haha   Have you seen Sera's character kit?  After reading her description there I'd say it could easily be either elf

Strap together years of capricious whims and brash decisions, and you have Sera.  Her motley of well-loved and oft-repaired odds and ends is far from tatters and rags.  She wears what she likes for as long as she likes it, and should she like something else, she'll steal it.

 

What little practicality her outfit has is the result more of annoyance than of planning.  When hair got in her eyes, she hacked it off with a knife, and when arrows stung her fingers, she found a glove.

 

Sera's only concern is having fun, and should something get in the way of that pursuit, she's quick to put an arrow in it.

Ah! I did! Our companion elves are slowly becoming team please-clothe-and-feed-the-elves in my mind.

And I practically yelled cause I had (thankfully) not put in an order for a buncha cosplay components for her yet. I was about to order green plaid pants (since I couldn't for the life of me find a similar pattern in green when I was doing fabric store runs before) but now I see it's brown. PHEW! And I almost ordered a black archery glove instead of brown and /rambles

But still... we should dress and feed the elves.

Well, outside of our little thread, the majority of people seem to think (or don't want at all) him as a romance option, so maybe it's the opposite..?  Grasping at positive straws over here!

That wouldn't make any sense. No one wants a Cole romance, and Sera is a romance... Unless I'm missing something? I don't think that's an indication of anything personally.

it might be the opposite, poor solas was thrown around like a hot potato for a while, I just hope he isn't another Sand from Neverwinter Nights 2, loveable but untouchable. Hopefully they are messing around, but only time will tellXD

 

Also Kisari, it could be believe it or not, some people wanted cole as romanceable but as i stated before, one of the devs said he isn't a romance cause of his mentality. I'm thinking positively, but again time will tell.

this is why i'm waiting until Solas' actual reveal to start buying material (c'mon, needs to be soon... SDCC is too close...) and just working on patterns which i hope to the Maker are correct and don't need too much tinkering. from the current pics (in bad lighting) i'm thinking various greens and browns.... but....

I meant as in a majority. I've only seen about 3-4 people wanting and defending it personally, although I wasn't around back when Asunder was first released.

More on topic: I don't think anyone needs to worry just from that! I mean, curb expectations! But even if he isn't a romance I think Solas is one of the more interesting companions, and now I'm not sure if I want him or Cass in my party.

I'd assume crushed expectations regarding Solas would be that he's not an LI, but I guess there's also the slight chance it means the people who are grossed out by him will be disappointed when he's an option (though not likely in my mind ).

Smart move (at least for accuracy's sake), but I don't envy you. You'll still have to battle different lighting color variations on top of a tight deadline. I didn't realize Seras dress was so pink and here I bought a dark red fabric I can't return. (Though I wonder if there's someway I could lighten it... ... ... oh well, I probably shouldn't tinker with it too much.) If only I had all the money in the world to throw at this!

And yeah, I didn't think about it till SOME OF YA'LL brought it up.

I know i shouldn't laugh at that metaphor but the image of a fat lady (in like one of those viking opera outfits) singing that solas is either romanceable or not really brings an entertaining image to my mind. I need to draw this now...

I've already been expecting that he wouldn't be a LI, so...  Disappointing, but oh well.  But after these interesting tweets, I think Cass is winning out over Dorian again for third party slot.

I wouldn't really consider there enough people wanting to romance Cole for it to be a Crushed Expectation is all, the vast majority are very very very against it. Unless there are parts of the internet that I don't go to that are vocal?
Although, thank you about Sera I totally forgot about that with other whirlwind of companion drama that has blown through since then.

I wish they'd just come out announce the LIs already, cause once they do it'll all just be happy fan art and then once the initial backlash wears off everyone can be happy and plan Inquisiter's together and be happy... and and..

Yes sorry, my bad, I should have specified what I meant. I did mean "the vast majority" not "no one". I'm aware there are people, although most I've seen, once told of Gaider's official statement have apologized and rescinded their wish to romance him.

Anyways I wouldn't be too worried. Until an official statement is released, don't give up hope!

If solas isn't a romance, my party will probably be cass, iron bull, and varric, followed by iron bull, vivienne, and serah/solasXD if solas is it'll be solas, cass, varric/cole

This. Nothing is ever certain until it's confirmed. Like I said before I cannot see them blocking the only male elf. Don't lose hope Solas fans! Know that there is also not really any information pointing towards him being non-romanceable.

I honestly doubt the "crushed expectations" thing had anything to do with romance. I imagine it's something to do with the characters themselves.
