I've been playing the Winter Palace again, this time with Solas in tow and I have to admit his comments about the Game were a bit of an eye opener. Seems the wolf is showing a bit more of himself there. The thing is I am still a bit puzzled about his reaction to the choices you can make, so I wondered if you have any ideas about this. My approval rating with Solas is so high by this point that I don't see any positive reactions (I had to check them out elsewhere) but I do get the negatives which is where I'm a tad bemused.
Solas disapproves if you execute Florianne yourself: Now this time round he heard what she had to say about her motivations and really her contempt for the grief it could cause everyone but herself. Does he feel you should be forgiving because she did think it was all part of the Game and was also too stupid to see how Cory was using her?
Judging Florianne: Up to now the only choice that doesn't seem to merit his disapproval is to recruit her as an agent. (I haven't tried the banish option yet but there's no way I'm letting her lose to cause trouble elsewhere). Well I really don't want the politics of the Game in my Inquisition and in any case I don't think I could ever really trust her. So is it because he finds the Game a bit of a turn on the reason he wants you to recruit her?
My preferred option is to either make her a court jester or better still put to manual labour - neither of which meets with his approval - does he think this is too much like making her a slave? I must admit that the fate of Florianne is one of the few times when Solas and I did not see eye to eye on an issue and the only time that I find it hard to fathom out why.
