So my guess is: Templars = "blood that is not blood" line, Mages = "you reach across" line.

These are the three options I know of. This is how they track, right?
Elf: Pulled, blood that is not blood, a tiny trace of time. Lips struggling to shape language your parents lived.Human: You reach across, mindful, meaning. You pull it through to this side, make it real here.Dwarf: The stone, still there, silent and reaching up for the blood that walks. No dreams with the cord cut. You sell it.Is that right? Also, is there a Qunari version?
dwarf one is interesting. no dreams means no magic, cord to what exactly? if the cord is cut, does it mean dwarves were able to weave spells once? what happened? damn you, Cole!
I keep hearing "Golden" and "mistakes" in there, but this could also be me going slowly crazy after listening to this for minutes.
I love it how Solas and the Inquisitor are the only ones not to fall down XD
I wonder how many times Solas has gone through eluvian.
Why the running and stumbling though? Do some eluvians skip the roads completely and just link up to the other?
I hate siding with the templars. I did it once and I found it very clunky. I do really enjoy the mage one more and I've done it so many times at this point I could do it with my eyes closed. But I do love Dorian so maybe that's why I prefer it.
Actually my love of Dorian is one reason I prefer the Templar way more. When he shows up at Haven it seems more natural for the Inquisitor to listen him (since you've already met him) than it does with Cole. So all of that flows better. Also knowing no matter what Felix dies helps some. Also the envy demon seems far more menicing to me than Alexius did.
Yup! Went Templar. It just feels right to be honest. I feel better knowing there aren't as many Red Templars in the world. And FREAKING FIONA... Ugh. *face palm* I just... I can't. That woman.
.
OMG OMG ANTICIPATION of 2000!!!!
P.S. What does Top of page Solas mean?
like an untold tradition of posting a picture of solas. usually a screenshot. when did it start? I have no idea, I just mimic everyone.

I can't make heads or tails of this honestly...
Cole why can't you just say what you mean?! D:
So does anyone know if this line is the same for ALL inquisitors, or is there a variation? The first and last lines seem like something that could apply anywhere, but the middle one seems more appropriate for elves, dwarves, and maybe Qunari than it does for humans. Especially the language part. Humans never lost their language. Or are we talking about the Song again?
I keep struggling with whether or not the Inquisitor is and has always been Special, or is a victim/benefactor of being in the right place at the right time. The mark makes Lavellan more but doesn't define them. The last line is - I think - talking about the burdens of the Inquisition but it's also a little weird because it isn't clear what "theirs" refers to. The subjects preceding that are "hopes" and "fears". Is he personifying those emotions. Is he talking about "the weight of all"? Are we supposed to infer "theirs" to be talking about the people we're serving by working with the Inquisition? Or are we talking about Theirs - capital T - in the same vein as the People? That is, something ancient and connected and above and beyond the mundane concerns of Thedas.
I need more information!
I'm afraid if I did someone would force me into therapy. I don't really cry when I see breakup scenes but I do immediately look at pictures of baby animals right after.
We would all be there with you ![]()
So guys I didn't realize we're gonna get to 2000 pages today so I didn't finish what I WANTED to show ya'll for the celebration. To top it off I'm at work, so I have no art supplies or digital painter program or anything (
). But..I scrounged up some office supplies and did a little doodle.
Then I scanned it backwards xD Here's a preview:
Real version to come hopefully on page 2000!

Yeah! Weren't folks on this thread discussing .. yesterday? or recently? About how the lyrium could be Titan Blood, so the cut cord would be the death of the titans and how the dwarves don't have access to the magic in their blood anymore because there's no hive mind. Maybe the dwarves were super powerful with a hive mind and could work the best/craziest magic. Crazier than the elves? I leave theorycrafting to the professionals in this thread, so I dunno!
I also just prefer playing through the Envy demon section. It's an awesome bit of storytelling, it gives you room to flesh-out your character more, and it's... just more fun for me personally. Totally get that it might not be everyone's slice of cake.
I like Fiona, and mages, hellfuture adventures with Dorian, and the way Cole shows up at Haven is pretty cool, so I'm good. I love that the first thing Cole says when he comes to Haven is something like "Let me in, I can't come in unless you let me in." Considering what he is, that's such a wonderfully creepy thing to say. ![]()
Maybe you only get this line if you side with templars? I sided with mages, got the "You reach across, mindful..." line. I don't know. It's confusing.
Well , when you go to the templars
I have to agree, the mage story line is much more facinating , since time travel is a huge geek obssession of mine. Buuut ser Barris is totally the most impressive templar I have ever met. And I'm all for freedom and equality for all mages , but I'm feeling really glad that I got the chance to fight with him.Hell, even Solas likes him in later banter. And the other templars that have not taken red lyrium are nice as well.
Since I was ToP twice I'm going to leave this here to make up for the lack on the previous page and say this...it's quite amazing the things you catch sometimes when you have a screenshot problem...
Solas, you creeper. ![]()
EDIT: Aah! Top of the page! I don't have screenshots of my own (not clear ones anyway) but here, have a lovely Solas:

Why so many people hate Fiona? Did I miss something?

Aithne does the mage one since stopping someone messing with the rifts and time seems more urgent to her than going and doing diplomacy with a bunch of Templars.
I have a couple of Trevelyns waiting patiently for their turn and they're going to go to the Templars first since they're going to want Templars around before they go get the mages.
Silly characters don't realise it's one or the other and they can't have both. ![]()

The first and last lines are for everyone and the middle changes based on race and potentially whether the Inquisitor sided with mages or templars.
Mine:
Elf - Mages:
Qunari - Templars:
My love for Dorian aside (and I do love him, he's the Varric to my quizzy's Hawke) I prefer skipping the Chantry meeting if I'm going with the templars. It's easier to skip out on the plot before I get too tangled up in it.
The note gets an eyeroll and a 'what's new' scoff before I go get the templars to help with the potential tevinter incursion we've got on top of everything else.
Human: You reach across, mindful, meaning. You pull it through to this side, make it real here.
When the advisers said that it would be best to put Gaspard on the throne for her to control since she and Celene had too much bad blood, and one of the elven servants revealed that Celene had purged an alienage while sleeping with Briala (a b*tch move by any standards), I resolved to do that. I tested the "spare Celene" route just to see what would happen, but at best she banishes Briala.
Purging the alienage isn't the worst thing Celene did to Briala while they were still lovers. Just to let you know.
It is possible to reconcile the two of them (you need to find the elven locket and show it to both Celene and Briala, then you can encourge them to get back together again. I was a bit uncertain about doing this due to the horrible stuff Celene has done to the woman she claimed the love, but I figured my Lavellan doesn't have the meta knowledge I have. It actually works out pretty well: their relationship is on a more equal status, and Briala is aware of everything Celene has done and willing to go back into the relationship).
