Well because Bull is a non-gated we pretty much are freaking out.. Solas is the "open minded" so why would he be race-gated? 

 

But I'd rather have a race gated Solas romance than a no Solas romance.

I think we'll have to wait a bit longer for Solas, since I think the panel might've ended? (last years was like 45 mins long I think) So don't go and be all depressed yet guys, I'm honestly a bit surprised about the Iron Bull reaction, we've all speculated lots of times and practically assumed that he was the bi male interest, and then focused on the 2 spots that are left. That's exactly what's happening now so don't go and have emotional breakdowns, it's breaking my heart to see you all like this

I'm happy about Cullen. I really am.

BUT, I really have a huge soft spot for mages, and a HUGE soft (hot) spot for elves. Having an elf mage is a dream come true for me.

I'm thinking what all of you are saying. I just tweeted at Patrick to just please tell us. It's like taking off a band-aid. Do it quick! At least let us know so we can get the moping out of the way and deal with the disappointment way before the game releases. What does IB being bi do for the chances of Solas being bi? Between him and Blackwall, right? Ah the dreaded "soon..." Answer from Mark Darrah (I think) regarding Blackwall has me thinking he will be the other.

Quick! Someone lend me some optimism! I have my Cullen but I really would like Solas for other playthroughs! Sad panda.

wel...who is racist to Elves? Humans and...?

 

Dwarfs don't really care, and so Qunari, that are more than ok to have than in their ranks.

I don't think it's between him and Blackwall, I'm pretty sure it's going to be Varric.

 

But I am glad you asked.  I hope he answers one way or another, because the longer they wait to tell us, the harder it's going to be to hear when we finally do know.

Yeah I guess I would. I would be majorly disappointed, though. I was hoping my ideal LI wouldn't have the race-gating, especially after his open-minded description. If he wants people not to see him as just an elf, why would he pay so much attention to race? It would seem kind of hypocritical.

 

As for if he isn't a LI, not going to lie I will be pretty upset and might avoid the forums for a couple of days. But I'll be back and still celebrate our elf! Though to be honest,  my interest will wane a bit but only because I expect we won't get too much more info about him until the game comes out.

I would have no idea, but that hasn't been confirmed yet, and there are still 4 more romances who are already confirmed but could be race gated for any sort of story reasons that we don't know about yet. Just trying to be hopeful here, the battle isn't over yet.

Well the Quanri aren't very accepting to mages, and Solas is well known for "It's more complicated than that!"

 

If I repeat if he is a romance I suspect he wouldn't be available to Qunari.

Someone in the romance thread evidently asked Gaider about the remaining romances, and he had said they were gated, or that's the impression that poster got.

 

And there's still hope--If anyone read my previous post, well...

 

Dwarves and qunari do not dream.  What if Solas is gated against people who can't dream?  It is a story reason that makes sense.  Maybe he's got a thing for wandering around in people's dreams.

Was about to mention this.     But I'm having trouble getting around the fact that all Inquisitors are linked to the Fade with their glowy hand...  Maybe there's still some distinction that's important somehow?
