I don't think Fen'Harel vallaslins would make sense. Isn't he like the elf devil?

I don't think they would just put the flag in there for an entire scene. [IE; like the balcony at the end of the game.] Not without more dialogue. 

 

I think there's a couple of options:

 

- It is for Solas's return after briefly leaving during the spirit quest

- It is for turning Solas off, not on. [Plot flags are usually just checkmarks. So end game, they disable Solas from the select screen.] 

- It is for cut or DLC content. Its possible they wanted to build the groundwork for putting Solas back in the game so they don't run into problems trying to renable him later.

They were slave markings originally, though. So it still wouldn't make sense to me for him to have them since he hates slavery. But if he had slaves and realized it was wrong later he might.

That's what it sounds like to me too. I could see Morrigan originally being there, since the essence of Flemythal's godhood apparently gets passed to her.

Well, he is now, but that's kinda really only because of his role during the Fall of Arlathan, isn't it? Especially now that we know that harrellin as traitor was not used before the Towers age - it seems to imply that his role in the mythology as well changed during his two thousand years (or so) of slumber. It would not be unheard of, given how prone to error oral retelling is.

So whether or not he had a vallaslin kinda depends on what he was before for fall. (I personally headcanon that he was the Patron God of the Arts because of his affinity and expertise in painting and his somewhat lyrical speech patterns).

But either way people would still worship the devil, so I think that at some point he would have had a Vallaslin, even if he doesn't use it anymore. He would have had servants at some point.

I'm glad that even with the game out and most of us finished with our first playtrhoughs new and interesting things come up to make the pages explode from time to time.

About elven language and Dalish: I went back to check The Stolen Throne and there the hunters are shouting at each other in elven when they capture Loghain and Maric, and the First tells Loghain that most of them speak "the King's tongue" but only use it when they go to settlements to trade. He says that in camp they try to use the old language in order to keep it alive.

So the lore basis is backwards from what we're seeing in the games, which no doubt is for understandability and ease of VO. And because otherwise Mary Kirby would do nothing but sit and write elven dialogue.

You and I both they weren't very organized. Dev notes are spread all over and there are almost 2 million files

Frankly, I'm not sure Fen'Harel would have Arlathan vallaslin. It doesn't seem to fit his personality, whether it's the trickester that may have been his youthful persona (since Felassan also references the trickester stories), or his more current personality that espouses free will over servitude and blind obedience.

She definitely says mother, not sure about "what have you done" but I think not
Her originally being there is a good guess I'd say... Or idk, can you see through an Eluvian without actually going through?
Maybe she was at the other side receiving the OGB soul?
Because I still don't get how putting it into an Eluvian will make sure Morrigan get's it, unless it's her Eluvian but I don't think so...

I remember how shortly before the game came out I felt a little sad that everyone who had gathered here on the forums would disappear. First to play the game, and then because now that the game was here, pfft, nothing to talk about. Ahahahaha.

 

It'll happen eventually, as these things do, but it's nice we can theorycraft and look forward to DLC and so on.
