I'm starting to think everything in Inquisition requires tears. And every mission auto-fails if you don't bring Vivienne.  

 

The game involves a lot of fade tears, so I'd imagine so. The second is just self explanatory.

Imagine he's too shy then, or that he secretly romances you in dreams. Or if you find him lying around at random places, that he is reaching back to whenever you were there, through the fade just to be able to stare at you lovingly without fear.

I'd feel like Solas and Merrill would have interesting discussions on the Fade, Spirits, and Elven History if they were ever in a room together (assuming Merrill was Friended in Dragon Age 2).

I really ought to give her a second chance just out of curiosities sake) I wonder how he'd look at her path and choices and... yeah... it could be a very interesting discussion.

But I starting to think a hypothetical conversation would just be her asking him about all of the Elven Ruins he visited and what history he saw in the Fade.

You mean more not-smutty-smut? _{And here I was hoping for an asexual LI}     
Nothing planned, but planning and me never worked well together, so that doesn't mean anything. It would take me some time to figure out how to handle Solas in a romance situation like that though.

I can't imagine that being so unless he found her complete unreasonable. (I'm not sure how great his patience is) But I can agree about the wanting to discuss Elven history. Merrill seemed very enthralled by it, as well as practices from the past. Kind of odd to think about elves getting along and having a chat... erm... a current companion and previous companion that is. I think I'm so used to Fenris and Merrill not really getting along that my mind was like 'ELVEN COMPANIONS GET ALONG? WHAT? NO WAY.' Maybe they'd chat about the Warden if they're an elf too, who knows.

Once we know who the LIs are, I'm sure things will settle down. All the character threads for non-confirmed LIs are kind of this way right now. I've been avoiding the Varric and Blackwall threads because it's a bit awkward not being one of the ones rooting for them as an LI.
