Confession. Wanting to know what happens to Solas next (especially in a romance playthrough) is the primary reason I even made an elf inquisitor to begin with.

 

Well if I was playing a human Mage I would be romancing Cullen, would that have a detrimental effect? This is all a long long way off... I'm 100% Solasexual at this time.

Someone on twitter brought up that Dumat died the same year andraste was born. Andraste was super powerful. What if when dumat was killed by the wardens, the soul went into whatever powerful baby mage was near by?

"Dumat was finally slain by Grey Wardens at the Battle of Silent Fields in -203 Ancient (992 TE), the Wardens having learned by that point that only a death blow dealt by one of their Order would prevent the archdemon's resurrection in a new host body."

Maybe someone put Dumat inside of her. I remember one banter between Cole and Solas talking about something being put inside a child and it hurt her. Unless that was just another vague reference to a movie or something.

Here's Solas being sad about the Breach, then. Does anything else think he didn't quite predict it would be so destructive or that an actual Breach would happen?

Also I made Solas a staff that has a chance to drop caltrops around him. In retrospect, this was probably a poor decision given that Solas doesn't wear shoes.

That would mean Andraste is the child of an dark ritual. Also, the armor of the warden that slew Dumat was found by the HoF in Ferelden, Andraste birthplace, but Dumat was slain in the north, near Tevinter. Not to mention Kieran also talks about dreams and voices in his mind, and that sounds an awfully lot like what Andraste said, of how the maker spoke in her dreams.

Yeah I read it myself as well. About two weeks ago...I think that is. So Flemeth intended to pass on the essence of Mythal to Morrigan. We don't know if she is truly dead or "alive" in some sense of that term though.

Speaking of those orbs-- reminds me of one of the Well of Sorrows codex entries: https://www.dropbox...._Final.png?dl=0

 

I always found it interesting how after you drink from the well of sorrows, these codex entries can be "translated" into something that makes sense and hints at all sorts of important implications regarding elven lore and whatnot.  Like I'm surprised how much lore content is actually contained in all of the different codex entries and how people who don't read the codex entries can actually miss out on a significant part of the lore.

 

Like you never know what you're going to get when you read a codex entry.  There are some codex entries that detail the fall of Arlathan and all of this mind blowing elven lore, and then there are codex entries with "I had a vision of my great-grandmother and I found it oddly arousing".

 

I bet theres like two guys who are responsible for writing codex entries, and one gets paid more than the other so the one who gets paid less is constantly working really hard to make all of these meaningful codex entries in hopes of getting a raise while the other guy is just like "lol I made a funny".

The outcome for the templars is still the same as if he continued to keep using the lyrium.

Ha. Damn you guys. This thread gained 200 pages while I was away on holiday.

 

Just thought I'd swing by with a delayed Happy New Year. 

I'm still slowly making my way through the game on Nightmare with my Solas bromancing elf. Still also wishing there was an option to give Solas a friendly bro-pat on the shoulder. Come on BW, the guy looks like he could do with a friendly shoulder pat. 

Still find it hilarious that Solas gets introduced as your manservant at the Winter Palace.

And er, I still really hate the Hissing Wastes. Yup.

Got a few games on the go from Christmas so it might be a while before I finish Tristan Lavellen's ginger adventures in Thedas. Plus I'm stupidly attached to him and WANT TO PLAY AS HIM FOREVER. This hasn't happened to me in a game since DAO and my dalish warden. So I'm super happy to have a headcannon to keep me occupied through all my boring non-DA moments in life.

 

I still need to do a Hard mode run for my Platinum trophy. This was originally what my Mage Trevelyan was for. But, meh. Being human is boring and I hate the Cullen romance. I don't know why I hate the Cullen romance, I was in fact really looking forward to his romance. But. UUGH. No. Nope nope and nope. Bluergh.

 

Sooooo to fill that trophy I have recreated Niamh. My super sweet, super niave, childlike Lavellan First. Ready to get crushed by Solas again when I have finished my other games and my nightmare run. I never liked how she looked in my first run, and I missed out on loads so I aim to make this my 'perfect' run for that all important Solas DLC *cough*HINT*cough*
