Felassan, I think, was never stated as being bald.  He wore a hood; there was no way to tell what kind of hair he had or didn't have.  At least unless I missed something and need to re-read it.  Also, Felassan was almost certainly not Dalish, because he threatened Briala's life if she made him answer that question.  And that's also part of what made me think that he, at least, could be an ancient elf--if he had to explain that he's not Dalish, he might have to explain where he'd really come from.  Also, Imshael seemed to know him from possibly a very long time ago.  I do not believe Solas to be an ancient elf, whereas I believe Felassan probably was.  So they may be connected, but they aren't the same person--unless Solas is a liar.

 

Yeah, it was kinda odd how there was almost no description of Felassan aside from the way he dressed, his tattoos, and the violet eyes.  Even determining his age was a little vague.  There were some context clues in the way he related to the other characters that suggested someone older (and there was the one scene when they were running where he gave me the impression of a much older person having trouble keeping up).  And one scene where Briala is thinking that Felassan suddenly looks much younger under the glow of his staff.

If he was Felassan, that would be something of a given...  I thought it was pretty obvious he was lying about being Dalish, among other things.

 

 

But no, I don't really think he's Felassan.  Someone involved with whatever Felassan was involved with, is what I suspect.

Oh don't get me wrong.  I don't think he and Solas are the same person, I just think that they are connected in some way.

Yeah, I wonder if he's working for what Sera describes as 'it' in the second E3 video. (Not to be confused with Cole) Assuming it comes from the Fade, and whatever Felassan was working for was in the fade (according to the tidbits I've read from all ya'lls) maybe.

David requested that actor specifically, so I am very interested to see him in action too. He sounds slightly lispy, but not as lispy as Atton Rand so I don't think it will bug me like Atton.

I listened to him in some youtube videos and I like his voice, I think it might suits Solas' voice very well but we cannot know for sure how he's going to sound (think of how much Freddie Prinze Jr changed his natural voice for Iron Bull).
In general, I like his timbre and accent   maybe he will use a more croaky voice and ohohoh David personally requested him

So, I was thinking, what if LI announcements are character profiles all over again and they confirm two LIs at GaymerX (like IB and Vivienne) and then leave Solas for the last one off in the distance. It would be an epic troll move. lol

If any of you loves have netflix, definitely check out Torchwood, Solas' VA plays Ianto Jones in the show and he playes as a fabulous bisexual coffee boy.... forehadowing... >.> 

 

Seriously though I'm expecting Bioware to troll us. It's so funny how when Solas was first revealed, people were hoping that he wasn't a LI and now almost everybody I know who loves DA wants to get into his snazzy pants. I've been a solas fanboy all the way but the reveal of his voice made me that much more attracted to him *_*

When Solas was first revealed, everyone seemed to expect him to be an LI, honestly. Since he was the token elf, it was sort of thought as a given. I remember a prolific thread in Scuttlebutt even speculating he'd be the main male romance since they showed him so early. It was more in the middle that people started playing hot potato with him, since reveals later on made potential LIs like Cullen and Dorian the focus.
