Frankly, I'm not sure Fen'Harel would have Arlathan vallaslin. It doesn't seem to fit his personality, whether it's the trickester that may have been his youthful persona (since Felassan also references the trickester stories), or his more current personality that espouses free will over servitude and blind obedience.
This is why the idea of there being Solas/Fen'Harel vallaslin makes me uncomfortable. It would hurt him to see it.

I remember how shortly before the game came out I felt a little sad that everyone who had gathered here on the forums would disappear. First to play the game, and then because now that the game was here, pfft, nothing to talk about. Ahahahaha.
It'll happen eventually, as these things do, but it's nice we can theorycraft and look forward to DLC and so on.

We have to remember from a character standpoint now that unlike the other gods he is no longer static - he has had a past with his own character development before.
Now? Yeah, you're right, it would hurt him terribly. Back when he was a god among his peers, and they were living in relative peace before the Fall? Who knows?

That also doesn't mean that the Dalish didn't lose Fen'Harel's vallaslin over the years. No Dalish is going to want to mark himself with the mark of the Great Betrayer, so it could have been lost within several generations after the Towers Age.

He could have had one at one point and then decided it was wrong to mark followers like that with the implication of them being slaves. He might have started out being a dickish kind of god and gradually got better. I think the Dalish would have kept his, too, if it was still in use. That's what it sounds like to me. The Elven can translate as: "Farewell, (my) heart. Ara--" ('ara' by itself seems to mean "desire"...this could be a compound word or something altogether different, who knows?)

I don't have enough tinfoil for this. So, those lines seem to mean:
1. Farewell, my heart- [word broken off]
2. [Curse], help, help!
Possibilities: it means nothing.
Tinfoil hat to the max: flashback? Speaker 1 could be either Mythal or her betrayer, and speaker 2 could either be Mythal or someone like Abelas discovering her?
