XD I gave another little snippet about a page back so...you could try to put those two lines together. I finished a project I was working on so I intend to start writing tonight. I may post some few pieces later tonight and then perhaps send the full chapter for someone to read before I post it fully anywhere.

How do you guys think Lavellan will go about finding Solas? I like the idea of going through that eluvian in skyhold. The quest should involve a lot of puzzles trying to figure out which eluvian leads to where. There also needs to be a bunch of puzzles to unlock the eluvians. Of course, they need to have other things in the quest such as boss fights, dialogue, etc to balance things out, but I think solving puzzles is crucial. I think Solas is so evasive that it takes cleverness to find him and the temple of mythal was also protected by a puzzle/ritual so it makes sense with elven lore. Some players may hate all the puzzles, but it just makes a lot of sense to me. Also, I like puzzles.

The Anchor connects the Inquisitor to Solas in the Fade. Maybe it does something similar in the world of flesh-and-blood.

I'm suddenly struck with the image of Lavellan holding out her Anchor hand like a metal detector. If the hand pulses faster, it means she's getting closer!

Yeah the anchor + drinking from the well idea makes the most sense. But it almost seems a bit too easy. The journey must be hard so that the rewards are sweeter.

Never said it had to be easy. I'm sure he's tried to take steps to keep her from finding him anyway. I'm sure he'd expect the Inquisitor to search for him eventually.

I think it also depends on how you played Lavellan. If you played her being reluctant and not wanting to do any of this, angst is more understandable. If all she wants to do is do what has to be done and then go back to her life (which we all know is never going to happen), Solas leaving would probably hurt since he was so close to her...just a thought.
This was my Lavellan, She wasn't desperate to get back to the Clan but she really was not comfortable with being the head of a big organisation like the Inquisition and hoped that, once the breach was closed and Cory defeated, she could move on with Solas who was her best friend as well as lover. Continuing to lead the inquisition was not her desire at all. I felt that she was quite private and shared little with the companions, so didn't really want to talk with them in the aftermath so headed out on her own except for her horse to get her head together and decide what to do next.
Its not possible for me to RP Solas with the choices I'd make, it would have all come to an end (at the latest) when he made the 'kinder in the long run' comment, that would have required a serious talk that would have required a full explanation and he'd have been told to gtf if nothing was forthcoming, I wouldn't stand for any of that **** . He'd also have had plenty of time for his painting, he'd have been well out of the party.

My friend and I play together and we totally headcannon our elves having known each other. She the clutzy Archer who had a habit of hitting everything but her mark (including herself sometimes) and my know-it-all nerd First. Mine often went with her to keep her bandaged up. Which also accounts for some of her grace as she's had to learn to dodge very well to keep from getting hit by stray arrows.

I've dated plenty of them in all shapes and sizes. Some were good, some were bad. I married one. We have our computers set up next to each other and we compete who can build the most OP character. Or we show off our kills.....it's fantastic.

My Lavellan will throw herself into magical research, but there's no way to get around that she wanders around that party then goes back to her quarters and the one person who should be there celebrating with her isn't.
And I do allow her a sobby moment with Leliana. No one else even mentions him.
