that era. Maybe they grow shorter instead of older

Solas does have a different body model. That definitely can't be denied if you stand a male elf and him together back at Haven/Skyhold! If you put him in faction armor, he'll look the same as a male elf because it's not built to form to his specific model like the other armors. Basically any armor that looks the same on everyone will give everybody the default models the Inquisitors have, as far as I can tell. Solas does still get the glued arms sometimes, though.

that happened to me and we ended up talking for hours and getting back together. We've been together ever since.
Of course not every case of getting back is a good thing but sometimes distance makes the heart grow fonder so I hope Solas saves you.
I just woke up with this thought this morning...I wonder if there's anything in the game data or dev notes or wherever that spoilery info came from (obvs I have no clue about programming and whatnot) about that bugged personal quest of Solas'? The "What Lies Dormant" one? I've never had it trigger and as far as I can tell nobody has...and I can't help thinking that there's at least something interesting in that quest and at the most something important. I mean, we're running around the country, activating all these orbs, and to what end? And what about the title of that quest, what lies dormant? Well, Solas was lying dormant for centuries, right? What if our activating of all the orbs wasn't really doing what he says it was...what if we were helping him to tear down the veil without knowing it?
Ugh, I just hate that there's content out there about this egghead that we can't ever see, until I guess another patch comes out...maybe.
and what if you complete What Lies Dormant and by completing it Solas decides to not break Lavellan's heart into a billion pieces? A GIRL CAN DREAM RIGHT?
We haven't seen it yet but the coders are coming up with a way to search the 30 GB of data that is there so expect some additional revelations soon

OMG, I finally got it to work--after some more searching, it seems that using any abilities like Walking Bomb and Immolate on the pillars can trigger the CTD. So I set my party's tactics to reflect this. Unfortunately, my Solasmancer archer was using a bow with 10% chance of Immolate, and had none other available, so I had to attack each pillar once, command my party to attack my target and then just let them take it down. After some serious praying that my one attack per pillar wouldn't trigger Immolate and a CTD, I finished and got the following cutscenes. Just in time for dinner--and (more) presents!

Yes, the way certain armor is rendered it makes the shoulders narrower. The models have been extracted and they are the same as the ones in DA2 (yes, it's horrible). Perhaps Renmiri1 or Kiitosu from the modding group can back me up on this if they really want to, but it really makes no difference.
Bad armor rendering = bad armor rendering, imho. Solas apparently has shoulder pads stitched into every single one of his outfits, and refuses to give the name of his tailor to male Lavellan. As a former costume and clothing designer, I can vouch for clothing making the man.

Edit: From what I can glean from a bunch of threads, Solas and male Lavellan have the same body model, which is why they both suffer from the glued arms bug. Male Lavellan only looks weird because something is wrong with the way his armor is styled. Abelas has a totally different model than either of them.

No there is only human, dwarf and qunary bodies. Every other companion uses the human body
