Absolutely adorable. And kinda true... let's hope the "forever" part isn't...
Eh, Aveline filled the Wynne part of DAO for me. Judgement and "right" to the point of stupidity. I blame her for starting the Qunari attacking.
If I remember right, wasn't there something to do with elves being in trouble/abused and Aveline did nothing?
So, uh, what would happen if Solas had a baby with a regular elven woman? Would he start a new master race of Elvhen?!?!
I keep thinking he and Abelas need to FEEL more responsible in that regard, right? I didn't see any ancient female Sentinels at the Temple of Mythal. (but, maybe that was why. Devs are perhaps saying, "Nope. No new Ancient Elvhen babies coming.)
Look closely when the camera pans over them in that scene. I think some of them were women, other than the guide. Their armor was so similar that it was hard to tell, but their bodies were very slightly different.
I'm pretty sure he's studying her boobs and not her anchor here lolz.
In that pic? Yeah. He's probably amazed that they don't seem to be affected by gravity while she's lying on her back...
It might depend on the Clan, they all know bits and pieces of Elven lore maybe Clan Lavellan has a better grasp on the language? Or as a First you know more of the Clan's knowledge than everyone else?
It would seem that Solas has been doing his Fadewalking (and possibly traveling through the Crossroads) for a very long time. Given the cruel streak that the rest of the pantheon seems to have Fen'Harrel doesn't really seem to fit in, since we haven't really seen any lore that shows him doing anything outwardly evil. From the sound of that dialogue, he's been used to being called a fool and a madman (trickster also fits) for a long time.
As for causes, it very well could be that he was Shartan. The complete Saga of Tyrdda Bright-Axe talks about her "leaf-eared lover" who she "lays with at night, only to disappear in the morning" which given his familiarity with the Fade could be Solas. Although, given that the saga mentions that Tyrdda's bloodline will one day give rise to a child named Morrighan'an and references to "whispers" Tyrdda was most likely the first to host the spark of Mythal that Flemeth (and now possibly Solas) now holds.
The Leaf-Eared Lover was a woman. If an elven god, then... Sylaise? Andruil? Ghilan'ain? Mythal? Hard to say.
anyone remembers that second to last line ?
0003A635: One day, someone will summarize the terrible events of your life so quickly.
0003A636:
0003A637: It says, long ago, you left your husband for a lover. Your husband then tricked you, killed your lover, and imprisoned you.
0003A638: I know who Flemeth is.
0003A639: Then a spirit came to offer you vengeance. Mythal—that's what you spoke of.
0003A63A: I know the name "Flemeth." It belongs to an ancient Fereldan legend.
0003A63B: But, yes, I was that woman. That is how my tale began.
0003A63C: I know the name "Flemeth." My people call you Asha'bellanar, the woman of many years, and speak of your legend.
0003ABB1: (Screams.)
0003ABB2: Dareth shiral vhenan! Ara— (Gasps.)
0003ABB3:
0003ABB4: Fenedhis! Ma halani! Ma halani!
0003C7C7:
Dareth shiral vhenan! Ara— (Gasps.)
right after a scream...
He shouts "Fenedhis!" really anguished-sounding, sometimes, if the Inquisitor falls in battle. I think the whole line is said then.
However, I haven't heard the "Dareth shiral vhenan! Ara--" line.
I get the feeling that Solas is so critical of others because of what he's done in the name of helping his people. He's got Walter Bishop-level guilt. He sealed away a cruel pantheon of gods away only to have his civilization collapse, and then his mistake with the Orb nearly destroyed our world and the Fade.
One thing I've been thinking on is how Patrick Weekes mentioned that Solas is "dedicated to finding the truth". He has a statue (or the Dread Wolf does) inside of the Temple of Mythal, which considering that she's the goddess of justice isn't the kind of place where one would expect to find a representation of a trickster god and Flemythal calls him "old friend". What if Fen'Harrel acted as a kind of soothsayer or for irony's sake, a Seeker of Truth for Mythal?
Truth and Justice are related concepts, and what better way to figure out what's in someone's head than by being able to traipse around the realm of thoughts and dreams? Dread Wolf would be a pretty fitting title for someone who hunts down those who lie to Mythal.
Could also be why he's very respectful of Cassandra, if he once held a similar position...
Almost makes me wonder if he were Mythal's spymaster, though.
