Lol. No problem, I'm currently looking through Kink Meme. XD

I looked up dlc time tables....seems 3-4 months is standard for waiting for a dlc it seems....slow torture and death it is.
FYI- Any pregnant Lavellans need Cole as babysitter.....because he would be hilarious....
Well that makes 2-3 months to go.
Oh heavens no, where's the fun in Cole as a babysitter? He'd just read the baby's mind, knows that it's hungry, but doesn't understand what baby food is. Eventually the baby just seems smarter than he is.
Now Sera having to babysit a child, there's the gold. She doesn't have the heart to harm a child but she probably doesn't trust herself to keep one from being hurt. So ensues the wacky hijinks of an overly-stressed Sera trying her hardest to make sure nothing bad happens to that baby. Oddly enough I envisioned the same thing happening if Jack ever needed to babysit Shep's kid.
Actually let me just go on this tangent...
Cassandra babysitting a child: that child will live by the child care book or die by the child care book. Also Cassandra has stabbed a knife through the child care book.
Vivienne babysitting a child: she has found a servant to babysit the child for her. The results are better than expected.
Iron Bull: "So…you’re a baby huh? How’s that working out for you?" Iron Bull doesn't pretend to have any idea how to raise a child (Yes, he asks and no, Krem has no idea either. He's kind of offended by the question.) but he does know how to use one to pick up chicks. Cue the baby being adored by Skyhold's flirty women for hours. Also the magnificent image of Iron Bull carrying the baby in a baby bjorn.
Blackwall: that riding griffon pays off massively. Kid's out like a lamp 30 minutes later.
Varric realizes that reading the baby his smuttiest literature keeps them happy. Lavellan and Solas must never know.
Dorian realizes that reading the baby Varric's smuttiest literature keeps them happy. Lavellan and Solas must never know.
Vivienne: Maker's breath dear, where in the world did you find that ghastly outfit?
Solas: i repurposed the material from when you reupholstered your fainting couch. I had no idea that they were good for only one use.
I need to find the screenshot, but I made Solas wear this awful set of Battlemage Mail made out of King's Willow Weave and Plaidweave. It basically looked like this with a matching Orlesian Mage Hat:
-snip-
I need to see this.
And I found the screenshots of Solas's old lady couch outfit.
Vivienne is not amused.
The hilarious thing is that I put him in my Inquisitor's armor and he looks amazing. Solas, stop looking so good in clothes that aren't yours!
Haha, that battlemage outfit. The one I found looked like that. And I was so excited to finally have found the one with the fur...alas.
So I finally have my Xbox to myself again for the first time in nearly a month. What do I do with this gift of being able to play Dragon Age again? I create my original Inquisitor (with some modifications) all over again to do my completionist playthrough and, of course, romance Solas all over again. This is what this elf does to me; I ship him with Cari too hard to create a whole new character for him. And with him around, there's no hope for me romancing anyone else. One of these days I'll finish the non-elf playthrough I started so I'm forced not to romance him.
But on this note, here's my Inquisitor meeting the bae for the first time.
Whenever I make armor that looks good on my character and transfer it over to another...sometimes it looks like absolute ****. I apologize profusely to whoever ends up wearing it. XD
omg
I remember when that was first posted. People were so excited. And Gareth David Lloyd was all about keeping the spoilers hidden.
So while pretending I know my way around Tumblr, I found this:

Those here who are more versed in tarot stuff, what do you think?

Hmmm. The white wolf does make his romance card appear more like the Fool. The Fool represents unlimited potential, and a choice to be made of vital importance; Solas' eyes are closed in this too, a common theme in the Fool card - it means we must go blindly forward into the unknown. The white wolf is there to protect him, while in the Tower card, the black wolf seems to be overcoming him. Interesting.

So surfing the Kind Meme for Solas I found this
"I sympathize with the folks who are uncomfortable or upset by prompts and fills where Dorian is portrayed as straight.
And I agree that it isn't the same thing as prompts/fills where Cullen or Blackwall are portrayed as gay. "
How the heck isn't it the same? O.o Because he has a little back story about being gay?
My brain is just scrambling trying to process turning males gay is okay but a male straight isn't.
The way the creator of the atom bomb talks reminds me of Solas. I understand this is a completely over exaggerated comparison. But i think at some point Solas felt like this when he made a change he could not undo.
I found this, you're welcome: http://transsolas.tu...-my-every-sense
Solas x Lavellan, smoochies and hotness, no sex.
[Edited to clarify that I found this on Tumblr, I did not write this.]

