i don't see it as a competition. I'm just happy that every 200 pages we gain in such a short time means we've gained that many more Solas fans. He's a great character. I like seeing new faces in here

No. Cullen has had fans since DA:O came out. Hell, even I was excited they announced that he was going to be in this game AND a romance option in this game.

ugh so vacation is over and it's going to be so hard to get back to real life tomorrow at work...I've had two solid weeks of pretty much 24-7 Dragon Age. More than anything I wish I could shake off these Solas-blues but sigh, probably won't be able to do that until I get some sort of real news about forthcoming Solas content. Probs should start dating again, 'cause man, this would be easier if I wasn't alone, but it's real tough with my job. AH WELL AT LEAST I AM NOT ALONE IN MY SUFFERING RIGHT GUYS?

I was just wondering. If we can get close to Cullen thread numbers the chances are greater that they would work harder on the Solas story.
He's a major plot character, I don't think we have to worry about that.

So I have a question for everyone about Solas' appearance.
Were you physically attracted to him when you first saw him (in-game or pre-game) or did you gradually warmed up to his looks?
Before starting the game, the only romanceable character I found attractive was Cullen. Solas wasn't even on the radar really - but neither were any of the other options to be honest. Thus, my first playthrough was as a human female for the Commander because I was wary of the height weirdness that DAO was notorious for. Cullen's romance ended up being endearingly awkward, cozy sweet, and had the sort of fairy tale ending that I usually just plain eat up.
But something happened along the way. I don't know when. Don't know how. Suddenly: Solas.
By the end of the game I was checking on him more than I checked on Cullen. I took him everywhere, When he ran out of stories to tell in his paint room, I checked on him anyway, even though I didn't actually need to know more about Coryphelus. And then he was gone...
When she got back to Skyhold, I'm sure my Trevelyan was looking for Cullen in the throne room crowd. But I was looking for Solas, because he had somehow become the most attractive man in the entire game.
So much for the happy ending.

Is cullen thread bigger than Sera thread? you're gaining, but have to gain faster to catch Sera's, almost to 2k pages.

Its worth reading! One of the better dragon age books, although they've all been pretty solid in comparison to mass effect's tie in books. Written by Solas's writer, so there's that too.
Edit: There's also some other characters in the book who are in the game. Ishmael, for instance.

Most of the elvhen lore is online. The stories about Fen'Harel are all up on the wiki verbatim, and the rest is scattered about here and there. If you've played all the DA games there isn't a whole lot of new elvhen stuff.
But it's pretty interesting if you're interested in the current state of the elves. It does a much better job of showing how oppressed they are than the games do. I really felt bad for the city elves in particular.

I in the other hand found him for the first time probably the most attractive of them all but let's just say that I was not really attracted to any of them at first. If I have to pick one then it was him only for the appearance. I romanced Iron Bull first then I tried Cullen but the only one I stuck with was Solas and I actually learned to love his character. His personality made him special and in the end when I found out about his little secret the whole story was a lot more cooler because everything he had said in the game before just suddenly made sense. He will be my dragon age Thane which means that I will not change him for any other romance options and I know it already haha I love him.

Then I did the Western Approach (so I could get that post-breakup banter from Cole) and then it came time for me to judge this guy:
I present to you Crassius Servis, the smokin' smuggler Tevinter mage. I was still sore from the Solas breakup and I was like "oh Sooolas, looks like the Inquisition has a new agent, I've chosen to send him INTO MY PANTS"

Awwwww.....its more of a love story than some people ever get, a deep emotional experience that many in Thedas will never feel...I know its cliche, but..be happy for having loved that deeply....even if they lost it..
and maybe it will have a happy ending....maybe...
its a great story either way..
