Here you go ladies (and gents). My interpretation of Solas' morality alignment.
Did anyone else get really annoyed with Morrigan when she was talking down to TWO elves at the temple of mythal? Even if she didn't know about Solas, she should have respected his knowledge and race. I do love Morrigan and her sassy ways, but this was a little too far.
It made me feel how anime bros make me feel when they tell me how to pronounce my own name. I DON'T CARE HOW YOUR WAIFU PRONOUNCES IT, IT'S MY NAME AND IT'S STILL MORE JAPANESE THAN YOU'LL EVER BE.
i did start to feel annoyed in my last playthrough as an elf. normally, i love her, she was like my warden's sister and i didn't mind her so much during my trevelyan playthrough. i just hated that she was arguing with my elf inquisitor and acting like she knew more than lavellan and solas put together AND that she had more right to the power of the well than they did. regardless of whether the elven inquisitor wants to drink or not, no human has more right than an elf to the well's power, in my opinion.

Completely agree. As Lavellan said it, it was her heritage.
Well, it is What Pride Hath Wrought. I think she's fairly humbled later on in the Fade.i did start to feel annoyed in my last playthrough as an elf. normally, i love her, she was like my warden's sister and i didn't mind her so much during my trevelyan playthrough. i just hated that she was arguing with my elf inquisitor and acting like she knew more than lavellan and solas put together AND that she had more right to the power of the well than they did. regardless of whether the elven inquisitor wants to drink or not, no human has more right than an elf to the well's power, in my opinion.
Nice video! I actually never caught that Solas was not telling the truth in his conversation with Abelas. Sneaky bastard.
The only thing I might note- that spoiler about Morrigan is possibly one some might not want to know about. I don't know if its possible to edit the video, but you might want to note it down. It hasn't happened in the game yet.

Hmm. I'm not sure how to add more spoilers. Maybe an annotation? It's not confirming much for the future. I'll try.
Yeah! I think any sort of notation. It doesn't bother me, but I know there were people earlier who did not want to know about datamined spoilers. Since they aren't officially 'canon' yet, people tend to put them in a separate category.

Hehe...at around the 3 minute mark I was like "What's that on Lavellan's head?...a...turkey?"
Good video btw....seems like your not gonna stop anytime soon talking about DA especially Solas...we've all got the Solas syndrome. lame joke
Someone earlier was theorizing that maybe Felassan was killed by Falon'din in the fade, not Fen'harel.
I was thinking about this, and I came up with an addendum to that theory:
Felassan might have been Dirthamen.
You never see Falon'din without Dirthamen. Dirthamen followed Falon'din into the Fade. If Dirthamen were able to wake, somehow, if he saw that Falon'din was wrong... well, no matter how close they were, perhaps his loyalties ultimately changed.
It is, of course, a ridiculous theory. I would tend to guess that Dirthamen was sealed away with the other elven gods, so it is highly unlikely he escaped to wander the waking world. However, it's possible that Falon'din could have a group of followers secreted away the way that Mythal did.
Just some random thoughts I guess. It doesn't mean Solas is no longer a suspect in the murder of Felassan.

OMG I'M DYING, YOU'RE SO AWESOME. Be my friend, forevvvveeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I'm still on team optimism....Lavellan needs a happy ending. She's gone through enough shite.
TEAM OPTIMISM 4 LYFE
I was reading some of the other notes here about the really massive sadness felt after the endgame and oh man you guys are not alone. I keep telling my family, "Just remember, when you're talking to me, I'm barely here. I'm pretty much still in Thedas and whatever you're saying will be quickly forgotten." I'm still in my 2nd playthrough, I plan on doing a few more, but my Lavellan is the only playthrough that matters to me really. And it's a really good thing I don't have be back at work until the 5th because oh man it is so hard for me to feel anything but Solasfeels right now. It's ridiculous and sad and sometimes I cry a little, but it's also pretty wonderful and in the end I'm really just stunned that this amazing game exists because I can't even wrap my head around how awesome it is. Each blade of grass in the Emerald Graves and the sound of my feet crunching in the snow in Emprise Du Lion...all of it adds up to a perfect gaming experience.
Let's hope they don't perfect VR anytime soon, because when they do I will pretty much just drop out of society and live in my own headcanon. Can you imagine playing out your Solas romance with a perfect version of the Oculus Rift? WELCOME TO RIDICULOUSTOWN I AM THE MAYOR.
BUT I do desperately need some Solasclosure. I'm thinking they might wait until the final DLC to address the issue, so it will set up the world for DA4, but whatever man, as long as I get that closure eventually I will be satisfied. If I do not get that closure I will start setting things on fire. But I'm really glad I've got you all to confide in...it makes me feel just a little less ridiculous for having all these feels. So, thanks guys.
I have found that copious amounts of beer helps soothe the pain...or you know, help me wallow in it EVEN MORE. I plan on being slightly drunk on Dark Chocolate Stout by the time my 2nd playthrough reaches its conclusion, all the better to slurrily yell at Solas along with my Lavellan. Fun fact: I am writing a fanfiction and it is literally nothing but Lavellan working her way through the bottles of Thedas with the rest of the crew trying to recover after Solas leaves her. Dorian, of course, is a fan of Carnal, 8:69 Blessed because OF COURSE HE IS.

