I'm more of a "go after people who are racist/sexist/homophobic" type than being mad that people like things I don't. Heck, I've been struggling with my own desire to romance Solas knowing that it would come at the expense of those who want Blackwall and Varric. I would never hold any of the decisions BW made against the fans.
I might gripe at BW if Blackwall is the third LI for straight women, though, because getting all three male warriors out of 12 possible LIs is patently ridiculous.

I am pretty sure Solas will be LI ... i decided to believe it and now i have to wait ... just look at the facts ... there is still bianca in Varric, it cant go away just after few years (he had it whole DA2 - so many year- in him .. why would he give up now) if he wanted he would long time ago ... Blackwall is just a dad type by look and they wouldnt want to give us another huge character LI i believe ... and why would they hire VA for Solas who does bisex/gay characters in movies and such? ... i just believe he is bisexual

I actually like this a lot, despite...everything. It makes his character consistent with Patrick's vision for him and as much as I'm getting weary of hedonistic bi/pan LIs, the representation is appreciated.

It does make it feel a bit less diverse in options... More and more though I'm considering the idea that my female Inquisitor (elven rogue) is going to find more in common with Sera than just personality & skills. And together they will turn Thedas upside down.

Thing is, I actually like Anders. I thought he was an interesting character and never developed even close to the amount of hate others have for him.
HOWEVER
one Anders-type companion character is enough. If Solas really DOES turn out to be a Judas type, you'd better believe I'll be pissed.

I can understand the reservations based on the trope. Although it's also an avenue to explore The Iron Bull's heritage I think. Though I'll not distract this particular thread any longer.
(I will say that I hope that people not do anything *unhealthy* hoping for information on Mr. Solas! I like enthusiasm, but make sure you're all still eating, going to the bathroom, sleeping, etc. etc. )