Because there is an entire side plot about how his father tried to use blood magic to force him to be straight. With that context it is disturbing. You see dorian's pain and suffering in that story. How much it hurt him to have that happen to him. In addition the instances where people in real life are sent to camps to be forced straight is much higher than straight people being forced to be gay (I wont say it never happens but it's much more rare). Gay people are murdered in real life. Tortured and brainwashed to be straight.
Context matters.
Edit: That came off rather angry. I'm just explaining why.
omg
I just... I... I....
Love...
Love.

Get the right person and gay or straight, you love them enough, gender doesn't matter. But this isn't RL it's a video game. I honestly can't see Solas or Cullen going gay (Blackwall, eh, maybe. He seems a little screwy there) but you don't hear people going up in riots over it.
Maybe it's just me and how I think, I honestly don't see a difference between the two, love is love not gender. And it's a video game, that's a major thing.
Gah. DX I feel like I should see it, but I don't.

Because people who read the prompts live in the real world. And they have real world feelings. Feelings that come from being hurt and abused because of who they love and how they love them.
You may not get why there is a difference. But at least try to understand why some people would react with fear or sadness or whatever else.
I showed a friend dorian's story and I didn't think it would effect him. But he ended up crying on my bed because it felt so real to him and it meant so much to see a real gay character in a game that he related to. Imagine how precious that must be to him. Just that one small piece of validation of what he went through in his life. It would probably be hard for him to go through the same things dorian went through, and then see someone want to see dorian go through the same pain. The same torture.
omg
I feel the double standard there. I could probably get into the topic too, but I don't want us to fight about sexuality and minority representations in the Solas thread
Look here at this awesome Terry Pratchett quote instead!
“You can't go around building a better world for people. Only people can build a better world for people. Otherwise it's just a cage.”
― Terry Pratchett, Witches Abroad
I find the quote Solas relevant
Yay for Terry Pratchett! He has some must reads in his large collection of books! Also lots of great quotes
Lol. Honestly, that's why I asked the Solas Recovery Wing. XD We're unicorn's throw a little Solas in there and we'll be gold. I know if I asked outside this thread I'd get flamed to heaven.
And amazing find.
@ Sashimi_taco
It's all good, I didn't take it as angry.
Temple of Mythal as he watches Lavellan complete the Fen'Harel ritual.
There's a Fen'Harel ritual?
So I know this is from waaaay back in the thread now, but just wanted to jump in and comment, cause I found this interesting during the game too.
Ohoho. What an amusing thought to play with. I don't actually headcanon that Solas and my Lavellan(s) got that far. More like, they got achingly close. His hesitation and her playful shyness about such things, however, always stopped them short. It makes the breakup all the more painful (and the reunion - should there be one - all the more hot and delicious) if that was the moment he was going to let go of his reservations at last. Until that final voice of reason ruined everything, anyway.
But! She may have gotten, I dunno, Fade-knocked up or something - Did I mention the above shyness and reservations only applied to the physical world? Well, anyway should she have ended up with a dread puppy in the oven, it amuses me to think that Josephine and Leliana would argue over babysitting duties while Lavellan is out doing Inquisitor-y things.
Regardless of its gender, Mama Lavellan would return to find the child beribboned beyond all reason with the caretakers arguing over what color suited his/her eyes best and which pair of booties was the most adorable-est. Vivienne would be instigating the debate, naturally, while Cole would be the one actually fretting over the baby's desperate need for a binky.
Cassandra would no doubt be in Lavellan's returning team. Her iconic <disgusted noise> would be the perfect punchline at witnessing the spectacle.
Oh I headcanon they get that far AFTER he comes back, apologizes and tells her the truth. and of course, she consents to trying fro lil Solavellans.

I went through my parents hating me and in denial for being attracted to the same sex, and I still find it strange that it's okay to portray straight characters as gay but not Dorian as bisexual. And I'm trying to understand, but it's prompts like "they have drunken sex" and "they fell in love" not "Dorian's being brainwashed." Completely innocent and realistic prompts.
