I definitely see story conflicts. There are hundreds of little hooks for what the Inqusition can do. I just don't see as many companion hooks. Why would these people stick around? What am I going to talk to them about? Solas has the very obvious "what is he doing?" and "when will we find out about his identity?" hooks. The other companions are just less clear to me.

That's a good point.  Solas is for sure the most obvious companion hook.

I don't know about anyone else, but all of my companions said they were going to stick around.  I don't know how I managed to be good friends with them all like that!  Even Cass, my Divine.  Well she kind of begged me to be able to stay and help up until she has to fulfill her duties as Divine.

I guess other than Solas I could see maybe Dorian being good potential for DLC focus.  Maybe helping him with something in Tevinter.  Oh wait maybe Varric needs to respond to the Merchant's Guild or something?  Yeah right now I can't see anything for DLC besides Solas or the Inquisition responding to something.  I am very curious what they have planned though.

I call it "superior time management skills". Part of procrastination is I don't want to do it. The guy is a putz and I'm wondering why I agreed to do this. I'm tolerating this knowing full well I'm not going to get paid. This was a favor for a friend of a friends.... >.< With them saying "I'll pay you" and we all know, if it happens it's $20 (if that), which is so much less that my standard fees. Eff it, I'm not getting paid. I'll do it tomorrow.

Oh yeah if you're not getting paid then put it off!!

When I first heard Sera say that, the first thing I thought of was a mental image of Solas doing exactly that. Shouting ELVEN GLORY in elvish with Lavellan under him either super confused or super embarrassed because the rest of it was all gentle and body worship.

I imagine Lavellan goes back to Solas and tells him about it, then sort of awkwardly jokes about how funny it'd be if it were true. The next time he actually does say it, and at first it's sort of silly but in his smoldering way he makes it sexy and now whenever Sera talks about it Lavellan blushes to the tips of her ears >.>

So why did corypheus want the grey wardens to start looking for the last 2 dragons to kill them? I thad to be more than a plot to control them.

I still think the Blight is a really long plot to kill whatever the Dragon Gods had. And I still think the dragon god's souls were the keys to some elluvians.

OKAY I'M READY FOR DLC TO TELL ME IF I'M WRONG OR NOT, BIOWARE.

I'M READY NOW.

I think it was a lie to manipulate them in agreeing to the ritual.  He used his fake calling to have them all so scared and desperate they'd believe the lie.  What better way to not die to the calling than to kill the remaining Archdemons?

I don't think Cory ever wanted to actually follow through on that.  He just needed the Wardens to come to his side.  You could be right, but I really think it was as simple as that.

edit:  Don't forget he also lied to Florriane about making her Queen of his Empire.  Just so that she'd kill Celene.  When you judge her at Skyhold she admits she was tricked.

Well...you could do Wardeny things with Blackwall if you went that route? Dorian could have a plot hook, but I'm not sure his quest to make Tevinter better is something the Inquisitor can have a noticible impact on in just a DLC.

Varric could be a solid choice for a plot hook, even if he eventually goes back to Kirkwall. He's got his own spy network and I'm sure there could be more development about red lyrium and how it ties into the Blight or the Old Gods.

Vivienne could actually be involved in one since she's still enchanter to the Imperial Court. She still has ties to Celene, who is very invested in occult things. Celene could find some creepy occult thing that starts out stupid, but turns into something kind of cool/weird/relevant to the elven gods.

Everyone else is really doing ok for themselves. They stick around after the end game because the Inquisitor still needs a party of 4, and they don't immediately have to go back to whatever they were doing before.

I don't think we'll get several DLCs devoted to Solas' character, but I wonder if we won't get several DLCs that involve his plans and their ramifications. Maybe he only shows up in one of them. Maybe we don't see they're all related to his plans until the end. But it's hard for me to think of how they're going to resolve the things he's put into motion and Mythal's story (and they're so connected that solving one will impact the other) in one DLC if they're not doing expansions. It seems like there are multiple layers to it. I'd really, really love getting a few DLCs that seem totally unrelated to Solas and then he shows up for the final one and it's revealed that they're all connected and Solasmancers get their long-awaited (happy) resolution :D

Obsidian did this almost exactly with the DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. It was actually applauded as a significant improvement story and gameplay wise for a game that had been thought as a subpar sequel to Fallout 3 (I mean I say New Vegas was better than 3 but I don't have the clout for it to mean anything).

