I've suggested this a couple of times, but people don't seem to like it :(...it's Solas I want, whether he's the Dread Wolf or not, I don't care!

I think the problem most people have is if they split, it becomes a question of: who did I fall in love with?

If the Dread Wolf was the dominant personality through all of this, getting someone named 'Solas' in return isn't going to replace the person Lavellan fell in love with. Maybe some could move on and love that person- but I know at least for my Inquisitor, the person she loves is the personality she's been with all this time. If that turns out to be the mortal part of Solas, then, sure. She'd happily rescue him from the confines of the Dread Wolf.

But if its been him all along, then 'Solas' is a stranger.

Staring at my own fan video of Solas, I think he's going to come back. Despite his visage, he is a deeply passionate man. It's one of those things where you know it's bad and wrong but you keep coming back anyway.

It's probably going to be an *insane* reunion.

THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!

THE ELLUVIAN WITH THE DRAGON AND WOLF.

MYTHAL'S LONG TERM PLOT

JOINING POWERS

AHHHHHH

If this is really so, then I wonder what their initial plan was. Tearing down the Veil, as suggested before?

On a sidenote, the devnote says that Flemeth intended to pass her godhood on to Morrigan. I wonder if she managed to accomplish this.

Yep, they do. Presumably they'd use the same model for every orb. Maybe apply a different glow effect.

Spoiler

Mythal's foci is the bodies she inhabits? What we saw of Solas;, it held his power.  And he took Mythal's power.

I knew that was a real line! Ok. So, a while back there was a really interesting post on reddit:

To give some context, my boyfriend does not play the Dragon Age series, but he does attempt listening to my wild rants. One day, after showing him the cutscene where the Inquisitor first meets Corypheus at Haven, he asks me about the metal-looking ball.
What ball?
The one that Corpheus uses to try and remove the Inquisitor’s anchor, of course. The orb that destroyed the Conclave. That set the world down a path of fire and destruction and far too many demons. Yes, the orb. Foci, Solas calls it. “Foci?” my boyfriend asks. Yes, foci.
“So where’s the other one?”
All knowing, I dismiss the theory with the wave of my hand. There’s only one orb, of course, a powerful relic tied to the ancient Elvhen gods. I mean, Solas was devastated when the ‘foci’ was destroyed.
“There’s always two focus points in an ellipse.”
Math stuff. He tries again, in Dragon Age speak. “The Breach. Ellipse-shaped, right? Foci help define an ellipse.” In other words, if Solas’ orb played a role in creating the Breach, there should be another orb. Foci, the plural of focus.
Wait. Wait. What if – and I’m going out on a limb, here – what if there really were two orbs? One dedicated to Mythal, and the other Fen’Harel? It changes the context of DA:I’s backstory, because it would mean that Fen’Harel wasn’t the sole architect.
TLDR: Two focus points, ‘foci’, required to form an ellipse. The Breach is an ellipse, and our known focus point, the Elvhen relic, is destroyed. There’s a second relic, but to whom does it belong?

Source: http://www.reddit.co...ng_mathematics/

Interesting. Well the question does present itself-- where is Mythal's orb?

As for where he was sleeping, there's apparently an altar to Fen'Harel at Sundermount as well as one to Mythal. The saarebas in DA Redemption speaks to Fen'Harel at his altar there. The Dalish ritual at Mythal's altar is what allows Flemeth to reconstitute. Maybe the ritual in DA Redemption is what woke him up?

With all this talk about spheres, I wonder about the four spheres you see on his hermit tarot. Maybe the orbs have a mirror reflection in the Fade? One key that opens on them on this side, one on the other. Then if Solas could get into the Fade physically, he might be able to recover his orb's mirror reflection there- which is why the Inquisitor changes everything, but he won't use her power, so it can't.

Well yeah, it would have to be Solas that she fell in love with, I think it would make a nice bit of sense for his conflict. That was my suggestion in fact. I doubt that's the case, but it would have been nice...

That was before the interview though, so I don't know anymore *shrugs*

Man you think he'd have done it while he was in the fade physically like a week earlier lol.

Knowing that mythal has been planning this for 2000 years. Doing small moves this way and that way.... I think her revenge/justice is going to be insane. Maybe she was the one manipulating Solas to be a part of her plan.

Very possibly! Must have been a confusing wakeup call.

I don't feel like one could separate them and get the same person. If Solas/Fen'Harel were two separate beings to begin with (something I'm not convinced of), then they're probably like Flemythal now -- so melded together that they lack distinct personalities. What if Fen'Harel is the rebellious, freedom-driven side of the pair, and Solas is the methodical, introspective side? Would you want one without the other? I have my reservations...

So I was ninja-manced by Leliana after telling her outright that I loved Zevran and just wanted to be friends with her, but I got this cool story as a result (not my video):

Spoiler

BW loves their tragedy. How would ya'll feel with an ending like that? I hope if things don't work out between them there's at least a nice legend like that (but I'd much rather things work out!!!)

Or when Morrigan's eluvian was just chilling out in the Keep. Apparently Flemythal and Kieran both knew how to unlock it and get into the Fade physically. Which no one bats an eye at, by the way. No one questions how weird it is that Mythal can apparently easily walk bodily in the Fade!?

I doubt they'd force it upon her. But knowing Morrigan, she'd take it. I doubt Mythal/Flemeth picked Morrigan as their chosen successor lightly. If she has Kieran, her last meeting with her is even a test- to see if Morrigan would choose power over the life of her son. She chose her son, and that seemed to please Flemeth/Mythal.

Agreed, after she found out Flemeth wasn't trying to steal her body, Morrigan's whole attitude changed.

She values her autonomy more though, since that's what lets her exercise her power. I could see her rejecting Flemythal's "gift" if she views it as possession. I bet Flemythal has planned for that already, but we'll see.

Super interested to find out what Morrigan does if the Inquisitor is bound to her. I feel like she wouldn't be above using that to her advantage. I'm not sure she really considers Quizzie her friend since they were only together for a few months.

I was thinking of naming my Trev "Alindra" xD

You might already know this, but I'm pretty certain the story is based off the Chinese myth of the Weaver and the Cowherd, and/or one of its Japanese variations.

Back to Solas, did anyone notice that the wolf in the Dalish warrior/rogue card is being shot up by arrows? From a bow facing down in the same way the bow in Andruil's mosaic appears? I completely missed it before:
