I was already planning to run with Cass, Solas and Varric, but I might have to switch out Varric for Cole apparently

and Cole and Cass getting along with each other In all honesty I'm glad Cass is not going to be as judgemental as some thought. Maybe Solas is also using his rift mage powers in the inquisitions best interest. Yep, definitely do not see Solas being a traitor if CASS is fine with him around.

I can see that happening too. Just glad we do not have to worry about Cassandra giving Cole the table treatment.

Fenris and Sebastian would have good natured theological debate, I really liked their banters.  It'd be nice if it's like that.

i can say nothing about your love of drama - my favorite of Feanor's line is Maedhros :3 

 

i agree that if he is actually a loner hermit the paranoia would be a good fit. i'm looking forward to seeing how this set of mages are different from each other. i think they've done a really good job so far of keeping my interest in my least favorite (but still very useful!) class by giving us characters that make me want to learn about their backgrounds and why they do the things they do. and these three seem so very different, i can't wait to interact with them and get the whole story. how are their different abilities going to help us? or even hurt us? i'm sure there are going to be some situations where an elf isn't going to be looked upon favorably (nor a necromancer in Dorian's case). 

 

I love Maedhros as well, poor guy never got a break but he should not have listened to his crazy daddy.

 

I can't wait to see how they interact with myself and each other as well, October can't come soon enough in my book. I don't think I've ever been this excited about any batch of Bioware characters before and I think so far that these are the most interesting they've come up with yet (Hope I won't be disappointed in that respect). I would also certainly love repercussions to playing an elf inquisitor or having a necromancer in the party and while I know Bioware said this would be the case, I just hope it has more of an effect than changing a few lines. I would also like all of them to be connected to the main plot or none at all, because I don't really want one character more important than the other and have the rest as after thoughts. I loved Zevran and Leliana but I sometimes felt they weren't as connected to the main story the same way; but that's just my opinion.

I just wonder if their respect applies when paired up with team yolo or would they eventually explode? I Picture Solas being respectful but certainly not taking anyone's **** considering his food and his snarky looking concept art. I just hope it doesn't mean they lack spice.

 

EDIT:  I took it that team crushed expectations meant that they would be a depressing lot to have together not that they wouldn't get along; like maybe they're just pessimistic about everything?

haha   Have you seen Sera's character kit?  After reading her description there I'd say it could easily be either elf

 

Spoiler

Strap together years of capricious whims and brash decisions, and you have Sera.  Her motley of well-loved and oft-repaired odds and ends is far from tatters and rags.  She wears what she likes for as long as she likes it, and should she like something else, she'll steal it.

 

What little practicality her outfit has is the result more of annoyance than of planning.  When hair got in her eyes, she hacked it off with a knife, and when arrows stung her fingers, she found a glove.

 

Sera's only concern is having fun, and should something get in the way of that pursuit, she's quick to put an arrow in it.

I'm just glad they gave team names makes it easier to say which companions are going to be in your party. Solas(the op) has his work cut out for him now

 

Edit:Also a suggestion when the Solas interview hits, should we put some of the fanart in spoiler tags just to make sure it doesn't take too long to load the first page?

Dang Cass, Cole and Solas, that means i need a ...mage MPC THAT WORKS! YEEEEESSSSS! although I don't like romancing mage with mage... I'll have to muscle my way through this apparently...

 

Still it's nice to hear they're at least revealing little tid bits now now it's just a matter of waiting to see what more is revealed about solas and makes this thread reach 100 pages in a day. (fully convinced this will happen since the new shiny thread is already almost 20 pages long already)

Hm, that does not bode well for Solas as romance option. If that is what I'm thinking of similarity of crushed expectations.