Yeah no, Bioware should totally ape that all from NV. If the last DLC has the Inquisitor at The Crossroads convincing Solas not to launch the missiles Fade Veil bomb Veil shattering magic missiles at Orlais and Ferelden only to find out that he can't stop the launch sequence and can only choose whether the missiles set course for Orlais or Ferelden or ED-E Sandal sacrifices himself to stop the missiles from launching then I'm totally game.

I can see that. Instead of shouting it he's all "you are my elven glory" or "the glory of the elves dwells within you"  in that intense, serious way he talks sometimes.

Even better because you could probably substitute "pride" for "glory" in that sentence and still have it make sense in elvish... which leads me to amusing image of Solas screaming his own name whilst in the throws of passion?!

According to Gaider, choosing your outfit for the ball was originally considered and then dropped.

I wanted to say perhaps it was to save resources. But then we have Solas' hat - the hat - that he only wears for that mission. You don't even get to see it upclose in a cutscene unless you romance him.

(Was I the only person who was taken aback by the amount of embellishment that his headwear had, including the facial 'jewelry'? He seemed like a totally different person, in contrast with the hedge mage you came to know him. If the design was meant to make you doubt your understanding of his character, it absolutely did the job.)

I found a good post on Tumblr regarding DA:I's vallaslin:

http://ehetere.tumbl...laslin-meanings

I personally think they mixed up Falon'Din's, Dirthamen's, and June's vallaslin though. So in my opinion... Falon'Din is actually June, Dirthamen is actually Falon'Din, and June is actually Dirthamen.

EDIT: Y'know what, I think I might just make my own reference image or something for the vallaslin. I'm super bored and just finished dinner. lol

I think you're right on all counts.

The vallaslin in my avatar image is, I'm pretty sure, June. I think it's funny that a lot of us have this one and there's a theory that Sandal is June re-awakened. I'd love it if Sandal ended up having an elven harem, lol.

Ha, I was going to say that it's more likely my Lavellan would scream "elven glory" but this works, too.

Someone on another thread said they thought this line was OOC, which is ironic since it's a glimpse of his true identity.

Anyone wish that instead of just letting Solas walk away after the battle, we could have sensed that something was up and talk to him more or hug him? I think when he was saying no matter what happens, I will always respect you, Lavellan should have known that he was about to say farewell. That's obviously a goodbye signal. I wish we could have ran up to him and just do something even if he fadesteps/teleports away in a puff of smoke.

Technically she could still be alive in the box, I mean because you don't open it to verify. Schrodingers duchess!

But seriously: yes, if you have enough court approval you can choose to talk to her, which avoids bloodshed

yep, you need a minimum of 85 court approval and expose her to the orlesian court

Aw, I wish they'd kept that. A scene of Leliana and Josie storming into the quizzy's room to help (read: play dress up the inquisitor) her pick out a dress amuses me.

Yep.

Yeah I know Celene is a you-know-what (I did read TME) and she was horrible to Briala.  Anyways.  I always have 100 approval by the time you get to the end.  I confront Florriane and arrest her.  I like forcing her to become a jester in Skyhold.

If you get over 90 approval or something from the Orlesian court, you get an option to reveal her plans in front of everyone and avoid fighting her. It's quite amusing, and reminded me a lot of when Vivienne tears that throwaway marquis a new one if you choose the "I don't care" option

I think the whole Cassandra calling the Inquisitor was meant to come of as more urgent, hence why she turned away. The cutscene didn't portray it well, in my opinion: they were almost crushed by debris and the Inquisitor doesn't even search for the other companions.

Do you think that the Dalish maybe use elven deity names as exclamations (like "Elgar, nan!!"). Talk about awkward if Lavellan was to yell out one of those. Solas would be like ... ew, I know that guy... lol

Ah, yeah I haven't done a diplomatic playthrough yet, so far they've all been Inquisitors who, for one reason or another, don't like The Game and don't play it very well.

The variations in this game are amazing!

My Lavellan was masterful at The Game.  I am sure Solas was very pleased by that!

Aside from 1 play through I've reconciled Celene and Briala every time.  Most of the companions seem to like the no bloodshed route.

The regicide makes for better cinematic, even though the Inquisition forces act rather poorly.

Merril does in DA2. When you first bring her to Kirkwall she says something like "Elgar'nan. I didn't know elves lived like this"

Well, it definitely made me doubt his fashion sense. LOL. The worst part about his hat is how terrible the clipping is in the dance scene. It's so distracting how the little bangle on the front just goes through his nose.
