I wonder if there will be an option in DLC for the Quizzie to take Mythal's god-powers in lieu of Morrigan. Apparently it isn't restricted to elves, since she was going to give it to very-human Morrigan. I could see that being sort of interesting.

Morrigan is the inheritor. Also I really, really don't think BioWare is going to let a PC achieve godhood in a setting they still intend to use.

-sigh-

I fell My Lavellan fell inlove with partially because he is so wise.

That's just a stupid, stupid idea. I can't even.

I hope you are wrong.

It'll be just too ugh for me.

He doesn't lack wisdom but it's not something he expresses perfectly in all situations. He has blind spots. Big ones.

He may be trying to bring down the Veil. There's evidence both ways, maybe one is a side effect of the other or he's planning on doing both. He could be doing something else entirely that no one has guessed.

Soo....I'm watching the Iron Bull romance on YouTube with a female Lavellan... How she doesn't end up with broken bones is beyond me. She's a friggin' twig compared to him. Anyway..I was just thinking how nice he looks in that uniform when you take him to the Ball. He looks a lot better with clothes on..IMO. I will never romance him.... I was just curious. Solas has my heart.

I romanced Cassandra again with a male Lavellan. I don't think the poor guy can do the whole "sweep her off her feet" thing with his pipe cleaner arms.

Elves must have denser muscle and bone structure than humans, because Lady Lavellan is even smaller than her male counterpart.

If Lavellan would be a goddess, what would she be a goddess of?

He is wise. But he's also a gambler. Additionally his acceptable losses for a goal are much higher than most other people's.

I think, whatever Solas ends up doing, he aims to avoid anyone being enslaved as a result.

It's implied that he doesn't want things to go back exactly as they were when you pick the "I'll restore things" option when he asks what you plan to do with the power of the Well.

Yes, yes. He is wise, it's pretty obvious. I consulted him as character many times, he's learned a great deal from the fade (and from.. stuff).

But that's a really BIG, MASSIVE, GAPING blind spot he got there if that's the path chooses to tread.

It really doesn't sit with his character for me, giving Cory is once thing (we don't even know how that exchange went), but. That. Is. Ugh. You really cannot ignore the consequences for that.

Sorry, sorry.

I'm really ranting about the possibility of such a well established character doing something stupid.

With the whole Inquisitor thing I'd say justice but Mythal's already laid claim to that one.

Of course that never stopped Ares and Athena.

He sort of implies that, even with slavery, he thinks things were better in the past.

I think it's more nuanced than that. In many parts of the world, elves still are enslaved. And even if they're not enslaved, they're treated as second-class citizens at best.

And he isn't pro-slavery just because he misses the past. He still rails against the subjugation of free-willed peoples. No matter whether they're elven, human, Qunari, or spirit.

As for "acceptable sacrifices", I don't think that always equals out to villainy. I just judged the mayor of Crestwood for deliberately drowning those who had been infected by the taint before they could spread it to the rest of the village (which was already happening). And...I agreed with him. It was a terrible decision to have to make, but it both killed the Darkspawn and prevented the blight from spreading. The blight can't be cured. They would've died anyways. So I sentenced him to exile. And Solas approved of that decision. I think Cass did too. That's a situation where "for the greater good" was the right call. It was awful and tragic, but necessary. So I don't think Solas is going to be sliding down the slippery slope into megalomania any time soon. He's a very morally conscious person, but with the stakes he's working with, any tiny error on his part has enormous repercussions. When the gods sneeze the world shudders.

Maybe I was too concise because this is what I was trying to say. He thinks slavery is bad but that things were still better then. It's not like the current elves are exactly free now and they've lost so much in the present.

I never said he was pro-slavery? It's very clear that he isn't. But if it's between present day lack of freedom and the lack of freedom of the past, he prefers the past. It's clear when he talks about the immortality and the magic that he loves those things and they were part of the past too. At least the past had these good things and the people knew who they were.

My god.  ANY kind of Solas fanfiction or fanart is gold for me to look at if it only has Solas in it.

Ah, gotcha.

I think that he misses a lot about the past. And I think he's very conflicted about his role in shaping this new future. But I think by the end of the game he's come to terms with the fact that the future is how it is, and now he's focused on helping "the people". Looking forward instead of looking back.

I have no idea what he plans on doing, other than that he seems to think it's going to be dangerous and that he has to do it alone. Which doesn't bode well, but doesn't exactly tell us a lot.

I don't think they have a choice.  The Quizzy absorbed at least some of the "god" power, and the orb power had to have gone somewhere.

Yeah, you are right...

Energy doesn't just disappear, right?

And Quizzi was the last one to use it... So maybe she has all the power now, but Quizzi and Solas don't know it jet.

Another reason for him to return / for Quizzi to look for him.

Maybe the foci works a little bit like the well? And there is not just power but knowledge in there?

It's has a NSFW tag on it and the pairing Cole/Solas labeled in the description of the fic, and the kink meme prompt that says " Cole/Solas magical sex"
Don't think it needs any more label than that.

Edit: Lol. Don't tell me you all just trusted me and blazed ahead and read the fic without reading the description.  XD

Personally if Solas is party in anything that isn't with female Lavellan I don't want to know about it...unless it's Varania as Lavellan, that's a good fic.

And I did look at the description and exited out very quickly. But I rather would have not had to click on it at all...

This is one of my favorite theories. I think Falon'Din will be relevant coming up. He's also supposed to be a dreamer, right?

There owls In Skyhold. At least one above the door if I remember right.

Always wondered why there is an owl since ti uas nothing to do with templers, seekers or Andraste as far as I know.

Now I understand...

Maybe Falon'Din is the next bad guy and Solas tries to stop him? Theories say Falon'Din killed Mythal and maybe he tried to kill the rest of the Pantheon. Maybe this is the reason Solas looked the gods away, to protect them from Falon'Din. Maybe Falon'Din was never locked away with the other gods...

This are to many maybes... Argggggg...

Got to take it off my chest.

There is some guy arguing with me over http://forum.bioware...sible-spoilers/who kind of annoys me by going out of the way to explain why straight female romance isn't sucky and we got lots of options
