I could try uploading my save right before the final romance scene. I don't have the deluxe edition. I did add some DLC at one point, but I don't think I've touched the save file since then, so it might be OK...

Where's the best place to upload something like this?

ok, thanks! If you have a gmail, you could use google drive

if it doesn't work , I'll just ask for a volunteer to screenshot it.

OK, I think I uploaded this correctly -

https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing

I've just uploaded my entire Saves folder, as I can't tell what's what in there.... It should be on the level 24 Ellana profile, with a save time of 113:48. Hopefully, this works!

Do you think that if Solas stops going into Uthenera for long periods of time, that he will become mortal again? Like if he just keeps living and sleeping normally he would finally age and die?

Also what if the reason the Elvehn used to be immortal was because the Veil used to not exist? And the action that locked the "Gods" away was Solas separating the two worlds.

It makes no sense just bouncing around ideas.

Well...I agree the facial animations are wonderful, but...the animations for body movement during cut scenes are *cough* uh, not so good.
They make people look like rigid cyborgs is what I mean.

Well, yeah. You mostly see characters' faces and not their bodies during cutscenes, so I was referring to mainly facial animations. Bioware probably won't get body movement down pat until they start using mocap for everything (have they even used mocap in any of their games yet?).

Just listened to the podcast. *tears well up on eyes* omg the feels. The FEELS.
I have hope we will get a satisfying conclusion even if its heartbreaking. But in a tragic true love story kinda way at least. Hopefully, we will get options. But omg... knowing what Solas felt during that scene helps so much.

SOS!

So in the interview Patrick Weekes says that Solas says something to Bull that cuts him to the bone if you let him sacrifice the Chargers. I can't bring myself to let that happen. :( Does anyone know what Solas says?

Perhaps it's this conversation:

Iron Bull: So, you going to let me have it, Solas? Or do I get to wait and wonder?

Solas: What do you mean?

Iron Bull: We've got the alliance with my people. Given how much you love the Qun, I figured...

Solas: I might scold you? Berate you for your decisions?

Iron Bull: Hey. The Chargers died as heroes for the good of the mission.

Solas: I never said otherwise. The truth is, Iron Bull, you are Qunari. I cannot be disappointed in your decisions. As a mindless, soulless drone, you could never make any.

I believe it is said somewhere that the immortality possessed by the ancient elves was biological, not just magical. While that does somewhat contradict the purpose of uthenera, it seems like that long sleep was reserved for extremely old elves who just got tired of always being conscious. Sort of like a temporary death so you could recover your mind a bit.

Just leaving this here since it entered my mind this morning.  I love how The Boss turns it around into vengeance at the end.  Oh yes, fur is going to fly if/when Solas comes back.

From a page back: I for one am not at all worried about closure. Obviously we will see Solas again and obviously we will have some form of DLC for our Inquisitors. I have faith that one might deal with the other. Theres no way they wont have them meet again because thinknof the mayyyyhemm and from mayhem makes good drama and good emotional drama is what this writing team lives off of.

Not even worried about my place on team of course its gonna happen and its gonna be epic however it ends.

Do you think Solas kicks his feel a little like a puppy when he sleeps?

This is probably stupid and out of character. But my dogs does that when he falls asleep when cuddling.

Solas is not a dog Mari, shutup.

This old song on my playlist reminded me of Solas-Lavellan.

'The old ways are lost,' you sang as you flew

And I wondered why.

Someone must make a video out of this (I would make one if I only had the time).

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
I finally mustered the courage to say hi to my favourite thread on the forums. Apparently I need to add forums anxiety to my quirks. I must admit I have been stalking your posts for the last months and I love you all already.
I have to say that I feel like we should have been able to press Solas further. I mean he obviously slips a few times, most notably after the Winter Palace shenanigans where he says I missed court intrigue. Solas is a person that admires self control and I believe is a big part of his personality. Everything hinges on his self control. I just need to know how far I could go before he snaps and let's the cat out of the bag. I admire his restrain especially when Vivienne mocks him as an apostate. I would definitely enjoy if we get the chance to present him with all the clues we have gathered and be all like 'I want the truth!'. I can totally imagine him saying "You can't handle the truth!".

Only Lavellan knows for sure.

On that note, I'd like to know what Solas thinks about the Fen'Harel stories, like Merrill's tale about the Fen'Harel and the Hound. His words about his 'youth' (and him having to think when Sera asks him if he ever peed magic by accident) make me wonder if that correlates to the trickster tales, since even Felassan tells trickster tales about Fen'Harel. Perhaps his 'rebellious' nature against the tyranny of the old order is more a reflection of a more adult, mature Fen'Harel?

I wonder if a 'Paul Muad'Dib' type of movement among the Dalish might arise if they discover that Fen'Harel and Mythal opposed the old order.

If you're talking about Solas having that opinion, I suppose you could say that. If you're talking about him saying it to Iron Bull, Bull was pushing for a response to the qunari alliance from Solas. And he got one.

Hello there!

It would have been nice to push him more when he slipped up. At the same time, if they'd done that, it may have given away too much information which would have taken away from the stinger's impact. Hopefully the Inquisitor will see him again and can ask.

Yay, another new Solassian!  ^_^ Welcome! I also stalked everyone here for months before posting!

It seemed strange that you couldn't question Solas more! I think that was done in case the player didn't pick up on the hints... But even if you didn't suspect anything, he obviously knew a lot more about ancient elves than the Dalish, so it was weird a Dalish inquisitor wouldn't bug him about that more!

I want to be on team optimism, and I don't think anything that was said necessarily eliminates a more positive outcome in the end, but I just realized that don't think I have it in me to play the game and wait for the outcome with hope that it will be happy... I'm going to have to stop playing, and harden myself because its making me too sad, and not in a good way.  The problem here is definitely my own (low mood person generally) but after the Thane debacle, I think it is time for me to step back.

If there is no positive outcome then its not going upset me as much as it will if I have a selection of lavellan PTs with only gloom waiting for them.

I'll still keep an eye on the forums for now though.

Oh,  Happy New Year btw  :crying:

It can definitely get worse, and yes, going by BioWare's track record, I think the best we'll get is Lavellan helping the new protagonist help fix Solas' mess and she gets one line, something like "He used to love me" or some other flat handwaved nonsense.

I have no faith in BioWare anymore, sorry.  Yeah, they threw straight female characters the Cullen bone (har!) but that's all they think we deserve, because, HEY, let's make a tragic railroaded romance just to humanize the villain!  Oh, make it gated to straight female characters because they can't ****** off their gay/bi fans, and neither can they ****** of their straight male fans... grrrrr...

And I'm only spending time typing this out on the off chance that somebody sees how wrong of a decision this was.

So a little story for you guys, I romanced Cullen with a Trevelyan first, I had no real interest in romancing Solas, I had considered trying it but had little motivation to do so, but then I played a male Dailish elf for awhile and was amazed at how you could get closer to Solas just for speaking some elven, so I thought I'd try the romance out. I knew it ended in heartbreak, not specifically how it ended though, and thought "ah, I romanced Anders I can take it, besides I wasn't that interested anyway". Started up the romance and got to the first "my heart" and from then on I knew this romance was going to ruin me, and it did. :crying:

Also is there a download link to that podcast somewhere that someone could share?
