Re: guy in the mosaic.

 

Pretty sure the bald guy in the yellow is Havard. Pretty sure the other seemingly bald guy is Maferath. His wiki page shows one statue where he has a hood like in the mosaic and another where he appears to be bald. I forget where the mosaics show up in-game, but in TME it's said that Shartan was removed from all Chantry art (except for one mosaic in the college), because he is considered a heretic. I think there is one stained glass or mosaic thing somewhere that's not the college...but in that it's pretty clear who Shartan is right, since he has elf-ears?

 

I don't see the link between Solas + Andraste as being very strong. He seems very ambivalent about the Maker. I feel like if he'd lived with the Chosen of the Maker he'd have more of an opinion on whether or not she was truly divine, and thus whether or not the Maker exists.

I definitely think Bull was the closest out of all of them. [Well, with the obvious exception of Cole.] There's several dialogues where Bull questions Solas. Not in a mean way, just in a very observant manner.

My first play through and canon make Cole more human. Why? I don't know...humans are funny.

In all seriousness though, I like Cole as more human because I think he has more potential to grow and be something, while as a spirit he's confined to be that one human emotion. Which, compassion is awesome and all, but can you imagine your defining feature being one prominent emotion?

I think Cole misses an opportunity when he becomes more spirit, and yes I know Solas is a fade genius and wants to go Korra on all our butts and have spirits and people be friends...but...

Hehe, I see your point which is why I made him human at first. But to play devil's advocate, you can also say that Cole will lose potential because he could have been the greatest compassion spirit ever, but he can't because his abilities have been diluted with other stuff if he becomes more human. It's like if someone's natural talent is to be the best piano player, but he doesn't get to be that because he has to spend a lot of time making ends meet, learning math whatever else humans have to do. Either way there is an opportunity cost.

I hate being out of likes. But, you are right! I only ranked Bull higher because he seemed suspicious [more thoughtful, really] from the get go. Vivienne is sort of a suspicious person by nature, but she does start off her conversations with Solas attempting to lord over her superior training.

 

Of course, that could have easily been a rouse just to see how Solas would respond. In some ways, Vivi is as much a mystery as Solas is.

Out of curiosity, when does this option come up? I've never had the chance to ask her opinion of my companions, despite having a reasonably high approval rating with her. [Went through her questline, ect.] She is one of the other companions that mentions something about the romance with Solas, isn't she?

Okay, I have to admit something to you fellow Solas fans. I'm a crap roleplayer, so I have been reading peoples headcannons here to substitue the lack of character in the inquisitor. Don't worry I'm not stealing or claiming your inquisitors as my own. I guess the best way to put it, is your headcannons fill the blank pages that the game didin't give me. So i'm living precariously through your headcannons.

So thank you for sharing.

Yep.  I finally am able to get this dialogue because she doesn't hate my Inquisitor's guts this playthrough.

On my Lavellan, who she disagreed with, I didn't see the option until just before the Temple of Mythal. With my current qunquisitor, who she likes, she's giving the dialogue in Haven.

You can ask her thoughts about your companions as a generic conversation "question" topic, although it's randomized and you don't get to pick which one like you can with Josephine.

She said it to me after the balcony kiss.  I have no idea if she'll say it before that.  It's random what companion she says something about, when you ask her about their friends.

At the moment the only thing I can ask her is if she's available. I had thought I had reasonable approval with her. Enough to get her card to change. Maybe I'll take her along on a few of the side quests I've got left and see if she bumps up some approval points.

Unfortunatly, if you're talking sexual fantasies I can't relate since I'm Ace. I actually like the absance of a sex scene in the solas romance, personally. But I'm sad for the peope who wanted one.

Hm, well Andruil is the Huntress right? So it makes more sense for her to be a Hawk and loves to hunt a Hare.  Thus favorite of both.
