I thought I liked her. Until I realized she was simultaneously quanopsychotic and hates people who disagree with her to the extent of getting lots of people killed before trying someone else's way.
I assumed Solas had just used Morrigan's. As long as he can shapeshift, it wouldn't be hard to beat the Inquisitor back. Or Skyhold may even have another eluvian hidden somewhere in the depths. It did used to be an elven keep.

The World of Thedas book says that magic cannot be used for teleportation.
But you're also not supposed to be able to walk in the fade, travel through time, or become a corporeal spirit so...

Having that out of the way, I felt the desire to post in regards to some comments being made. Posts referring to how they/we/one feels towards these pixelated characters, and the attempt to explain to others "not in the know". I wrote a post on a private thread, a while back, and shared a video. This video was actually introduced to me, in one of the Lobby threads.

Merrill is my least favorite of all the DA2 companions, and the only one I never romanced (other than to sleep with her and dump in in that one playthrough where I sleep withe everyone).
Nothing annoys me more than when people start bringing up her coming back and having something to do with Solas. In fact, I thought I was cool with Merrill until people started suggesting that. It wasn't until I read those ideas that a seething hatred for Merrill started bubbling underneath my skin.

I'm ok, really I am. I just don't ever need to see Merrill again.

People have different views on what's dom!Solas or bordering that, so I can't accurately label that without someone getting offended anyway.
The more freaky stuff I'll definitely remember to label. I can see why that needs to be labeled.
Now reading descriptions of the fanfic, A03's tags, or the prompt will usually give you all you need to know about what's in the fic, can't recommend that enough. Don't just plow ahead and read a fic and complain that you weren't warned ahead of time if it says clearly in the description. Which I totally know some of them don't, then complain away. (The Ladder fic was a surprise choke scene, can't say sorry enough for posting that one without a warning, I'd honestly forgotten.)

Alistair has to be a warden yes, although this is the first time it has triggered, Morrigan romanced the warden who did the ultimate sacrifice so Kieran is a normal boy in this one

That's the version I got to trigger, as well.
I don't think there's any cause to be angry at Merrill just because some fans might want to see how their interactions would be. We don't have a lot of Dalish characters who are both alive and interesting enough to come up again.
It isn't like having one elf female around is going to suddenly make competition for Lavellan.
I think it would be fun to see Merrill again, and some of the other DA2 characters. They still have a role to play in the overarching story, and we know at the very least Merrill's eluvian is still of importance.

I've had a dream about Solas & Cole this morning.
Both times I've been out of the house I've heard Hallelujah (two different versions of the song) on the radio (the feelssssss).
He has pretty much taken control over my life.
On a more positive note - gut feeling says there will be a satisfactory DLC.
Not sure if my gut feeling got corrupted by Solasloving though.
I´m not really a big fan of Merrill but she doesn´t bother me that much, but I would´t complain if they bring back the DA2 companions,after all Fenris in frostbite 3 
After that wonderful closure of the first meeting with Corypheus, where the lonely Inquisitor makes his/her way thru the snow (could be longer than that, is one of my favorite parts in game), is when I really fell in love with this game.
I got the feeling that it would be more personal than the two previous Dragon Age, and then I first got into the cutscene in which Solas guides the Inquisitor to Skyhold; I was amazed to have my own castle! Immediately I saw myself modding everything there, to make it really my own place with my character's personality.
I'm probably not finished yet, but I'm satisfied with how it looks for now, time to move on to another textures. I know, too many pictures, but I figured that this is the modding thread, and the authors of the tool are making it so we can make some nice mods, might as well show it!

I'm awake of some flaws, but make a patch with over 60 textures adding them one by one repeatedly is not cool -.- I will fix them when I make my final patch for Skyhold.

Hear, hear. In DAO all origins were so tightly interweaved, it was hard to pick one canon. In DAI you really have no choice but to go with mage lavellan, if you want to sqeeze the most interesting details out of the plot.
Gah, I want to unsee it!! I admit, after my first hour I did try to find some Solas-hair-mod-pretty-please, but now it looks so freaking unnatural.

Oh she's lovely - I adore her eyes. I like how DA basically has weird eyecolors as canon too. There's a blip in the Thedas book about how some mages start manifesting their powers after a change in eyecolor

Even though she's a warrior I'm thinking of playing her like a little spitfire, a fiery personality. Hard to accomplish that with the dialogue choices in game, I'll probably choose the sarcastic #2 dialogue choice most of the time.

Seconded for Aveline! She's my bro in every DA2 playthrough. I knew I was going to like her the minute I saw her punching that hurlock in the face. 
I was also super disappointed with her not being a romance option, but it's ok because I have Fenris and Isabela.

I love Aveline. You can help her defend Kirkwall against Sebastian as well, but I'm sad she doesn't pop up. I think she's bound to KW since she's the Guard Captain and married so she might not be up for adventuring (sadly).
Let's be honest I love all the DA companions. They're all great and I'd love to see any of them again. Too bad most of them aren't necessarily alive 100% of the time.

Eh, Aveline filled the Wynne part of DAO for me. Judgement and "right" to the point of stupidity. I blame her for starting the Qunari attacking.
