I'm currently experiencing a lot of emotions because of that podcast, this post made me laugh and cry at the same time, I'm so confused about my feels :|

I do not think Solas is going to fall off a cliff or anything like that, but do you remember synthesis ending of ME3? It's sweet, realistic, but so very bitter. One of the reasons it's so good, in my opinion, I wouldn't be happy with my Shepard living happily ever after with Garrus and bunch of adopted little krogans somewhere tropical.

 

I had... issues with every ending except destroy, though that has nothing to do with Shepard's death and more issues with forced change, then-to-fore unaddressed space magic, the overwhelming drive to complete the mission at all costs, and tiny mechanical gods, but I shall not continue to flog a horse that is already so dead that I'm "just making wine, at this point." 

 

I also don't think that Solas is going to fall off a cliff, as a matter of fact, I think he's going to be a very important player in future DLC and possibly even the next game in the franchise.  I do think that the Solavellan romance is going to at least have the potential to end doomed forever though.

Too many feels for me right now too, they're all over the place.  I'm feeling rather strange... everybody else's feels are also affecting my feels even more, I'm like a feels sponge...

Sadly I did Cullenmance on my first PT. And it was glorious. Ties with Garrus for my favorite Bioware romance arc. I have even tried dumping Sola's now to go running to Cullen.

Team Optimism, go! I don't think Bioware is going to pull a DnD "rocks fall, everyone dies :|" in regards to Solas OR his romance. They made it an option, however sad it was, so they'll have to address it down the line.

The worst they could do is have The Inquisitor as a war table mission like the HoF. "What? Why isn't The Inquisitor here? Well, she's busy closing rifts and doing Inquisition things. Lol sucks for her, but I know how to get a message to her."

not to demean the HoF, since I kind of liked how they were in the war table, but that wouldn't be fair to pull for the Inquisitor after allowing a Lavellan to get romantically close to Solas due to the extra development time.

Same,although the Solas one does have an edge because it´s so different but it depends on how it plays out, so for the moment Garrus i still my favorite Bioware romance with Solas and Cullen being a close second

Cullen will never win my heart. I watched his romance on youtube and the only good part was the first kiss when someone walked in on them. It was hilarious because he backed away in a slow and scared way haahahahah. But other than that, Solas is a much better kisser. mmmmm

Was it just me, but when he said "Hi Solasmancers, I am so sorry", he sounded super effing sad?   Which makes me go, ok is he sad for what he already did to us, or for what's to come?  

I am prepared for more heartache.  All I want is more story including Solas, and some closure.  I may regret that later.  But if I can survive thiiiiiiiings from ME3, then I can survive more Solas heartbreak if it comes to that.  No really, I can.  I'm serious!  *sigh*

Noooo..... not like those at all! Solas and Quizzie will be together in the real canon, not just my headcanon! They must! I feel like my canon PT is standing one-legged on a balance beam juggling the Warden/Zevran, Hawke/Fenris, and Lavellan/Solas in the air. No one's been dropped yet, but the situation is definitely precarious. Hope we all make it to the other side! If not Lavellan is SoL and my canon PTs gonna turn tragic 'cause I just can't get into the other Inquisition romances enough to keep them as my canon (sorry Cullen). Help me Solas, you're my only hope!

About whether Solas is an ancient elven god from the very beginning. Methinks it's basically the same as with Mythal or Justice, that Solas merged with Fen'Harel. And now his and Dread Wolf's intentions, desires and ideals are indistinguishable from one another. I see no other reasons for Mr. Weeks dodging the question, otherwise he'd let out too much future plot info

I'm really happy with Weekes' interview.  I mean, I'm sad, of course, but I was sad the moment I got Solas' 2nd romance scene and warning signs starting going off in my head :3  I'm sooo happy they added Solas' romance.  Without it, I feel as though my Lavellan wouldn't have felt as connected to the larger story, or to herself.  Solas' romance doesn't just show a sadder, more tragic side to him, but to Lavellan as well.  And, even then, you can roleplay Lavellan as having this boundless optimism for herself and her people.  She's a "modern" elf who's stolen the heart of this ancient elf, challenging his ideas about everything, even himself.  The fact that he was so close to telling her the truth is monumental.  She's the only one who gets to see a glimpse of that other side of him.

 

His story isn't over so I don't think his relationship with Lavellan is either.  There will be tragedy and more heartbreak ahead, but his feelings were true - ARE true.  This isn't the end.

How does this work in a no-Keiran run, though? Or one where he isn't an OGB? He can't be the key if he doesn't exist or doesn't have Urthemiel's soul.

 

It's an interesting theory though. And maybe it's something like the gods became blighted or corrupt and had to be locked away, but the intent was always to gain enough power again to help or heal them later. Would be a bit more interesting than some derp-release-angry-gods plan.
