Hey everyone I've got a headcanon discussion: What is Solas' sleep schedule? He spends all this time with spirits in the Fade, does he sleep in late to get the most time in the Fade? I know dreams and time dilation and all that jazz but we don't even know if the Fade works that way. Or does his sense of composure overpower things and insures he gets up each morning at a reasonable hour? Come to think of it is Solas a midday nap sort of guy?

 

Either way the fan-fiction gears are at work on the Lavellan who wakes up Solas up suddenly and gets chewed out because he was doing something important in the Fade prompt. Don't get your hopes up for a release though.

DW rogue is a totally different playstyle to mage and human noble feels very different to dalish First. 

 

I like the idea of playing a mage with Cullen. Simply because it's interesting some of the lines I have heard. That it can make her equally shy and nervous since he does have a templar background. Even if it means playing two mage run throughs. Maybe I'll make the human a rift mage to do something different...which will be odd, and I will miss making that dalish medium armor....which is by far the best armor in my opinion when it comes to looks (not so much for practicality though )

His story is definitely not finished. I think the romance is though (I will gladly eat these words if proven wrong but *waves Team Pessimism flag*).

 I definitely agree with this sentiment.  Much as I don't want to.  I feel continuation of the Solas romance is unlikely not just because of the practical difficulties from a logistic standpoint, but because I feel that the writer intended for it to be a permanent breakup.  Like in this case, aufgeschoben IST aufgehoben.  Relationships don't always work out.  Sometimes it's because distance or circumstances conspire to keep people apart; sometimes in spite of real love, personalities just don't mesh; sometimes it's because one party is an ancient demigod who plans to destroy the current world in an effort to restore the glory of a lost civilization.   The point is, rejection hurts no matter what the reason, and there isn't any real cure for that.  As much as I want a DLC where I can give Solas a good shake and demand that he uncrush my heart, dammit, that pretty much never happens, and I think that is a truth that Patrick Weekes wants us to appreciate.

I'm seriously thinking about a human mage for Dorian, I've never managed to finish a male PC run but for Dorian I want to. 

 

I wish the dalish medium armour had been the starter outfit for elves both the male and female version look perfect for an elf that's travelling. When I do my canon Lavellan playthrough, hopefully the major bugs will be sorted out by then, I will take on the dragon that has the Keeper armour spec because I adore that armour.

I'm taking it as permanent too, until further notice.... but I tend to think it has more to do with the fact that we'll likely be getting a new protagonist for the next installment. Or if not, I just hope they don't pull a Jacob, where it's like it never happened and he's all derpy about it. If they handle it similar to how they handled Morrigan, that would be nice. Morrigan's romance with The Warden had an impact on her characterization and I would hope the Quizzy did the same for Solas.

I excuse the beginning armor a little....just a little. I headcannon my Dalish was using a disguise, for reasons. Afterwards though, she really should be able to get some nice T1 dalish armor to run around in once her cover is blown. Not to mention...shoes...she would not like wearing those boots. It's why I get sneaky and as soon as I have enough gold and the ability to unlock the Wastes, I do, and sneak past all the enemies to get the armor. Jumping off the cliff on a mount means no death by falling, and I can get it at a lower level than would normally be allowed.

Though, I am also curious as to Weisshaupt. Which I think will be the next feature and likely to be a dlc. I'm struggling to think of a reason for Solas to run up that way for Lavellan and co to run into him in the post-game.

Oh man, don't get me wrong, I WANT it.  I spent yesterday evening writing fanfic and trying to make sense of my feelings.  I ended up here after this thread was rec'd in reddit.  I'm relieved I'm not the only one who got sort of intensely emotionally invested in this ship b/c frankly, it's never happened before to this extent and it's a bit unnerving.

Yes! It would make total sense for the Keeper to send a care package of the Inquisitor's dalish belongings. So he/she does not forget where they came from. Even something like that would have been amazing. And a huge comfort to Lavellan.
