Darn you all for jumping forward four pages while I played catchup two pages from where I started. Now I have to post responses completely out of the mood of current conversations.
Hawk is Andruil's favorite animal, just FYI.
Oh dear, I suddenly regret leaving Hawke in the Fade now... "No one puts Hawke-y in a corner".
This is a legitimate discussion about the immortality vs mortality thing but I have to admit that now all I can think of is Solas becoming mortal and suddenly feeling his age. His physical form is apparently in its 40s, after all and he's old as hell! He's suddenly complaining about his back and his knee and is even more grumpy if he doesn't get enough sleep. Full on "you kids get off my lawn" and waving his staff around.
He'd only be in his 40s. Pierce Brosnan was James Bond in his forties and you still don't hear him complain about his back.
...Mmm, Pierce Brosnan elf.
As damaged as Abelas probably is, I believe that he has potential because at the end of the conversation with Solas he seems like he does want to change... [snip]
Yep he's going to settle down into the paradoxical twilight years of immortality and open up a shop. He'll be Abelas the Ancient Elven Shoemaker!
[snip]
I actually can't imagine Lavellan getting with anyone else in the Inquisition. I'd say Abelas kind of works but I don't know how much he'd want to do with the Inquisitor. Not that we even know where the heck he got off too. And I feel like jumping in with another grumpy ancient elf right after Solas seems strange! Though I guess maybe Lavellan could have a type.
[snip]
Yes, Lavellan has a thing for older seemingly immortal bald elves. 10 or so years ago she was at Arlathven, saw Keeper Zathrien, and an oddly specific fetish just started from there.
Yes I agree with this 100%. I would love for there to be an ending where he is turned mortal. And I think this would actually be a HAPPY ending for him. I think his immortality has only brought him torment and pain. Living a mortal life with a woman he loves would be enough.
Like in my stupid fanfic i plan on him dying like an old man in bed with Lavellan. And he is not remembered as the dread wolf or anything else. He's remembered as a trustworthy and wise man who was in love with Lavellan. In history he's written down as someone who helped the elves build a new empire and a lot of positive stuff. So the best thing he ever does is let himself die.
I don't know, doesn't sound as fun. But what do I know? I want my Lavellan to jumpkick through an Eluvian and come out a godess with hair so perfect and model breaking that she can only appear in cutscenes.
Can the DLC just be Witch Hunt all over again? Ariane and Finn are there, acutely aware of the meta-context, and it just ends with finding Solas at an Eluvian.
