It's really nice how many people have been saying Solas's personality won them over since his reveal. I've been seeing some of that in the romance thread, too. I know I'm in that boat, also. 

 

Honestly, his looks has even grown on me quite a lot. He's very distinct and striking in appearance. The angular lines and darker features of his face are interesting and he has a very graceful look, but somehow powerful, also. 

 

Plus, dat ass. 

 

 

Yeah, I was definitely one of those who was not a fan of his look initially. However, I was basing his appearance on his concept art, especially the concept art with him and the female dwarf Inquisitor. 

 

The baldness/ pointy ear combo was throwing me off.  Now though, seeing more recent in-game pics of him, I have grown so used to his look that I couldn't picture him with hair, and wouldn't want him with hair at this point.  He has an interesting face that I have grown to like.

Perhaps they're announcing Solas's VA today because there won't be any news about Solas during GaymerX. Or, that there will be announcements for other characters, and not him. Characters like the Iron Bull, or Blackwall, or Varric.

I might be looking too much into it, but Vivienne has a VERY high chance at being a LI, and they said that they would have to delay revealing her VA for a few days...and this makes me feel like maybe they were planning on revealing it after she was announced as a LI. So instead they used Solas'..maybe that means he isn't one?

 

Could be completely wrong though considering that IB has a high chance to be a LI and we've already heard a lot of his voice. It just makes me a tad leery, that's all..

I don't know... between Allan's trolling us just last night, and now the VA announcement, coinciding with the timing of Solas' writer being at GaymerX (meaning the devs realize many are holding their breaths right now for those romance announcements)... I see no reason to brace for a let down just yet (no more than before, anyway).
