Were Ghili..Ghi'ilgivhjdg...ah never mind, the Halla Goddess and Andruil lovers? I thought I read that somewhere but can't be sure.

 

Can't recall anything, but its certainly possible. She was the one who 'approved' her ascension in both versions of the story. 

 

The connections I recall are:

 

Mythal and Elgar'nan are referred to as mother and father. 

Andruil and Fen'Harel's story between them indicates a lust on Andruil's part

Falon'Din and Dirthamen were known as having twin souls, and that their relationship went beyond simply being brothers. [Which runs the gamut between incest, romance, and just an extreme connection to one another.]

Andruil, Sylaise and June are all siblings. 

 

Of course, some of these might just be Dalish embellishments. June is possibly not real.

Is that really the sort of mindset to take? For one, I still haven't seen a source that says that is a picture of Shartan. The wiki says it depicts the fall of the imperium, and we already know that tevintar magisters use foci orbs. [Dorian and Solas have a conversation to that effect.] 

 

I'm not saying its impossible, mind you! But just rolling around in 'fan tears' is hardly proof of being correct.

So, Shartan's not the only bald person :D

If that foci was actually Solas', wouldn't it be drained of power a bit? Assuming Andraste actually used it, I'm not sure those things function like an everfilling flagon of ale. Unless it's like a rechargable battery, how could Coryphenous use so much power and not have it either break prematurely or run out of juice?

If I remember correctly, it is an artifact used by the Dreamers aka somniari - like Feynriel in DAII (hope I got his name right). Those were the mages able to shape the Fade at will... does this support the theory of elven pantheon being just very powerful mages, hm?

If they are the same I kind of hope that the entire Andraste-being-wife-of-the-Maker is a bad interpretation by humans, because yes, if Solas fell in love with Andraste it'll feel a lot less special. Then you'll just have to ask yourself if he compares her to Andraste and ugh, no, stop this horrible thought train.

 

Yes please no dead wife shite again...

 

Not only is he halfway Jacob (depending on what they do in DLCs) --> with Andraste as lover, he would be Thane too... (Oh I really loved Thane, but I always felt Irikas shadow over the relationship...)

 

So no... Solas is NOT Shartan, the Maker, etc. He is Fen'Harel, I think that's enough for Lavellan to cope with.

And if canon says otherwise, so what *llalalalallalalalalalalalalala*

Okay, these images are supposedly the reconstruction of the mosaics that are at the University in Orlais, right?

 

In TME, Celene wanted the destroyed mosaics rebuilt, but the nobles agreed only if Shartan's ears were docked in the representation.

Speaking of which, is anyone else here on the PS4? I'd love to do more multiplayer, but I'm more comfortable doing it with people who aren't total strangers, especially since multi is a lot more fun with voice chat. I had a lot of fun multiplayer-ing with people in the Garrus thread back in the day. I'm jellobell on PSN if anyone wants to add me. :)

Wait, that isn't Solas with the orb.

 

Look at the second url, right drawing.

The figure that is shown later with the orb is there when Andraste's been captured, and he definitely is human, plus! He looks nothing like the Shartan in the first drawing

I feel like at least Solas's ties to Lavellan will be mostly wrapped up in a DLC, while his character/purpose/the ancient elven gods will be resolved in the next game or two. Or up until the last game, whichever that is. Seems like something way too big to wrap up in a simple DLC. D: I don't know anymore. I wish we'd have an expansion.

 

on another note, it's actually my birthday today! i turn 18 and I am going to spend it playing video games and being very emotional about Solas~

Yep, considering that Fen'Harel is the only "loose" Creator besides Mythal, that image pretty well wraps it up.

 

EDIT:  WAIT, no pointed ears!!!  Could that be Corypheus?

 meh. Pictures of religious figures tend to reflect the people of the region (such their local traditions or ethnicity). Like how jesus suddenly grew long hair in the 15th-ish century or how Budda became fat when it reached China. 

My tinfoil theory is that Andraste was elven which is why they cover her ears in almost every depiction.
