I was thinking more like there being a possibility of the inquisitor dying depending on certain decisions, Doesn´t the "Justinia" say something about it impossible to remove the anchor without the inquisitor dying? Lets say that´s what he needs,maybe one of your past decisions will come into play here, but I don't think it would be forced so people who didn´t play would still be able to set up their preferred outcome via the keep. I´m most likely wrong but it´s fun to speculate I have a question,if they ever did a DLC similar to ME3s Citadel,what do you think the inquisitor and Solas would do together?

I've been curious on people's theories on the Well of Sorrows, and how It'd be beneficial in maybe finding Eggman?

Stay, you're in good company. I'm the awful kind of person that'd pay for romance-only DLC for Solas. Especially if it had an optional "fade-to-black" scene.

 

 

Related to DLC... they've been very tight-lipped about commenting on anything other than multiplayer DLC. Is multiplayer quite popular, or is it just very easy to add multiplayer content? I find it a little odd that they're so open about talking about multiplayer support but won't even reveal if we'll get armor packs for the actual game. Makes me wonder if they're waiting for something or just trying to build up the excitement.

It is a "lot" easier to add multiplayer content. You aren't dealing with much cinematics, writing, or complex plot flags that a story DLC would. This isn't to say that multiplayer addons are a walk in the park or anything, just that it is comparatively more difficult to create a story DLC.

 

There will be both. There's no reason to really even worry about it. ME3 had good synergism with the multiplayer packs, as new DLC often provided new models for multiplayer DLC. In a business sense, one finances the other.

I wish there was a shirt that didn't have a dominating picture on the front.  They tend not to look attractive on my chest ... I just have big boobs ... It's not that I'm overweight ... I'm overweight.

 

But in all seriousness, I do wish there was a way to tell of the screened image was the thick plasticy kind or the nice kind.  I would totally wear as a night shirt.  All of my favorite shirts are night shirts.

I'm aware some people think he either was Solas, or was killed by Solas. I can see why they think he might have been Solas. He has a similar outlook on many things and then there's the name. My take is that he's a compatriot or follower of Fen'Harel, possibly a priest of the god who ends up killing him, hence his vallaslin. At some point he was freed and converted to Chaotic Good Anarchy by Solas and briefs him when he wakes up, which is why Solas has absorbed some of his perspective on the Dalish and Briala. He reminded me of Abelas moreso than Solas, in a way. I thought about Solas' words that there were other places, other duties, that Abelas could take up, and thought he might have given similar advice to a jaded follower of Falon'Din or Dirthamen or some other elven god who'd gone tyrannical.

 

And, aagghh... I read some of the fanfiction that turns Solas into scary, lounge lizard Fen'Harel and I agree it's... not my thing.

I can't decide if Lavellan would have the background knowledge necessary to use the Well of Sorrows or not. Abelas seems to think there's the very real possibility that the Well will be useless to a mortal, and even Morrigan - who we know has enough elven knowledge to unlock the eluvian and translate ancient elven - says it will take years for her to sort through all of it. Cole seems to think the voices might even drown out the voice of the Inquisitor/Morrigan. I don't think it's like a nicely indexed library in her mind, more like standing in the middle of a busy train station with hundreds of people holding their own conversations.

 

Keep in mind, Morrigan doesn't realize who Mythal is until Flemythal tells her. It's only after the reveal that Morrigan can "ask" the voices and confirm what Flemythal is saying. I imagine that  to know what she's Lavellan would have to know what she's looking for in order to get an answer. While it may be totally obvious to us that Solas is an ancient god, I don't think we're given enough evidence from Lavellan to assume that she has even figured out that he's an ancient elf. So I can't figure out what she'd ask that would get her an answer coherent enough for her to understand. If she asked, "who is Solas" there are hundreds of answers she could receive and they'd probably come in the form of emotions, images, long strains of thought...I doubt it'd be a unified "Dread Wolf" or anything like that.

 

Anyway...are you interested for fanfiction purposes or for the future of the game? For the latter, I think the impact of the Well for finding Solas might be limited just because half of the players don't drink from the Well and there's no evidence that Morrigan is coming back. There needs to be some other way that we run into him. For fanfiction..there are tons of possibilities

This is pretty much the same as my thinking regarding Felassan. It makes the most sense to me.

