That is located in the Bard song files, As she said. But I think unless It's hard-coded to something, it won't appear/be said. 

Not exactly: it is the entire dialog that happens in Skyhold, including what the bard sings

Interesting. I did a quick scan through, I see the same words used in other plot flag moments. [IE; With Blackwall.] But not in the same manner. 

 

Veeryy curious. I don't actually think it is a joke though. Jokes tend to be a lot more overt. That doesn't mean its proof of DLC or anything, but I really don't think they are trying to trick up modders with that line. It just means something we don't understand yet. Or never will, because the content doesn't exist.

 

That said, if Solas is appearing and disappearing...its not too surprising they might already have groundwork in the game to flag him back 'on'. That last part in particular, that looks like epilogue flags? 

 

Isn't his romance still flagged? You can't romance anyone after he breaks it off IIRC? I am so out of my depth here...

 

But I don't think it's a joke. Weekes is perfectly aware of how heartbreaking the romance is, and there's a difference between light-hearted teasing and deliberately getting people's hopes up. The latter is a bit cruel :-|

He didn't do the programing though, just a writer, so it's not necessarily Weekes idea.

It may not have much to do with the romance. The first line is re-enable Solas, which sounds like a flag to actually make him appear ingame or in the party select screen. [This could also be for the scene where Solas returns to the party after the mission with the spirit.]

This tool lets you browse the entire dialog text in game. It sees the text as Bioware saved it: by sections. What I posted before was Skyhold dialog, this seems to be Adamant's scene on the fade. Both files have that Solas thing at the end

It's not a joke guys, I can almost 100% promise that. xD Modders have been finding a ton of tiny things. It's probably just something that got cut or never implemented, or it's probably so out of context it'd be something super simple.

The way it's worded in a "meta" way ("re-enable" Solas) makes me think that it's some sort of leftover from a debug feature, but you never know.

I doubt they'll respond to datamined dialogue, unfortunately. If they even understand themselves. They are the writers, not the people who actually put it into the game. It probably looks like similar jibberish.

The story line could have changed.  Maybe something happened like in his Faded quest where he leaves briefly.

It depends what the Celene/Gaspard/Briala stuff is controlling. It might not be anything. Or, as Andir said, it could be a debug option or an easy way to flag Solas back on in a post-game state. 

 

Or, they just have the re-enable option because at the end of the game, the switch turns off to make Solas disappear.

This is of topic slightly but I just saw a pic on tumblr which why didn't I get on tumblr years ago because it's everything. Anyway on tumblr it had a pic and it was like if Cullen and female inquisitor had a boy and Alistair and female Warden had a girl and they got together and omg it was adorable. Ugh.

Thats just the nature of cooking data, it results in duplicate data, but it also results in easier and faster loading, as all the data required is within a couple of archives, rather than spread out over thousands of files. Alot of the talktables contain very similar if not exact data. Especially the layouts ones

We only have the Dalish myths. But, the myths refer to him both as an elf and a wolf. Flemeth/Mythal is both a human and a dragon. So presumably, Solas can turn into a wolf if he wants just the same as any other shapeshift form. I don't think he actually was born a wolf though.

Just the fact that Fen'Harel is exclusively depicted as a wolf and never as an elf xD

True. I don't think it was meant to be a joke though...at least I hope not. If it was then there are some really twisted people in this world.

It was pretty much about the Templar recruitment quest and some people found files with Leliana's dialogue of tying to seduce the IQ. So someone tweeted them and DG posted a response on his Tumblr that it was cut due to the fact that it made some people uncomfortable. I think there was more stuff, but I can't really recall those pieces.

Well we see his elven form in the game so I think you're fine. Making him a wolf-only might be an art decision. I could ask Weekes on twitter if I could come up with how to phrase the question. He might not answer, though he did just answer about Fen'Harel vallaslin.
