has anyone read this, btw? so interesting.

really love the DA lore and all of the room it provides for speculation. our theories may not turn out to be correct in the end, but in the meantime, few can be totally and irrevocably refuted.

i think i've become a pretty big fan of this whole elf/blight/lyrium theory. can't imagine how grand everything is in reality.

I was literally about to post this, lol!  But seriously it's so cool.  Look:

EDIT: Giant Andruil was giant.

it is extremely unlikely, perhaps impossible, but i'd love a flashback into ancient arlathan. i'd love to see the pantheon interact and see how it was before. i don't think we'll ever get that though, since a big thing about all this is how it's been forgotten in text and we can only infer.

I think this is a cool theory...but I'm not sure about Sera being Andruil. I feel like that might be just a little too convenient. Solas shows little sign of recognizing her, when arguably he'd be one of the gods to know her the most.

It is an interesting speculation, but Andruil was one bloodthirsty mad ******, which hunted elves as some creepy pastime, and as much as I don't like Sera, I don't think they are merged.

Theory time again:

What if all the elven gods are trapped in that Eluvian that Flemeth releases something into/does glowy blue magic to? The figures on the side are of a wolf and a dragon, which represents Fen'Harel and Mythal.

Fen'Harel worked to force the gods into an Eluvian that only responded to Fen'Harel and Mythal's key to unlock it. Both of them must be there together for it to open fully, but one can partially open it in order to move something one way through it. Putting a soul in, but not taking it out, for example. Mythal was murdered and he didn't know if she endured, but he could still use their special Eluvian to put stuff into it wherever it goes.

Now that he has both Fen'Harel and Mythal's powers, he can use the Eluvian all by himself because he'll have both "keys" to unlocking it. He could go through it himself, or release whatever was inside.

Final Big Bad is the Sing-quisition?

"The Dawn Will Come" will look like a children's choir that never met up for practice in comparison to that.

Final Big Bad is the Sing-quisition?

As someone who has been a member of several a capella groups, I, for one, welcome our new Singquisition overlords.

That was me.

I was saying that in reference to the idea someone had of a multiple part story involving Solas over the course of several DLCs.  BioWare has stated that they're using player feedback to help decide how they approach DLC.  I am sure past reactions to things play a part in that.  I'm not trying to be negative or discourage anything.  I just wouldn't be surprised if they might not devote that much DLC to one character.  Because how many people will buy and play this DLC does factor into their decisions.

Yes you're right they're going to tell the story they want to tell.  And I want them to do that.  It's important for me that BioWare tells the story they want in the manner that they want.  I don't like pandering.  And I don't like the idea of them having to take their story in a direction they don't want to just because fans will get upset.  But that's a discussion not for here.  If they want to do several DLCs involving Solas, uhh yes please.  I ain't gonna complain!

I want lots of DLC.  Focused on whomever they want.  I am biased towards the Solas focus.  But I am trying to keep my expectations in check.

I don't think we'll get several DLCs devoted to Solas' character, but I wonder if we won't get several DLCs that involve his plans and their ramifications. Maybe he only shows up in one of them. Maybe we don't see they're all related to his plans until the end. But it's hard for me to think of how they're going to resolve the things he's put into motion and Mythal's story (and they're so connected that solving one will impact the other) in one DLC if they're not doing expansions. It seems like there are multiple layers to it. I'd really, really love getting a few DLCs that seem totally unrelated to Solas and then he shows up for the final one and it's revealed that they're all connected and Solasmancers get their long-awaited (happy) resolution :D

The thing is that they say that Sera *isn't* Andruil, but has wisp of Andruil's spirit, like Flemythal; Mythal was vastly different to how she is now having merged with Flemeth. It is a faint wisp, but still there.

Not sure if I believe it, but it's very convincing and utterly fascinating. *A*

Well Sera loves hunting Halla. No joke you get approval from her after killed quite the amount...and an update in her codex as well.

I think we're more likely to see the real resolution of Solas and his plans in the next game.  It's probably too big for a DLC.  Especially since they don't want to do any more expansions.

I hope they will be kind and throw us a bone somehow before the next game.

Despite the doom and gloom that has permeated the BSN in some places, DAI seems to be very well received.  They've won multiple GOTY awards.  Fan reception seems to be largely positive.  I think that ups our chances for getting significant post game content.

That makes any amount of liking I had for Sera plummet to almost nothing.

Could be wisp!Andruil enjoys Sera's brutality when killing stuff, even nobles. Afterall, everyone is of common stock when compared to an elven god of the hunt.

This is awful but...does this actually truly work? Because I could use some approval with her and...

What about these first two banters? Him thinking she may recognize the language and the one about the color of the sky.

Hmm. I'm still not so sure. Most of those dialogues, even with Cole, seemed to imply more to me that she might have had magical potential. Or that elves in general have a certain capacity for magic that she was ignoring.

I'm not against the concept! I just don't personally see it.

YEP IT WORKS! I felt horrible killing them...but I was a low level and I needed some leather...I totally discovered the Sera thing on accident! It actually hints about his dislike/hate for Halla in her book on that barrel.

Sera and Andruil ARE both insane...and Archers, and they both hate Elves right? Perhaps that's where the connection ends..

Wow this thread grows so fast, I can't keep up...

Isn't Andruil locked away with the others by Fen Harel?  So she couldn't be Sera?

Aren't elves said to have some kind of magical-ness about them? I forget whre exactly I heard this, but I thinkt David Gaider confirmed it or something. I always interpreted Solas's banter with Sera as him trying to bring those qualities out.

Yeah that's what I thought too.  I think she has magic abilities.  But Solas is careful with revealing it to her, because despite how much he antagonizes her I don't think he is interested in destroying her in that way.  Because she would be soooo devastated.  Magic terrifies her.

The revelation that Solas is Fen'Harel I think makes us read between lines that aren't there.  I am having fun tossing these ideas around.  But for me personally I hope it isn't true.  Sorry to those excited by the idea.  (And please keep talking about it, don't mind me)  I like Sera and I think of what it would do to her as a person to find out she is secretly something that she would hate to be.

Plus it diminishes the importance of Solas being what he is.  It would take some epic level writing to make elven gods hiding in mortals for me to be on board with it.  We've had a lot of crazy theories in here, I am sure we'll have more.

It will just be me and Sera. No one else can know my dark secret.

But this is great. I missed out on some of her scenes after getting into an argument with her. Might as well try and see if I can get her approval a bit higher with it.
