Has anyone ever translated what Solas said to Sera in elvish.
Because I can only recognize two words
Elgar'arla, which is a spirit trap
and Venahn, which is my love/heart.

That's a negative. That symbol is used in Vallamar as a dwarven rune/design/whatever. Unless the dwarves swiped it from the elves, which would be both weird and interesting. It must mean something, otherwise they wouldn't use it.
Seen here. Also, ignore the graphical errors. Using a modified patch file results in weirdness when in a dungeon area.
I want to know about ancient elven and dwarven relations! Solas does seem quite fond of what the dawrves were. He kept going on about it when talking to Varric and expressed sadness over the current state of dwarves. Now I'm even more curious. Maybe he was friends with some dwarves and they placed that at his statue as some kind of memorial or something.
My nightmares will be sufficiently fueled tonight, thanks.
Hey, he can't be allways nice and fuzzy, can he? You don't get named Dread Wolf for nothing ![]()

That's why if he does have a wolf form, I want it to be badass. Cute fluffy white wolves are nice but I think he should have an awesome, god-worthy shapeshifting form if he has one at all.
Though....maybe not quite as terrifying as that picture. ![]()
This is an old song and one of my favorites, but I feel like it fits Solavellan:
I'd give anything to have a scene after the final battle where Lavellan goes to sleep and dreams of him :/ Curse these feelings.
Off topic: To everyone who was in the DA Cards Against Humanity game: Sorry I vanished. My ex-boyfriend stalker showed up. :/

Don't forget Kadash Thaig, or whatever ruined Thaig Shale came from (sorry, rattled, can't remember). The elves and dwarves lived there together after the Fall. It is very easy to assume they borrowed something from the elves during that time.

I'd like it if he had two forms. The multi-eyed black wolf and the pretty white wolf. He could be like Kilala from Inuyasha.

Solas to Sera: Ar Duthenas Elgar'arla masula eva venahn.

I sincerely apologize for what you are going to see if you click show spoiler. It's SFW but not safe for feels.
Spoiler
I'm so sorry.
Well, feels aside, at least we now know that Solas is NOT immortal... unless... ITS A TRICK!!!
Honestly, my preferred Darcy.
And this conversation might actually happen. I mean change some stuff, ofc. But her being ticked at him and rejecting him trying to make up or something... yeah. I can see that. lol

A new Cards Against Thedas game is starting if anyone is interested!

I'm still waiting for someone to draw Solas as Bigby. He'd look pretty handsome in Bigby's clothes! And Bigby is always doing those cool poses too.

I got this idea earlier, not sure if I can manage. Maybe later...
IF Solas could become a Wolf... Somehow I don't think he would use that power like that...
I would sure as hell hope he would not do that!
There was this one story though that...did have him turn into a wolf...for that very reason....I think some people here remember that story.

It has been translated somewhere on reddit, if I remember correctly. No idea, where exactly
Now I kind of understand how the Wardens who romanced Morrigan must have felt while waiting for a DLC. This is worse though.
Well, except theres no OGB...unless...
I think Solas thinks there is something different from Sera. He said "you are different. you are the furthest from where you were meant to be"
But solas also keeps asking her what she sees when she sees the sky. And sera says that she feels like she's seen it all before. And it scares her.
Or maybe she was Solas's ex-lover >_> *gets shotgun*

It's alright, no problem.
On the subject of vallaslin: I used to wonder if Fenris' markings might be lost Fen'Harel vallaslin. It would have also given additional meaning to why Danarius chose to call him "Fenris" in the first place. Which would be really interesting in hindsight, but now that we know more about Fen'Harel, I have a hard time seeing him with his own slaves and vallaslin. But who knows what might have existed at some point.
I laughed so hard. ![]()
Ooh, I rivaled her in DA2 (I know, I'm a monster) so I didn't actually know she could cure it, haha.
I guess the blight and the calling are two separate things, right? They do specifically say the warden is going to cure the calling, not the blight itself, I think. So basically to stop the 'song' not the infection. But doesn't the grey warden ritual just delay the deadly effect of the taint, not cure it completely? So why cure just the calling if the taint'll kill you in a few years anyway? And doesn't the song come from the old gods/archdemons? Maybe the Warden's just gonna go kill all the old gods herself, like Clarel. Solas disapproves.
I don't think it's a matter of stopping the song, as much as neutralizing the infection. The "Calling" itself is what happens when the taint progression in a Warden's body reaches a critical point and they start to become a ghoul. The Joining never really stops the disease, it just stalls it long enough for the Wardens to be effective, instead of just quickly succumbing to the blight. The taint is what causes them to be able to hear the Calling (the blight is somehow connected to the Old Gods, who are the ones singing the Calling) when it becomes greatly concentrated in a Warden's body. Usually, the Wardens choose to kill themselves at that point, but the HoF is looking for a way to stop this from being necessary, whether that's a way of completely controlling the infection, or curing it.
I suspect the answer is in dragon's blood, or maybe more likely, Old God blood. If you do the Dragonology(?) War Table missions, and bring in a team of biologists to dissect and examine all the carcasses of dragons Quizzy has killed, they'll discover that some dragons actually have blight infections, but their bodies form cysts around the infections, allowing them to live healthy lives. Only in extreme situations like Corypheus' dragon, which was likely unnaturally exposed to massive blight infection due to Corypheus himself, does a dragon become a ghoul. So, in short, dragons have a natural resistance to the blight.
The only known case of a Grey Warden being cured of the taint was Fiona. I suspect that her pregnancy with Alistair (who has dragon blood) may have played a part in her accidental cure. If dragon's blood has resistance, and if Archdemon's blood is used in the Joining to help slow the taint progression, maybe the blood of an untainted Old God would be the magic bullet to completely control taint progression. Grey Wardens are still Grey Wardens, but no more Calling.
Isn't there supposed to be a sleeping Old God somewhere in the Western Approach?
So this is kind of interesting, someone on tumblr put up Solas responding to a Dalish inquisitor he didn't much like:
http://tehnazzy.tumb...olas-when-youre
He talks about being tired of fighting. So there's my heart broken again.
Solas needs hugs.
And I love all that elvish dialogue... I now have a headcanon that Lavellan lapses into elvish a lot when angry or upset. But I'd have a hard time getting to hear any of this in my playthroughs.
I have no idea tbh. Everything else Alix ever voiced was extremely well done in my opinion. I love the way she sounds whenever it comes to sarcastic lines or even flirty/seductive lines. The American voice is great for aggressive lines, but I typically have kind, sarcastic, or stoic characters. So her voice isn't really my cup of tea.
My canon lady Lavellan uses the American voice, and she's a very kind and soft spoken sort. It works for me, she usually sounds very mellow.
Anyone else get the bug where your FemLav's voice changes to a male when you ask Solas to dance?
That was pretty interesting.
I really liked this bug. ![]()
It's also interesting that male audio for that flirt exists at all, since my male Lavellan has no options for flirting with Solas at all. He can flirt with Cullen, but Solas is forever aloof. Hmm.
Apparently we can have solas back after a breakup ?
I want to believe.
I'm glad to see this thread is still going strong. I'm on my 5th playthrough of DAI, though I had to force myself to romance other people.
Rest assured, I'm still sitting here with my boundless optimism as a proud member of the Optimism Team.

Yesh, I just made that word up. Unless someone else already made it up.
