I'm confused. What's sanity?
I haven't a clue, but I think it's edible.
Welp, we'll know one way or another in about three months.
Inquisitor Lavellan: *flings self hopelessly at Solas*
Warden Surana: "Welcome to my world."

Sanity is for nom?
Fade Potato for nom?
If Solas isn't an LI but the Inquisitor gets the chance to flirt with and be turned down by him, I'll headcanon that he was interested and wanted to reciprocate but held back out of worry that a romantic entanglement would get in the way of saving the world (and all that other semi-important stuff
). The Inquisitor will move on to find love with another partner and Solas will watch sadly from a distance, telling himself over and over that he did the right thing.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it ![]()
Hmm...I've been thinking (dangerous, I know). Didn't the devs (maybe it was DG in particular) say that the romances were "all over the place" this time and that they didn't particularly care about being equal and evenly distributed with the race-gating stuff, and that they were more concerned about making sure all genders/orientations had equal opportunities for LIs? If the last two romances revealed do turn out to be the bi, race-gated options, then that doesn't really seem 'all over the place' at all, it kind of seems like a logical pattern: 2 straight, 2 gay, 4 bi with 2 of those race-gated.
I dunno, pointless (desperate hope-filled)
reachingspeculation most likely, but maybe this does make it a little more likely that the race-gated LIs could still be distributed at least in part between the straight or gay LIs, and not necessarily limited to the bi LI, which still gives Solas a better chance of being a LI.
Either that, or Solas could be race-gated against dwarves because of the whole dreaming thing.
I'm of the (hopeful) opinion that the race-gated romances may not necessarily be the two they've left for last. It could be possible that they've already revealed both of them, and just haven't told us; I may be remembering this wrong, but I think some dev was asked if they'd tell us who was and wasn't race-gated before the game came out, and they replied something about not telling us everything before it was out.
Rate-gating or not, I still think Solas has the best shot of being the last guy if it is gender-balanced, though maybe that's just optimism on my part. Time will have to tell.
The Fade is the mind of the world, everything that can dream, dreams into it. Think of it as a large body of clear, clean water. And think of our Dreams, and Memory as small waters as well, but tainted with emotions, good or bad. Our tainted waters then enter the large body of water and this process is dreaming, or having nightmares. This will form precipitates that are positive or negative within this large body of water, and these precipitates are the benevolent, and malevolent spirits of the Fade. Our Memories can be also be imprinted in the Fade as well, just for someone, or something with the knowledge to do so, to relive the shadows of the past though slumbering where they stood.Oh, and I actually met Solas during his journeys in the Ancestral's ruins, and taught him this technique too. Too bad he didn't want to be my First, could have also taught him how to "Break, and Leap" into the World Beyond, and I gotta say you you humans are everywhere. Oh, well
...You...are you?
I think it'll be Solas guys. Don't ask me why - I have a good feeling.
Still up, on hour 9 of 12 of this shift. Almost there, 3 hours left. I have a good feeling too. But, hey, that could be how tired I am.
I think Solas dreams are likely tonight.
Funny how these games get us so riled up, no matter how old we are. ![]()

Maybe our late night thoughts can manifest this.

Solas trying to comfort us if he turns out not to be a LI.
Spoiler
THERE'S STILL HOPE! How many LI are to be announced yet? 1 or 2?
Two, although assuming Bioware wants to keep things even-ish, Viv is probably one of those two.

2!
I'm back from sleep and as hopeful as ever ![]()
Our chances really aren't so bad I'd say!
The only ones confirmed to not be race garted are IB and Josie
Which means it's still possible that Cullen, Cass, Sera or Dorian could be somehow restricted for various reasons
Also, maybe the 2 remaining LI's will be men afterall?
I'd kinda like Viv, but she just absolutey doesn't strike me as an LI
And making pretty much every important female that's part of the Inquision available to the player would be kind of weird
If she does however end up as an LI, I'm sure she's race gated
Which means even then there is still one open slot!
That slot has to go to Solas, Blackwall or Varric
Solas is obviously what I'm hoping for ![]()
I could get used to Varric I guess, I do like him, I just don't really want to deal with the Bianca drama...
Blackwall would be all of my nightmares (sry to his fans)
I can get over the Bianca drama with Varric, but I can't get over the fact that Blackwall looks like my dad ![]()
But like I said, they mentioned that the romances aren't necessarily evenly distributed
It's quite possible the last two slot will go to men
I'll hope for Solas until the end!

I lurk here a lot. But I can't lurk anymore. I need to show my support for LI Solas! (please Bioware? Nerdy Fademage voiced by GDL! IT MUST HAPPEN!)
My innate response was to make some tears related sassy comment. But I'll admit that even I feel a bit bad tormenting you all on some level. Mostly because I think it's reached critical levels and any more could just be cruel!
My benevolence knows no bounds.

Yes, alas. WE SUFFER SO.
Your mercy is muchly appreciated!
(Yep. This night shift has taken the last of my sanity.)
If you hear anything, please put it in the title of the post. At the present it looks like I am having to go back to playing male again since the options/choices for a male character are way better than the female, except in one fairly major respect - there are no elves for a male to romance. However, since my first male PC would probably be human that's okay. As for the female, I'm sorry but I'm not romancing Iron Bull and my girl is not a lesbian, so that leaves Cullen - not much choice there. Blackwall may be really sweet and romantic but to me he's just an older version of Cullen, in other words human. My girl is an elf and since they are making her Dalish, she needs a male elf to romance. So no Solas will mean no romance for her. Sigh. Please Bioware, put us out of our misery one way or another.
