What is it about elves that makes them do attractive? I definitely think we all should tip our glasses for Tolkien. I imagine without him our elves would be up north building toys or baking cookies in a tree somewhere!

Yep, good old Professor Tolkien. But did you notice, that in most settings (even The Witcher) elves are shown as beautiful remnants, with their empire and culture fallen to decodance?

I can't help noticing some parallels between Solas and Fenris, aside from the "Fen" wolf in their names.  Both have a big anti-slavery and anti-power abuse thing going on.  Fen'Harel freed the slaves of Arlathan, only to land them in a worse situation, and the Dalish hate him for it.  Fenris freed his family, only to land them in a worse situation according his sister, and she hates him for it.  They both go by aliases. They both have a thing for isolating themselves and they both try to run away from the one they love.  I'm hoping the Dread Wolf will follow the Little Wolf's example and eventually come back...

Oh, I just remembered another thing.  If you take Fenris into the Fade, the demon that can tempt him is Pride.

His tarot card after you've completed the game has a 4 eyed wolf shadow thing, I believe.

Because multiple eyes are scary as sh*t? *glares at 'blinky'* It's like the devs had it out for people with Trypophobia.

 

I wonder if Solas's dread wolf form from the Tower card is an accurate representation of something he can turn into. Like Flemeth's dragon. How did Fen'harel become associated with wolves anyways? I need answers, Bioware!

Oh poor Fenris, I was really sad my Hawke only said like 2 things about him. I freaking loved Hawke/Fenris. 

 

Also how many other people choose elves for all their romances. It's gone Zev, Fen, and now Solas. 

 

I CAN'T ROMANCE NON ELF BOYS. IT'S A PROBLEM. 

 

Solas is my first elf romance in my canon Dragon Age playthrough. 

 

In DA:O, my Mahariel romanced Alistair and in DA2, my mage Hawke romanced Anders.

 

For DA:I, I had every intention to romance either Cullen or Blackwall but then Solas caught me by surprise. I don't regret it, even if he broke my Lavellan's heart. The romance is worth the pain.

Alright guys, I have a serious question.  I swear I am not fishing for compliments or anything.

 

I have been typing up a story.  It wasn't initially for sharing and just my own enjoyment.  It's mostly a character study and a study on magic and the Fade.  However set around Solas/Lavellan core.  Should I share it?  There's so much fiction out there already that I wanted to know if it was worth posting. 

 

I don't know.  I'm struggling to decide and I love you guys.  I know you'll tell me the truth.
