You've been waiting for much longer than I haven't you? Looking at the hype and seeing how long some people have waited, I'm glad it took me a while before reading up on the game. 

 

You made a good choice, though I'm not sure that I've been waiting for much longer than you have.  Being easily excitable is a curse sometimes

I hate to play devil's advocate, but they did just release IB LI & Solas's VO info, so I doubt we'll find out anything for a while /crosses fingers anyway/.

So if we all post that Solas will be a love interest, get a ton of posts and then count how many Allan likes, then knowing that not ALL of his likes are random, we should be able to statistically work out if it's true. Statistics to the rescue, for science!

Wow, 200 pages!

 

Wish I shared some of you guyses optimism on the Solas as LI front haha! Four contenders, two spots. After the IB announcement (which is AWESOME btw) my guess is Solas isn't an LI (aah well if so). Still need to wait and see tho!

My innate response was to make some tears related sassy comment.  But I'll admit that even I feel a bit bad tormenting you all on some level.  Mostly because I think it's reached critical levels and any more could just be cruel!

I remember finishing off Saints Row 3, and hoped for a fourth, looked it up and it said it was in the works. But THQ was close to bankruptcy, so I googled it everyday for a month of two, worrying it wouldn't be finished. Lesson was not learnt eh... Maybe I should, uhm, _{draw something...}

nope she was talking about the bull ... that he was race-gated ... but john and other animators made it happen for every race

I should be sleeping, but don't lose hope. I think there is much of a chance for Solas as there is for Varric the more that I read. It isn't over until it's over! We may have our elven Mage yet!

The two who are race-gated are so because of story reasons, the thing with Iron bull was just that they fixed his technical difficulties that made him romanceable. They did good

I know this is happening a lot here (must be something in the water) but I have this undeniable need to de-lurk and add my excitement for Solas to the thread.

So hi everyone! I'll happily join all the prayer circles, give to all the tear donations and take part in all the blood magic rituals even add some fanart in order to spread the Solas love! My best wishes go out to all my fellow Solas fans- here's hoping we get some news, good or bad, very soon!

After Iron Bull anouncement, I'm afraid Solas won't  be available.
But I still keep my fingers crossed. He would be the best option for my canon Inquisitor and she might end up without any romance at all...

The reasons why I believe he's not going to be a LI:

- he's the person that seemingly prefers to think about fade and spirits and stay away from real people
- Blackwall, Varric, Vivienne
- he's the 'mind' of Inquisition which makes him a character that usually is not available for romance (example: Mordin)
- Patrick Weekes wrote a romance already; this doesn't have to mean anything, but still there is little likelihood of another romance written by him
- Somehow I think that Blackwall will be romanceable (as the older or maybe more mature companion as this has not been explored previosuly I think)
- it's just that bad feeling...

On the other hand the reasons why Solas should be romanceable, probably by both genders:

 

- he's an elf (I know this doesn't mean anything, but no Solas as a romance would mean no romancable elf for males and straight females, which would be odd)
- since he is the companion that knows much about the fade, he might be a 'guide' for Inquisitor and also may fall for him/her because of his fascination with fade, mysteries and everything related
- the games needs more mages to romance (but there is Vivienne, so... )
- from all the males available for romance, he seems to stand out the most, which would make him more interesting (more diversity)


Now I only hope for some good news  for us...
