Ya'll be talking about tears from your eyes, but I can't help but think about those L’Oréal kids shampoo bottles where I used to be like 'No tears? No knots? Cool, I won't cry when I use this shampoo!', but it really meant my hair won't tear or something!

How do you think we'll meet Solas? I like the idea of meeting him in the Fade for the first time. Though I'm not sure if it's possible for two different persons to meet there if they aren't physically at the same place.

 

Another idea is that we are going to investigate a fade tear and solas got there first (or the other way around)

I always liked the idea of meeting him in the fade. However, it would also be funny to go somewhere and find him like... passed out somewhere in a ruin and be like 'heeeyyybuddy, you okay man?' 

But, iunno, I feel it would be more... reasonable if you encounter him in the middle of him trying to fend off something in the real world. Nothing as mundane as finding his body first, as funny as that would be. (Kind of like doing the wakey-wakey thing with Javik but... less steps)

I always liked the idea of meeting him in the fade. However, it would also be funny to go somewhere and find him like... passed out somewhere in a ruin and be like 'heeeyyybuddy, you okay man?'
But, iunno, I feel it would be funnier if you encounter him in the middle of him trying to fend off something in the real world. Nothing as mundane as finding his body first, as funny as that would be. (Kind of like doing the wakey-wakey thing with Javik but... less steps)

I do like the idea of meeting him in the Fade as well... especially since I'm leaning toward my first playthrough being with a rogue, who is going to be both fascinated and terrified by all this magical hoodoo suddenly surrounding her. The fact that he apparently seeks us out though makes me wonder if he'll be following us, with the intent of introducing himself, when things so go awry? In the past, character intro scenes have been pretty dramatic, especially in DA2, so i doubt it will be as simple as him showing up at the Keep and offering his help.

Dorian does sound extremely cool! He will definitely be in my party a lot. But yes... I would love a play demo with Solas in the party. I want to hear his voice, and some of his banter, along with all those other characters we haven't seen in action yet, like Cole, Blackwall, and Josephine.

(After that fiasco last night about fanart and illegality I ended up looking up stuff. Needless to say my brain is a bit jumbled.)

Yeah, the whole seeking us out thing makes me wonder. Like if he'll join in on our of our fights and then be like 'please please please let me join your exclusive club', except not because that doesn't seem like in-character wording. Or if it means if we find him it'll be less difficult to convince him to join our cause because he was already looking for us.

I would actually be quite humored at him just showing up at the door, but I think it's because I like a little 'normal' to add into my 'drama'. Keeps everything from getting over-saturated. Kind of like the Traynor romance. I loved how 'normal' it felt. (I realize I'm throwing the word normal around a lot but I really can't think of a better wording at the moment)

I wasn't feeling Dorian before, but now I'm warming up to him a bit. (Then again, the 'fanboy' Dorian art and the little banter of him trying to fill silence in the vid helps) I just like characters I can relate to in one way or another, even if it's through mannerisms. (Though, on the extreme side, a character I see as exactly as me I hattteeeee) I shall see how Dorian shapes up in the months to come, I shall see...

I think that most of the time he keeps his cool and if someone angers him he would get back at them by verbally embarrassing them in front of the others or something similar. But on the other hand I can also imagine him raising his voice if someone takes it too far.

Hmm, I can kind of imagine him getting pissed off if someone gets really nasty about Cole. Or if the others, especially the companions associated with the Chantry, start talking about how mages should be locked.

 

I think that most of the time he keeps his cool and if someone angers him he would get back at them by verbally embarrassing them in front of the others or something similar. But on the other hand I can also imagine him raising his voice if someone takes it too far. 

 

I hope Solas gets protective over Cole! Like usually he's cool as ice when people mess with him or insult him but he's not so chill when his friends are messed with.

 

I'll probably try to make him angry at some point (and promptly apologize to him and reload and be nice) just to see how he reacts. I wonder if he'd have the hot, passionate kind of anger or that cold, harsh anger that's kind of terrifying.

It is possible that when Solas is angry he doesn't have to say anything - he just gives "the look".   Apparently I do this and don't even realise how scary it appears to other people but have been told that it does.   I have noticed how when I "look" disapprovingly at them, they do seem to back down pretty quick.    There is a further stage to this, when I really lose my cool and verbally take them down.     In both cases it is probably because I usually seem so placid and easy going, so it comes as a shock when people see it.  

 

So I imagine it would take an awful lot to make Solas really lose his cool and the warning signs would be there before it ever got that far and people would realise it would be wise to back down.  There is something about his eyes that makes me think they could be really penetrating  and scary if he wanted them to be.

It would be so adorable and sorta badass if Solas really does get protective of Cole to the point of raising his voice when people go too far. I think that if anyone besides the Inquisitor is going to set him off like that, it's probably going to be Sera. Because she's Sera. I love her, but I'm going to give her hell for calling Cole "it".

I have a "look", too, and I don't really notice when it comes up. My friends have told me that I've scared the living daylights out of them at times, even when it wasn't directed at them. My responses range from "OH NO I AM SO SORRY" to "Well, whoever got it probably deserved it". I imagine Solas would say something akin to the latter. XD

Hm... I like cool cucumber. I'd be sad to see him be like... passive-agressive though. I like it when individuals are passionate. (even if him being mad would make me cry) Or, I don't know, he could just be chill all the time.
