Aren't the Old Gods the ones that call though? And Lyrium? OK actually maybe Dragon Age is actually one giant musical.

The Fade is often said to be musical. Justice said that lyrium sings, and I think Cole mentions the Fade as being music.

The old gods and elven gods are connected somehow, gotta be. They were rivals or copying each other or something.

So, after sending Mr. Weekes my Tweet yesterday and receiving a reply, I decided to try and convey how he inspired me. I sent him a series of Tweets as a sort of abridged fan letter that explained how he was at the heart of my return to the world of fanfiction and writing. This time, I really wasn't expecting a response. In fact, I felt like I may have been spamming him, but guess what???

Now that I've heard these words from one of the people i admire the most, I definitely have to keep writing, right? :)

Maybe it was not to communicate with each other but maybe they were "special" because this was the way they communicated with their worshipers?

Maybe they had this special power that they could see the dreams and speak trough dreams with all of their people?

Like I said a few hundred pages back... They were "Super-Dreamers".

So the Calling was something that existed before the Blights. The Old Gods, maybe they really have nothing to do with the elven pantheon. But maybe they were human "super-dreamers" (who could also turn into dragons, like we know at least Flemythal, and most likely the other elven gods can)

I wonder if Solas consuming Mythal's power would also give him control over whoever drinks from the Well, and what could come out of this. I am really curious as to how this one'll play out.)

I don't believe she translates them for you. Only the Inquisitor can read them.

This has nothing to do with Solas, but- does anyone know where the Dalish heavy armor schematic can be found? I see online that it is listed as random or ???. Is it truly a random drop? Has anyone gotten it somewhere?

I had it drop in the servant's quarters in Halamshiral, but then I had to go back to a former save because Cass wouldn't dance with my guy since apparently he did something that pissed her off beforehand.

Dangit, that was almost as bad as the choice between Loghain and Hawke, because it is indeed a random drop.   :(

I don't really mind either way! But, I think it is more likely they were friends, or possibly had a mother/son relationship. Mythal is already romantically linked to another god. Not that that precludes ancient elf scandal. Going off of what we have, Fen'Harel/Andruil seems a lot more likely.

At the moment I think consensus is that they were very good friends. BFFs. But not lovers.

Maybe Morrigan decides she needs to get into the Fade, or needs the mark for something else? Or maybe she just realizes she needs someone with a big stick to hit the Dread Wolf with, and the Inquisition is one giant stick. Who knows what she'll decide once she figures something out.

I wonder if the control aspect of the Well comes from Mythal's power or her divinity. If she were able to lock away/give away the latter, Solas might not have any control over what the Well does.

Morrigan has the ability to track down the cure for the Calling, or at least has a good idea about how to go about that, since that's how the HoF sets out on his journey if he romanced her.  She says that in one of her conversations in the garden.

We know that Solas headed west, where the Wardens are, and where Hawke went, and I can't help but think that the Calling and the Warden taint have a lot to do with what Solas is up to.

Or maybe I just want to see Morrigan, Theron, and Mahanon track down Solas together.  Add in Zevran and Fenris and I think my monitor would explode with the sheer amount of elven sexiness being displayed upon it.

I can dream, can't I?

Yeah Andruil/Fen'Harel ^^ But more in a hate - angry wall sex relationship. (Remember the angry wall sex with Fenris... *sigh* Bioware and those stupid sexy wolfs)

I believe Solas he was quite the player in his younger years. He loved them ladies and them ladies loved him ;)

But Mythal, yeah I would go with bff or mother/son here too...

Solas and Hawke potentially unsupervised and together is a scary prospect. They'll come up with a crazy scheme to save the wardens that dooms all of Thedas.

But, it is interesting that everything seems to be going down west of us...

TBH Solas is not subtle about the Dread Wolf thing at all; he drops hints left and right that he isn't the unassuming hobo apostate he claims to be.  The only reason why no one would put two and two together is that the truth is so unbelievable and outrageous.  It'd be like one of us trying to explain electricity to someone from the medieval era; they wouldn't understand, and would have no reason to believe it's true.

Of course, Solas has a habit of underestimating the quizzy.  Still, if my Lavellan finds out who he is and she's in a position to keep his secret, she might very well do so.  He's probably in enough trouble without the rest of the Inquisition freaking out about his true identity.

Pffffft, right? Same for mine, she'd keep the secret. I mean, really, who is she going to confide in? Everyone else would either freak out or manage to blab it all over the place. Cole is the only remotely possible prospect and that... dunno, doesn't seem like a good idea considering how much he blurbs out people's thoughts. :P

The ironic part is that of all the companions she'd want to turn to with such burdensome, unsettling knowledge... who would understand the arcane and be a good sympathetic ear... would be Solas, so.... yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.

Yea that's pretty much what I was thinking. I couldn't help but be curious about the amount of affection he had towards her in the last scene but I think anyone would have that much affection towards someone close to them who was dying.

I believe I got this in Halamshiral as well.

As for Flemeth/Solas, I'm going with a friends/ allies conclusion also. I don't get a romance vibe. He speaks reverently about her and defends her. Would they really have him shtupping a goddess who's called the Mother? I don't think so, even if she is a MILF.

I think not. Considering the datamined info, I assume that Morrigan will have this control. Which makes sense from the technical standpoint - it makes her relevant to the Elven Gods story no matter what. Otherwise she wouldn't have to be involved if the Inquisitor drank from the well themselves.

I would love if any temporary companions for future DLC came from old companions, though I doubt it would be so. Is there anyone that absolutely, 100% cannot be dead? Maybe Isabella? I'm having a hard time remembering.

I'd love Zevran, Merrill, and Sera in a party together. The sheer amount of angst and hate that'd be thrown around. Oh man.

Oh man hopefully Quizzie can channel purple Hawke. I loved when you meet Mythal and one of the dialog options leads to something like "Well, ****."

Argh, it is truly difficult to make Solas hate me this playthrough! ( I know, I'm a terrible person, but I'm doing this for science!)

I can get a bunch of disapproval, but then as soon as I ask a question, the bloody elf is happy again! Should I just never speak to him beyond triggering cutscenes?

Can you just imagine the new nickname options Varric would come up with? Because ain't no way it's staying Chuckles once it comes out that he may have an alter-ego with furry paws. :P

I can also see The Iron Bull egging him on to transform into some big ol' wolf, too. I mean, we saw how excited he got at seeing the dragon vs giant fight on the Storm Coast. Hey, the weird elf the Inquisitor was banging is actually some old elven god they call The Dread Wolf? I can already hear it now... "That's bad-ASS!" Either that or he'll completely horrified because demon/Fade/gods/stuff.

Instead of "I want to be a dragon!" we'll get "I want to be a wolf!"

Does anyone remember how old Zathrian was in DAO? If I remember correctly the werewolf curse was suspending his life but is it possible he was one of the ancient elves? And if so I wonder if he had any connection with Solas. They remind me of each other.

All elf party ftw! My choices would be Sera, Fenris, Solas/ Zevran, Fenris, Solas/Merill, Fenris, Solas/and Sera, Zevran, Merril just to see what would shake loose.
