There's also Flemeth's line about 'When your time comes, do not hesitate to leap," and her talk of standing before the Abyss.
You know.
Here Lies the Abyss.

Though the sheer glory that is Loghain staying behind in the Fade to fight the Nightmare of the Blights in order to redeem the Orlesian Wardens is hard to deny...
I honestly thought the world state I had uploaded for my Cullen playthrough was one with Loghain, but it wound up being Stroud. By the time I realized it was the wrong world state, I didn't want to start over, so I'll get to Loghain eventually.
The worst part is that I think Solas is aware of that to some degree. He mentions it in the bad Redcliffe future, and his conversations with Cole about himself when he was young point toward a lot of mistakes. He's well aware of how much he's f***ed up, I think he just feels compelled to try. He has a darker, more twisted version of Harry Potter's hero complex; he seems to think that because he's the one who got the world into such a state, he has to be the one to fix it and damn the consequences.
Sometimes I just want to shake Solas until the teeth rattle in his stupid egg head
He definitely seems to have the "I messed it up, so only I can fix it" mindset. And, yeah, he knows that he has made mistakes and seems to feel terrible about it. It's like he can't really see beyond righting his past wrongs, though...potentially leading to more mistakes.