Wrote this on another forum and I'll repeat it here for fun.
He's very vehement that we'd be better off without the Veil. Those things we're busy switching on to fortify the Veil might end up being used to bring it down. Sort of like re-connecting a power grid so that Solas can then go flip the master switch when he's ready. And oh by the way, Skyhold might be the master switch. trolololol

I think it's the mask of the empress. You get it if you finish the winter palace with over 80 approval.

I love that there is a list of suspects. That is an interesting theory though- if there were two gods working together, it would certainly be those two. I tend to side more with Felassan being a servant of some elven god, perhaps bound by its will to the point that even if he saw the flaws in his god's plan, he was unable to act upon it directly.

Yes of course I will. ![]()

Oooh...I see, I have beaten that mission with 100 approval twice and I sold that both times without looking at it cause I've had too much stuff in my inventory plus I don't put helmets on my Inquisitor most of the time but I think I'll take a look at it next time. ![]()
Yep. I did Here Lies the Abyss right after his personal quest, and given the revelation that those bound demons used to be spirits the whole thing was quite horrifying. The Wardens are basically enslaving thousands of innocent creatures, as well as enslaving themselves to Corypheus, in order to kill Archdemons, which is not guaranteed to stop the blights and may actually make them worse. It's layers upon layers of stupid. My Inquisitor kept the Wardens around, but only after making an awesome speech about how monumentally dumb they'd been. And I didn't begrudge Solas his *disgusted noise* at my decision.
Id expect him to be pissed about the demon army but if you send the Warden away and then choose the convo about how dangerous/stupid bringing forth a demon army was, Solas will say that part doesnt really matter in a 'you dont see the real issue' sort of way. Hes not happy about it but thats definitly not why he cares so much.
Side note, I chose that answer on my pro-circle human Inquisitor, thinking Id finally get a chance to have Solas agree with him. Nope. Condescending as ever. I guess thats how we like him ![]()
I have to admit that until DAI it had never occurred to me that killing all the archdemons wouldn't solve the problem of the blights. I don't think my Warden would think going to look for the archdemons would be a good idea - considering what happened with the architect - but I doubt she'd think far enough ahead to think of what happens after all the Blights. I tend to think she was coerced into being a Warden and just did what she needed to do to get out of it. The fact that she's looking for a cure for the Calling works out well in that regard.
By the by, I'm getting a commission done for a Lavellan tarot and I may have asked that a wolf and halla be included (I definitely asked). Tys (http://shutterbones....com/commissions) is working on it and just sent me the first sketch and I'm so excited so I have to share!:

Wow that is gorgeous!
I liked your video Sashimi. Though the sign off is what sold me on it. The desperation ... the panic ... it resonates with me. I also need this help.
Good job.
You know I almost wish I wasn't obsessed with DAI, because I feel like I have gleaned every piece of information off of it ... nothing surprises me anymore! I need new things. *grumbles goes back to writing fanfiction to fill the deepening void*
I am choosing to believe the Falon'din is suspect #1 theory until proven otherwise ~
Also, Sashimi you are our hero, our prophet
Also, people are linking Livejournal and I have no idea how to navigate that site what the hell
(@Cheerios the TrevalyanxSolas fic you posted yesterday is now everrrryttttthiiiiiiiiing)
That is all.

I want to stop but I also need more. I crave the madness that is the mystery. And when it all falls down into rubble I will rejoice in the agony.

My husband looked at me today and goes, "Whatcha doin'? Still reading...?" I twitched a little, shyly replied yes, felt my face turn hot, then defensively (and preemptively) shouted "THERE'S A WHOLE GROUP ONLINE THAT UNDERSTANDS ME, SO IT'S NOT JUST ME. The story is really powerful, and Solas broke our hearts, and we're trying to find a way to recover and you could never understand because you're so analytical and..."
... and that's when I realized that I have lost my damn mind.
Because Solas stoled it.
