Just what I was about to ask, Zarro. 40 pages is too much for me to catch up on.

Oh god. What if when the creators/forgotten ones become released, they don't go after Solas. They go after Lavellan because they know that if they killed her, it would hurt Solas more than killing him.

How would that work with Inquisitors who weren't female elves/didn't romance Solas?
So what all did I miss? Any cool new theories, art, etc?
Wish I could help but I haven't been paying close enough attention. =/

Love this idea...and when Solas shows up to save her she's all badass and in control of the situation and just says "what took you so long eggface" and then THE SNOGGING COMMENCES.

I thought I liked her. Until I realized she was simultaneously quanopsychotic and hates people who disagree with her to the extent of getting lots of people killed before trying someone else's way.
Merrill doesn't hate people who disagree with her; despite how horribly Fenris and Anders treat her for almost a decade, she is still friendly towards them. There's no hatred there, not in the way that Anders endorses selling Fenris to Danarius (which Merrill disapproves of doing), or how Fenris advocates killing Anders (which Merrill doesn't endorse, either, since she thinks he should try to help set things right).
I think her disagreements with Hawke (in rivalry) make sense, however. As a Dalish elf, she has first-hand knowledge about the plight of the People, and an understanding of the history of the Elvhen. She studied the lore on the Eluvians, and extrapolated information from the shard. Hawke, in contrast, knows next to nothing about the Dalish, their culture, their beliefs, or about the Eluvians and their potential to help the Elvhen. Why should Merrill submit to Hawke's opposition? Because Hawke is human?
As for getting people killed, no one forced Marethari to set Audacity loose and become an abomination, and no one forces grown men and women of Clan Sabrae to try to kill Merrill and Hawke if they aren't coddled. I see no reason to blame Merrill for the actions of other people.
Frankly, I find Merrill and Solas appealing precisely because they are intelligent enough to come to their own conclusions about life, spirits, the world around them, and because they have a vested interest in helping other people, including the People.

So this is kind of interesting, someone on tumblr put up Solas responding to a Dalish inquisitor he didn't much like:
http://tehnazzy.tumb...olas-when-youre
He talks about being tired of fighting. So there's my heart broken again.
Ooh. This is very interesting. Poor Solas. It must be nice to finally be listened to in a friendship/romance playthrough. I also love the copious amounts of elven the Inquisitor was using.
But on a side note, wow. :[ I knew the male elf models were bad, I didn't realize they were that bad.

Oh, no, sweety. ![]()
But I like this bit very much, don't even know why:
I: If you're tired of losing, you might consider winning.
S: *bitter laugh* You're right. I've given that advice to others in the past. Apparently I needed to hear it myself.
Oh, Solas ![]()
I want to see young solas so bad!!!

Super interesting!
Why does the Inquisitor speaks in elvish though? It sounds so weird that Solas answers in 'english' in return.
And his elvish feels so brokennnnnn

Maybe they go after all inquisitors because they desire the power of the anchor...bit then you get a snogging option with Lavellan. YEA VERILY

Listening to all three versions definitely gives some insight. He knows better than to rely on friends, focus on goals and do nothing that doesn't further them, and he laughs when he's told to try winning if he's tired of losing (and has given that advice in the past).

LOL, romancing Cullen this time and I still can't leave Solas at Skyhold. The feels running around the Exalted Plain with Dorian, Solas and Cole are just ridiculous after Solas's side quest. Love my bald elf, why oh why Solas? I don't care if his romance ends in tragedy, he is one of the best Bioware characters ever.
Would this help you? In these trying times, this would help you in your transition to Cullen.
I have a weird way of grieving.

XD It's cool! I went back through around 15 pages so I think I caught myself up relatively well.
I do have a question for you guys though. I have my first chapter for my story pretty much done*just doing some editing...again*, and I was wondering how would you guys like to see Fen'Harel portrayed. I have seen a lot of him being dominate, cruel in some fics, etc. My story is going to have him be a bit softer....is that something that would be a thing that would attract people or turn them away?

Yeah, I just finished listening to the other options. The line: "Pick the fights you can win, remember your goals, and do nothing that does not further them", seems fairly relevant. It seems like the sort of thing he would tell himself frequently.

I wonder what it sounds like for one of the female voices to say those lines. The British male Inquisitor voice angrily speaking elvish is... well. *fans self*

He sounds so exhausted, and even though he's being pretty friendly (with someone he doesn't like no less) you can feel the weight behind everything he's saying. A few causes, he said. Just how many causes?
Also...did Bioware forget that Dalish elves are apparently supposed to know a limited vocabulary? The Dalish protagonist understands a lot of Elven they maybe shouldn't? Except when plot (coughconversationinFade) decides otherwise, that is.
Oooh, I have to do top of page Solas.

Well that isn't heartbreaking at all. It kinda puts a new perspective on his conflicts with his fellow gods.
I love the elven dialogue too. I would love to hear Solas and the Inquisitor speaking nothing but elven.

This would result in things being too different for a DLC, I think. There would need to be two different stories for how the Inquisitor ends up involved.
Could be something leaning more towards The Anchor? and not the romance aspect?
This works better but why is the romance aspect relevant if the the Anchor is the goal? Wouldn't they want it anyway?

I think consensus around here is that, personality wise, gentler Solas/Fen'Harel is best Solas/Fen'Harel.

Well for the American it is a bit strange since the voice is deeper, but it is a really chilling moment. Now with Miss Alix...I could never say she did not preform flawlessly...well besides that "What going on here?" line.

This world needs more 'softer Solas/Fen'Harel', so I would be attracted to it. I keep running into the worst things and it has gotten so bad that I'm almost ready to stay away from fics for good.

The fact that he expresses his sadness and bitterness so subtly is, what truly hits me in the feels. He always has to be "en garde",and never truly express his emotions apart from these stolen moments he gets with a romanced Lavellan.

Would it be alright if I sent you my first chapter once I think it is actually decent enough to be viewed by anyone else, lol? I personally like the softer Solas/Fen'Harel as well. I don't mind a few moments of dominance or want...but...yeah....
