Like, am I the only one who is totally on board the crazy train that heads to releasing all the gods? I cannot wait to interact with them in future games...we have at least two more coming to us right?  I would love a chance to meet, fight, interact, defeat WHATEVER with all the old gods. It's just a situation that has so much potential to make really entertaining game experiences in the future. How badly do all of us want to see the real Andruil or Falon'Din or Dirthamen or even....JUUUUUUNE?  I mean, I know I do. I totally want to go there. And I think Bioware wouldn't want to waste the potential of having all these awesome characters show up in future gameplay by smushing them into already existing characters. I mean, I hope they wouldn't...but then again, I hope they won't leave my heart yearning for Solasclosure either. TEAM OPTIMISM GOOOOO!

 
Okay here's my pitch for Dragon Age 4.
 
You are a man/lady/dragon/whatever with a ridiculously customizable face and for some reason no first name.
 
You are minding your own business when something goes Horribly Wrong with explosions or darkspawn or possibly both. The gods have been released upon the world!
 
And this is when you find out that you're not just a simple barmaid/courtier/highwayman/nug farmer. No, you're the reincarnation of an ancient elven god, passed down through the ages and finally free to do your godly thing!
 
You are JUNE, and you must embark on an epic quest to find the MURDERKNIFE!
 
Assemble a team of quirky misfits and accumulate enough influence to reach the ancient artifact of ultimate stabby power, before your rival gods use it to take over Thedas!

It was a hard choice to make.  But in the end I decided to leave Solas at home rather than bring him to the Temple of Mythal ( ).  Trev'Quisitor needed her fabulous mages with her instead for fashion advice and so on.  Viv snarking at Morrigan is making it soooo worth it.  I went screenshot crazy.  I'll spoiler them for size.

 

This first exchange was over Morrigan being wrong.  (Look how fashionable and fabulous we all look)

I had said to Morrigan that I had a hard time picturing her doing a curtsy at the Orlesian Court.  This is the exchange between her and Viv.  (Viv isn't pictured, but the first line is her.)

In terms of literal romance encounters, sure lol. Not everything the characters do is within earshot/eyeshot of the PC. Iron Bull and Dorian, for one. Totally hook up, but all you hear is the flirting.

 

You don't actually see Solas paint, but he does.

Leliana gets reports from agents and does things, but all you ever see her do is sit in the chair.

What struck me about the final romance scene is him saying that he wants to prove his feelings, and Lavellan's like: "That isn't necessary, Solas. You're my..."

 

She can't answer. I don't think they ever affirmed what they were, only that they loved each other.

I seem to end up with my Inquisitor and their LI in matching outfits.

However, right now I have accidentally created the most ramshackle looking group. I put Solas in heavy armour, which somehow puts him in less layers so he is looking more hobo than ever. Dorian is in flaming orange. Cassandra is in a Templar outfit, and lastly my inquisitor is walking around in his bare feet.

NOBODY EXPECTS THE MISMATCH INQUISITION!

Speaking of customisation. What route did you all take with Skyhold? Did you Dalish it all out for your Lavellans? I didn't really do much with in my Female Lavellan run because it was a quick one. But this time round, because I (and therefore my Male Lavellan because he's a bit of a self insert) think I'm hilarious, I decided to take a particular route to impress Mother Giselle after her whole 'This man is from Tevinter, his presence at your side...' lecture of concern about Dorian.

The whole place looks terrifying   But I am greatly amused at the idea of Giselle walking in the door to find... this. Then walking down to the throne where Tristan will be sat, trying to keep a straight face as he assures her than Dorian is having absolutely no influence over him, whatsoever and he totally cannot see where there might be an issue.

 

Bwahahaha.

I may have lost my marbles a bit after spending so many hours sidequesting and farming

My FPS is bad enough in Skyhold that putting up decorations completely tanks it, so I leave almost everything on the basic options. I'd love to have the Tevinter decorations though. XD

The thing with this romance is that I can't even decide which kiss is my favorite. All of them were passionate, but in different ways. In the first one he had a playful smile. It was more of a "I really like this girl" kiss. In the second one, it was more of a "I can't leave her. I must have her" kiss. The third one is kind of like "I feel really comfortable with her. I also like her butt" and then a sudden realization that he cannot be with her. Ahhh.

Hmmm... I've been stalking this thread for the last few days while doing my Solas run and trying not to think too hard about the eventual heartbreak. Well, I got there last night, and now the feels are killing me and I just need to talk to someone. I'm not sure how much I can contribute, but I just wanted to say how much I love hearing everyone's theories and the fanfics and the fanarts...

It's so hard to choose. I think the second kiss is my favorite. Lavellan approaches him, gets in his personal space seeking a kiss, but she is waiting for him. And when he does kiss her, the first one is devouring, then you can see him break away for a split second and the way his body just rocks a bit as if off kilter, and he holds her close and continues that kiss...just...oh god. And unfortunately, some of that is due in part to the lack of budget/time/zots delegated to Solas' romance. His was the very last put in, and only because they had that extra year to work on the game. It probably would have taken too much time/money to pay all the companion voice actors to voice appropriate lines for Solas/Lavellan romance.

 

Cullen was a late romance too, but he already has several scenes where they could easily input some flirt/romance dialogue. He doesn't get commented about much either. I think there are only a couple banters where companions acknowledge it.

It reminds me of that "kiss the girl" scene from the little mermaid. I know they actually kissed in the scene, but when I see this I'm just like KISS THE GIRL! KISS HER ARHGKLSHFLSDK!

Imagine if this happens in every Solas kiss scene. *Solas leans in close with affection and desire in his eyes. Suddenly he pulls back and says "We shouldn't do this." He proceeds to walk away. Scene ends.* I think we would be throwing cakes into Bioware's office.

All BioWare romances relied on you filling in the blanks with your imagination but it's always pretty hilarious to take them at face value! You and Solas barely had any contact based on purely the scenes we got. 

 

Especially if DAI really was over three years. What a relationship!
