I love Aveline. You can help her defend Kirkwall against Sebastian as well, but I'm sad she doesn't pop up. I think she's bound to KW since she's the Guard Captain and married so she might not be up for adventuring (sadly).

 

Let's be honest I love all the DA companions. They're all great and I'd love to see any of them again. Too bad most of them aren't necessarily alive 100% of the time.

Oh yeah I forgot about that mission!  Eff you Seb.  It's fun to picture Aveline laying the smack down.  I wonder if she brought out her "Don't" sign.  Haha

@Birdy  Ooohhh yeah I never thought of her in that way before.  I can see that, good point.  As for the Qunari, they were just looking for their opening.  I disagreed with Aveline in regards to those elves.  But if Aveline hadn't pushed, they would have found another excuse imo.

I never know how I feel about Merrill. She's a bit of a nightmare, but then I can say the same about everyone in DA2. Ugh. What a bunch.
But I certainly wouldn't be mad to see her again. I still kinda want her to team up with my Dalish Warden again. Actually, throw my Lavellan in the mix and game on. ELVEN GLORY.

Running round the Hissing Wastes and banter seems to be happening for once. Another reason I love Solas is for this part of his banter on religion with Cass:
Cassandra: "You have seen much sadness in your journeys, Solas. Following the Maker might offer some hope."
Solas: "I have people, Seeker. The greatest triumphs and tragedies this world has known can be traced to people."

What will Solas do if Lavellan goes to Halamshiral dressed like this ?

I'd love to see Merrill again. After DAI we have an open space for a mage, and possibly two (or 1-2 empty warrior slots), so I hope we get a temporary companion for any post-ending DLC, and I hope that companion is a mage. The list of important characters that are definitely alive and are also mages is really short though. Mihris and Morrigan are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

 

In DA4 I'd love to see a male Dalish character

I want the ****** male elves to look the way they do in the damn concept art so I can finally play as one, and hopefully with another elf female, preferably dalish.

 

Seriously, what was going through their heads when they made Solas and Sera, then compared the two models? Why can't we look like that?

 

Hopefully some messiah comes in and makes modded elven bodies like that so I can make an elven male. Though maybe they're not so bad in heavy armor? Anyone tried?

Just finished getting to Skyhold for the like, fifth time, and I still get chills.

LOL, romancing Cullen this time and I still can't leave Solas at Skyhold.  The feels running around the Exalted Plain with Dorian, Solas and Cole are just ridiculous after Solas's side quest.  Love my bald elf, why oh why Solas?  I don't care if his romance ends in tragedy, he is one of the best Bioware characters ever.

Solas took a while to grow on me, but now the more I see/hear him, the more I'm just . LOL. I can't even explain it.

I'd enjoy seeing Merrill again, too, especially since (with their knowledge) she could tie into the Orlesian Eluvian plot with Briala and her network, and with the Skyhold Eluvian and the Crossroads with the elven Inquisitor who drank from the Well of Sorrows. After Solas' enigmatic departure, Merrill would also fit as an open-minded elven companion, and I think she's get along well with Cole.

 

Since she's serving taking care of the elves who were left homeless because of the war (ironically, a Keeper of sorts), I'd wager a safe place she could take them would be Skyhold, where we already have some Andrastian and Dalish elves taking up residence.

He has become my favorite character in the game. I'm doing a Cullen run now, but I still take Solas on every mission. He shall ever be my bro, even if he's not being romanced.

I woke up from a weird dream and started thinking depressing thoughts about Solas and Lavellan. I was thinking about what the most tragic ending would look like. I don't think it would be one in which we have to kill Solas, I think it would be more like this:

 

Solas left Lavellan knowing that in order to achieve his goals, he would have to use all of his power, thus ending his life. He does not want her to fall too deeply for him because he does not want her to grieve at his death. As Solas was performing the final ritual to achieve his goal, he smiled thinking to himself that he will make a beautiful world for Lavellan and his people. He imagined her to be happy and at peace. Then at the last step of his ritual, Lavellan shows up with a determined expression on her face. She pushed a surprised Solas away and sacrificed her own life instead. Solas, in shock, held her in his arms not even noticing as the world changed around him -- the outcome that he has sought for years. T_T

 

I did get the feeling he was suicidal, when he talked with Flemythal. I think it is one of the reasons he broke up with Lavellan, he wants her to have a life.