If when a Wolf Hunt DLC will come out, every player would (hypothetically) have to follow the more-or-less same storyline and run into Solas no matter who drank from the Well, so I assume it wouldn't play a big role in finding him. It can, however, play a role in what happens before/afterwards. The devnote says FleMythal intended to pass her godhood on to Morrigan; we don't know yet, but if it happens and Morri accepts - who knows what plans she might have for an Inquisitor who drank from the Well. Even Morrigan aside, the whole "bound to an ancient elven god" thing could backfire at any moment in a million of possible ways.

I don't think he was killed by Solas. Mostly because Solas doesn't seem to care about the eluvians despite having numerous opportunities to gain access to them during DAI, he has absolutely no reaction to Briala, and he doesn't seem to be against the elves helping themselves. Whoever killed Felassan really wanted the password to the network, and did not seem to accept that Briala was going to use them to help the oppressed city elves.

 

So I think Felassan was bound to the service of another god and it was that god that killed him (my money is on Falon'Din). I'd never thought that Felassan might have actually had contact with Fen'Harel, but that's pretty interesting. Now that I think about it, it does seem like he knows him personally. But I wonder if he only knew him in the past, because Felassan seems to think that Fen'Harel would not be happy with a comparison to Briala or her use of the eluvians. From what we see of Solas in DAI... he seems to respect Briala and I think he'd be happy with anything that helped the people that are enslaved (in the literal sense or in the systematically oppressed sense). I think he would find the idea of using the eluvians for what is basically guerrilla warfare to be a bit brilliant. It's not like they're being used for anything else right?

But I don't think Solas actually is Felassan. While I'm sure Solas has the ability to change his appearance, I just don't think they are one in the same even if there was some possession going on.

Like, say Fen'Harel needed a new body. Why would he take that body and then change the way it looked? [We know that Felassan had violet eyes, for example.] Why go through all that effort to hide who Felassan was, when only maybe one other would even recognize him? 

I think either Solas killed him, or Solas is not involved with Felassan at all other than the fact that they are both ancient elves.

Felassan's affections towards Fen'Harel seem to be bound in legend, and we know Solas doesn't really care much for Dalish legends. I think Felassan admires Fen'Harel, either because he is a servant, or because Fen'Harel represents freedom and opposition to whatever entity he is shackled to.

He does hear the mages out, it's just before you encounter the spirit. They say that they bound the demon because they were afraid of bandits and are pretty adamant that the Wisdom Spirit was always a demon and that Solas doesn't know what he's talking about by saying otherwise. Their stance is pretty clear. It's useless to speculate if he would have reacted differently if they'd actually been apologetic, but I think he understood their perspective well enough.

 

The dialogue with Sera is pretty interesting, especially this part:

 

• Solas: Some of your forces, valuable until now, have no interests beyond creating disruption. Chaos for its own sake. They must be repositioned where they can do no harm, or removed if necessary. You replace them with organizers willing to build a new system and carry out the ugly work that must be done.

He says they need to be removed "if necessary," but that is not his first decision. He can be calculating and ruthless, but violence is not his default solution to those problems. TME spoilers:

Felassan could fall under the "necessary" category since he disrupted the plans of whoever he was working for, but since I can't figure out how Solas' plans would relate to the eluvians...

 

Regarding what I said earlier about Briala and Solas... Here's another line from the rebellion banter with Sera:

I like this line a lot. Not just in the tactical sense, but its also the way a wolf would hunt.

I'm pretty sure the ONLY concrete clue the quiz elf would have is:  Abelas' use of language for her (He calls her Shemlen), and then for Solas (He groups Solas in with the Elvhen). It's subtle and I ALMOST mistook the 'shemlen' as being a referral to Morrigan. I had to watch it twice.

But otherwise, the other signs mean nothing because Solas has the reasoning of exploring the fade for anything else he seems to know. ;}

I don't know how you guys get the courage to go through with the second playthrough. I was doing fine until I did all content before temple of mythal. I am having trouble starting it because I know what would happen next. Argh. I don't want to go through with the break uppp.

 

I'm dealing with it by never going there!  I have a lot of sidequests to do and ruins to explore and dragons to kill and a Cadash/Bull, Adaar/Sera and Trevalyne/Dorian playthrough to do!
