I haven't read it, but Solas has mentioned that they are in fact extinct. Which is a pity. Though it would be nice to see one return. I can see Merrill popping from absolutely excitement.

Ooh, that would be interesting. But if they were locked away, how would any of them be free? Unless one broke free and is attempting to release the others? Imagine the showdown between a couple of gods, even weak ones. It could have grave consequences for the people of Thedas, but if Evil!God isn't destroyed and the bad things happen because of that - even if people can rebuild from it - then things would actually be worse. Would be a fun situation and set of decisions to make.

 

I suspect that Falon'Din is able to walk the Fade, and can thus affect what goes on in the outside world. Well my grand theory is that he

A boss battle against actual gods would be so cool. I really want a show down between Lavellan and the Elven gods as well. A Dalish, abandoned by her gods because they went batshit, and then they come back and try to kill her lover and enslave her people? Nope, nope, nope. You thought crazy Leliana was a sociopath.

You say that...I lived that. It's weird. Very uncomfortable. And since I have the same parts they do....they immediately cling. Immediately. It's unnerving. At first it's all like a haunted weird house thing going...and then it just becomes abysmal.

They find griffon eggs at the end of the book. . It's more complicated than that, but there are griffons now, though they were extinct because the Wardens royally screwed up in the fourth blight

 

It's not the best of the DA books, but I'd highly recommend Last Flight for those interested in the Wardens.

I agree, Abelas (or another ancient elf if he died ) should be a companion....and....romanceable...you know, if they do another lead character change. I need to continue on my elf love saga.

It looks like I might have been lucky to spend the past couple hours playing the game instead of lurking the forum...but now I'm getting close to the part where ALL THE THINGS happen and I'm getting anxious and sad. Just had to pop in and say IT HURTS IT HURTS MAKE IT STOP.
