Is there like a collected listing of everything Solas says in elvish and the translation anywhere? it would be nice. I know all the short things he says, but there were some longer things he says here and there and doesn't bother to translate QQ

Solas does say something about how elves had magic because of (or alongside) their immortality, not the other way around (don't know the exact phrasing, but that's how I interpreted it - I think he confirms it as inherent though). I do think Uthenara plays a role here, and I do agree that the humans being at fault for its loss may have more to do with an interruption in these rituals/the knowledge of how to do them being lost/humans messing with the Fade as opposed to actual biological proximity. That's why I asked earlier if humans being to blame was actually confirmed by something other than modern (unreliable) Dalish belief. I'm not contesting humans may well be the cause, I just think it might be something more complex than humans having toxic gene fumes or what have you...

He confirms their immortality was an inherent trait but doesn't touch on how uthenera(sp?) may or may not have played a role. It must have served some purpose, though.

One thing I love about Solas is how he loves Lavellan for her spirit/personality. He does call her beautiful if you remove the vallaslin, but I feel like he finds her beautiful like the way some of us find him beautiful. It's a beauty that's not noticeable at first, but becomes evident as you get to know Solas and start to like him. I guess in general, what I like about video game romances is that you can go out of your way to make the ugliest character, but your LI only sees your personality.

Damn, my heart just skipped a beat.

 

Loaded Origin+DAI and got a notification that new content was available. OF COURSE my first thought was "Solas!" even though I knew it was impossible.

Anyway, if anyone's playing multiplayer, there's a free expansion or whatnot.
