I have a thing about people who derive pleasure from killing animals ...as in a big problem with kind of thing...

 

Whenever I see those animal abuse commercials I just want to find the person who did that to them and make them feel the same pain those animals felt. It is so wrong beating something just because you are bigger than it, just because it can't talk and voice its pain in words. Ugh I can't deal with that crap.

The final game will be a musical.  You heard it here first!

 

 

Yeah, me too.  It's one thing to hate being too "elfy," but I continue to have a theory that the halla are basically elf slaves who got turned into animals.  They can be communicated with in DA:O, and that's more than could be done even with the griffons (which were also very smart animals).

 

Any human/dwarf/qunari characters wouldn't know/understand, but I'd think unless you were playing a very anti-Dalish Dalish, you'd want to avoid hurting the halla... but that's just me.

 

 

If you're an elf and want to roleplay being a proper Dalish, well... I guess it's up to you what you do, but it's not very in character unless your elf is less up on being Dalish I guess?

 

 

 

 

Only time I kill halla as an elf is when it's by accident.  Again, I have a theory that they were made from elven slaves... so I just can't.  Plus, there's that whole thing with how the Dalish treat them as people, as brothers and sisters and friends... Murdering people is generally accepted as bad behavior, yes?

I NEEDED LEATHER...good leather...and those damn bears were too OP...the thing that made me stop hunting Halla was when I accidentally killed the Golden One...or more like Sera did! I saw it and I told everyone to disengaged by Sera fired a shot and killed it in one shot. I was rather mad since it locked me out of that quest, and the whole implications what the golden halla was.

The Dalish themselves practice the idea that they are the most "pure-blooded" of the descendants from the Arlathan elves. It could be another one of those things that has a nugget of truth in it. They ARE mostly descended...from the gods themselves. Either through slave baby impregnation, or from nobles with their patron god's favor.

That might be why Kieran says Lavellan's blood is old. It's old because it dates waaay back to whichever god she gets her genes from, which is a good indicator of why she is a focused/intense dreamer and how she can handle this magic stuff (if a non-mage) of closing rifts without training.

 

This is a bit of a nitpick, but the Dalish didn't make that claim. Finn (a shemlen Circle mage) said that the Dalish have the "purest" blood from Arlathan, when he wanted to use Ariane's blood for the ritual.

You might be thinking about Lanaya telling the Warden that some Keepers are descended from the nobility who governed the Dales.

But if you procrastinate I totally understand. I'd much rather draw Solas too! And I'm a hardcore procrastinator as well TT.TT

It's an interesting theory but I in no shape think Sera has anything to do with Andruil or the elven gods. A lot of the evidence is just a stretch. Sometimes if something looks like a duck, acts like a duck, and sounds like a duck,..it's just a duck. xD No subliminal messages, hidden meanings, or anything. However, I think it's fun to speculate and it's cool fans are so thoughtful!

 

And I'm trying to get my friend/roommate to do some Solas art!. She is crazy good at art stuff, and she is a big fan of Dragon Age. I'll see if I can convince her. 

 

Yeah, the only theory about Sera that I'm onboard with is that she's Amethyne (Iona's daughter).

Solas is Fen'Harel, Flemmeth is Mythal, Sandal could possibly be June, and Sera could possibly be Andruil. I would love if these theories were true because I want more elven lore in DA games. With so many camoflauged gods, the next protagonist couldn't put on their shoes without finding an ancient elven god hidden in there. 

 

And going off of the theory that god souls were used as keys for the eluvians, maybe that's why Morrigan was able to access the eluvian, y'know because she's the daughter of Flemmeth/Mythal. But perhaps ancient elven god souls don't follow mendelian inheritance so I could be wrong.

 

As for Solas content, I hope theres at least something. It doesn't have to be all rainbows and sunshine (preferably of course, because PRAISE THE SUN) but something more than one line regarding a romanced inquisitor in a codex entry found on the ground at the beginning of DA4. That would make me flip a duck.

I call it "superior time management skills". Part of procrastination is I don't want to do it. The guy is a putz and I'm wondering why I agreed to do this. I'm tolerating this knowing full well I'm not going to get paid. This was a favor for a friend of a friends.... >.< With them saying "I'll pay you" and we all know, if it happens it's $20 (if that), which is so much less that my standard fees. Eff it, I'm not getting paid. I'll do it tomorrow.

I personally think they mixed up Falon'Din's, Dirthamen's, and June's vallaslin though. So in my opinion... Falon'Din is actually June, Dirthamen is actually Falon'Din, and June is actually Dirthamen.

When I first heard Sera say that, the first thing I thought of was a mental image of Solas doing exactly that. Shouting ELVEN GLORY in elvish with Lavellan under him either super confused or super embarrassed because the rest of it was all gentle and body worship.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
I finally mustered the courage to say hi to my favourite thread on the forums. Apparently I need to add forums anxiety to my quirks. I must admit I have been stalking your posts for the last months and I love you all already.
I have to say that I feel like we should have been able to press Solas further. I mean he obviously slips a few times, most notably after the Winter Palace shenanigans where he says I missed court intrigue. Solas is a person that admires self control and I believe is a big part of his personality. Everything hinges on his self control. I just need to know how far I could go before he snaps and let's the cat out of the bag. I admire his restrain especially when Vivienne mocks him as an apostate. I would definitely enjoy if we get the chance to present him with all the clues we have gathered and be all like 'I want the truth!'. I can totally imagine him saying "You can't handle the truth!".

Perhaps there were "bloodlines" of elves and certain bloodlines were devoted to certain gods.

What a cool idea. Whether or not is applies to Dragon Age, I think this idea is neato.
