Yeah, I replayed that ENTIRE cinematic JUST to re-watch that part.  Over, and over, and over, and over... and ov.. er... 

 

I separated it into 2 gifs since it's long, but I did also make it all as one gif. Rather hypnotizing.. lol.

I love that there is a list of suspects. That is an interesting theory though- if there were two gods working together, it would certainly be those two. I tend to side more with Felassan being a servant of some elven god, perhaps bound by its will to the point that even if he saw the flaws in his god's plan, he was unable to act upon it directly.

I don't think it is a coincidence that his name means 'slow arrow'. It might not be a calling card for Fen'Harel, but instead the role of the arrow in the story. Like the arrow, Felassan works quietly to undermine the entity he is working for to protect Briala. [Who, to take the analogy further, is a child to him.] He might even slay the beast, should the eluvians be a key to the entity's undoing.

 

Cole said to me today, "There is no other man. He becomes the other man to do the things he can't."

 

The general consensus is that his is from Fight Club (which I never saw so I have no clue), but I believe that these Cole quotes also have something to do with the story.

 

Anyway, I still believe that Felassan was Fen'Harel, or some side of him or some meat-suit.  "Bodies are such limiting things," right Flemeth?

I hate that outfit so bad. I had to design something. I wanted to use the original design to show it doesn't need to have a complete design difference from the male outfit. So I kept the collar, removed the back, ruffled out a dress bottom, kept the sash....it's very nice....very nice indeed. And very fitting for an Orlesian fancy party.

Just like there's always room for jello?

The newest chapter of "Path of the Dreamwalker" has just been posted. This story is a large project I'm working in tribute to the fantastic characters of DA. I recommend finishing the game before reading, however the story doesn't follow the cannon plotline very much so spoilers aren't really an issue.

 

Here are details for those who haven't read it yet:

 

Summary: Scarred by war, torn apart by conflict, and tormented by chaos, Thedas is falling into shadow. The land's destiny has been broken, and there is only one who can reshape it and set things back on course. Mortals fight for power while ancient Gods fight to be remembered. Can one broken Templar's wish change the flow of time? (Cullen/F!Inquisitor/Solas)

I never found this "Once" note!  Ugh that kills me...I wish it was something that Solas wrote to Lavellan but it sounds like it's something she wrote and crumpled up herself. SIGH I need so badly to know more about Solas' real feelings...I'm super optimistic most of the time but sometimes I get the blues real bad and I just NEED TO KNOW HE CARED. 

 

Also, every time I read this last message to Cole somewhere it sends me spiraling back down into sadness because COME OOOOON SOLAS REALLY?  REALLY? Doesn't he know Lavellan would gladly walk that solitary path with him?  I mean, the inquisition is pretty much over, let her come with you man. And I hate that it says "let alone someone that I once cared for." As if he no longer cares for Cole, and if he no longer cares for Cole, does he just no longer care for Lavellan either?  Why does he let Cole forget him and not Lavellan?  Is it because he does care for her and doesn't want to take away what they had? But then why does he do it to Cole? I just. I just can't even. UUUUUUUGH it hurts.

About the "once cared for." I think a lot of times people use past tense because they want to forget, not because they have truly moved on and stop caring.

 

Also, I think I have a problem. I don't want to progress with the main story in my second playthrough because I know what will happen. Instead I'm farming armor schematics and I'm planning on using the cheatengine to duplicate crafting materials so that I can play "dress up the Solas." Sigh, someone save me.

It doesn't sound like Lavellan. I don't think I have ever referred to a man's chest as anything other than a chest.....never really a breast. Unless she's referring to his to hers....which is odd....but I will take is as confirmation one way or another that naughty stuff occurred.

I think Solas wants to walk a solitary path because he tried teamwork in the past and his friends betrayed him. But he doesn't seem to realize that he's actually having trouble getting things done properly because he lacks allies. It's like the whole shooting an arrow into the sky to slay the beast story. If he only asked for help, maybe him and another of his god friends can take down the beast instead of sacrificing the adults to the beast.

Just watched the last Hobbit movie. My sexuality is ancient elves. I'm pathetic. It's also taken me all day to catch up to this thread, only to immediately have to go to sleep. Shame on you all. I love it.

FYI, I finally designed a dress using the colors and general style of the Orlesian noble outfit, cutting it into bits, moving things around, and making it into an acceptable dress. Once I finish the tasty picture....I will be sharing.

I also cannot wait to see this! I will say though that I'm at the ball now and I decided to take Cass with me for the first time, and she looks super cute in it. It might be because I only ever see her in that roughed up armor or it might be her pixie haircut but ugh super cute!

Late at night..when I can't sleep..I think of fanfic in my head. There was one were Lavellan found a note on Solas' desk, hidden in one of the books. It was mostly scribbles of things he found while reading, research and such..but one line was about her. "Never forget her face as the tears flowed, my fault."   I really wish I could write all these ideas down..but I'm horrible with words.

About the Lord of the Rings movies... I have always found Hugo Weaving a way sexier elf than Orlando Bloom. My ex-husband used to laugh at me about it.  Blah to him!!!!
