The postgame codex entry for Solas says he was last seen heading west, and Morrigan, I think, said that the HoF also went to the west in her journey to stop the Calling. It may be a coincidence, or a hint that both will end in the same destination. My guess is that the story will focus on the Wardens and Solas will be involved somehow.

 

It's interesting that they're all going west... most people have speculated that the next game will be around the Anderfels / Weisshaupt because of the Wardens-- which are much more NORTH of Skyhold/Orlais than they are west. West of Orlais is something called The Tirashan forest, which is right next to such interesting places as Arl Dumat, Urthemiel Plateau, and the Sea of Ash.  Pretty Old Gods-y, eh?

Cassandra is like the only other person outside of Lady Lavellan that I could accept in a relationship with Solas. I do love their friendship, though. I like seeing how Solas comes to admire Cassandra's integrity and faith and later even accepts the possibility of the Maker. I just love having Solas, Cassandra, and Cole in a party together. Team Mutually Respectful Moral and Theological Debate for life.

 

I think they would make a great couple. And they would both make each other grow a lot in a positive way.

Well, he is sort of used to this... after all, I did inform him while playing Origins that if Alistair popped out of the screen, we would be running away together, after all.

 

I dunno though, I CANNOT get over Solas. Perhaps because the whole romance arc was just so. Damn. BEAUTIFUL. And then it kicks you in the teeth and leaves you sobbing on the floor. I wasn't even planning on romancing Solas my first play through, suddenly it was just happening.

 

I need some ice cream and a blankie now.

It might surprise, or make you lol to find out that more people here than you think never intended to romance Solas. More than a few people intended Cullen to be first, or people like me who tried to romance Cassandra with female Trevelyan.

Some people got to *chuckles* and decided to nope out and reroll a Lavellan, and some other people got to The Fade Scene before rerolling.

What's some good intervention stuffs for cheering up? I'm going to suggest watching Lost Girl on Netflix.. it's kind of a Supernatural meets Xena. I really enjoy it, it's very girl-power ra ra. And there's a cute wolf in it as well..

 

Also, Geek & Sundry on youtube where Felicia does LP's with her brother Ryon. Those always give me giggle fits.

Listening to Solas and Cassandra become close friends is so nice. I think if things were different, they would make a wonderful couple. But seeing them bond as friends is also really nice.
 
I also love that the first thing that makes them like each other is their shared hatred of other people.

I know! Cassandra is my fave because she is sooo grumpy. She is my lavellans kindred spirit. I think cass is going be legit heartbroken when everyone finds out about Solas. Now I'm angry at solas for how sad Cassandra is going to be.

I hate to be the party pooper here, but if it bothers you so much that you think it's a problem, then the only solution is to go cold turkey. Avoid all DAI stuff for a while and go do other things. Kind of like how you go no contact after a break up. I enjoy obsessing about this so this thread is great for that. Need moarr Solass.

And guys, I have this terrible train of thought and need someone to tell me it cannot be true:

Please tell me that Solas doesn't have an 'original body' somewhere, sleeping?

I believe that dialogue only comes up with a romanced Solas? So its probably just referencing Lavellan's perfume.

We don't know - but I always like that "the simplest answer is probably the truth".  I think it's HIS body.   Solas is Fen'Harel  - same person, same body. He was just one of those 'super' dreamers that was able to stay alive in Uthenera without food/water etc.  I don't know what that perfume comment is - a lot of people interpret that as Cassandra smelling Lavellan's perfume on him and he's trying to play it cool. EDIT: Cassandra would totally know though. Because I would totally tell her.

I think Cassandra would be good for Varric. Better than Bianca. I actually do prefer that than Cassandra and Solas because Varric/Cass and Lavellan/Solas would have great double dates and I like the idea of it having to be Lady Lavellan for Solas because I'm a sap like that.

I mean, there's no way to know for sure where the next game will be located, but I'm pretty sure we can expect the same kind of set up we got with DAI...maybe the locations will be a little bit smaller (if the criticism is listened to; I personally have no problem running around wide open spaces) but there's so many places left to go...Antiva, Nevarra, Seheron, as well as the Anderfels...not to mention the elephant in the room Tevinter. Plus I've still got my fingers crossed for that trip to the Black City. BLACK CITY TURN DOWN FOR WHAT

 

Basically, I think we can expect in the next game to go to locations that reach all points of the compass...and it will most likely be awesometastic.

I rolled a female qunari mage first. Got to Solas' quest to activate the first "solas artifact" thing in the hinterlands and met that bratty First. She called Solas a "flat ear" and I nearly lost it at my screen, surprising myself considerably. I wasn't aware I'd gotten that attached to him. lol I wasn't really feeling the romance options available to my qunari, so I said to hell with it and rerolled to try dual dagger rogue and romance this elf I'm apparently very protective over for some reason. lol

 

I was set back 30 hours of gameplay (I'd basically only run around the hinterlands and completed what I could of the storm coast at the time, though. hadn't even done the mage/templar quest yet. I'm slow. lol), but it was worth it.

More people who ship Cass/Varric? Be still my heart! I thought I was alone. (except for Dorian. He's clearly the canon shipper of this pair.)

 

Also, when is this banter? *Is* it banter? Cus I don't remember Solas ever being asked about perfume.
