I like this. I like to think she asked Cole to help her forget everything about Solas. That way upon meeting again, Solas will hurt that their time together cease to exist in her mind but in some degree relieved that she doesn't recall the pain he caused her. I'm a sucker for tragedies.

Nah, I love analyzing Solas. There are times though I do like to be silly or think of the stuff that dwells in the gutter. 

 

I don't ever ever mean to make anyone uncomfortable, if anyone does feel that way.

In my canon, certainly. It took them a while, and it's not a major part of their relationship, but it is certainly a very enjoyable side-benefit (it ranks...like...third XD).

My Lavellan also slept with him. My completionist playthrough was sooo many hours, which made it feel like a lot of time passed in-game, too. I think their relationship naturally progressed into the bedroom, because that's the way my Lavellan would have wanted it. And I'm sure Solas would be happy to take things to that level if Lavellan was comfortable with it. I played her as late 20's, and... experienced in those types of activities.

They didn't get to bed in my canon,or won't because I haven't finished this playthrough yet.
Laurelin's having a difficult time admiting to herself that the feelings she has for him are something deeper that a silly infatuation,a "hot for hahren" phase.She's very dutiful and hates it when emotions get between her and her goal,she feels more vulnerable for some reason.It's during the balcony scene that she understands that she's in real trouble when she finds herself almost begging him to not go.(The break up scene is going to be really bad. )
If we get a dlc that allows them to be together in one way or the other,then I can see her going for it though.

I pictured them going that far in my canon. My Inquisitor has that touchy feely personality type and highly values physical intimacy so it probably went somewhere eventually, considering Solas' lack of self control when it comes to those things. 

 

It can so easily go either way, though, and I like that about his romance.

Being romance character, it was a matter of time before we talked about balls. Now if he weren't romancable the probability of getting to that point would be less likely. Unless you're varric.

Yeah, by the time they reached the balcony kiss, my Lavellan and Solas had spent what felt like months together in the Hinterlands.    So their relationship didn't really move that fast, though there was certainly chemistry.  In my headcanon, they started sleeping together shortly after the balcony scene.  They tried to keep it somewhat lowkey, but it was evidently the worst kept secret in Skyhold.

Lavie #2 maybe didn't.. maybe she was waiting for the 3rd date and we all know how THAT turned out

Lavie #3 did and then went to cry her sorrows in Cullen's shoulder, if I ever get myself to break up with Solas on date 3

 

Lavie #4 is still getting to Skyhold

Solas and my Lavellan totally did.  I mean, at the point at which I have written the freaking smut, I think I'm committed to that series of events     I also tended to pick more of the clever/teasing responses during the dialogues because getting Solas flustered makes me happy inside, and those are the dialogue options that imply they slept together.

It doesn't bother me but in the interest of keeping this thread cozy for everyone we should at least move it to spoilers and put a NSFW warning when we talk about round objects that aren't the focci ( didn't say it... )

You're probably right about that.  He would probably only offer comforting words.  You can ask him to make you forget at some point, and he says something to the effect that he will/has... then that he's just joking.

I don't mind linking to the art/smut fics and such (I've been known to look at/read them too), but this has long been a more mature thread that doesn't objectify Solas as much as certain other LIs have been, and I've admired that.  If all anyone ends up talking about in-thread is Solas's genitalia or making creepy sex dolls, I'll probably stop caring about the thread.

 

That opinion doesn't even take into account the straight male contingent who come here because we have awesome theory talk and the thread is normally tame and comfortable for them.  Or what about the asexuals?  I'm pretty sure we have several in this thread, and going on about Solas's junk might be a little uncomfortable for them as well.

 

And Solas's junk is tame compared to the sex doll talk, which is frankly just creepy.

Considering this thread has gone on for over two thousand pages without going too overboard, I think we're all perfectly capable of behaving maturely.  It's not about the smut and NSFW fan art being made and shared (I'm okay with that).  I'm not even overly offended about the "Solas's balls" comments.  Sex doll talk maybe takes it a little overboard.

At least, do that if it involves discussion of the NSFW stuff, or sex dolls, or stuff like that.  Again, I don't mind the links to smut/NSFW art (and I look at and read some of it), but, please take into consideration that not everyone here is a straight female/gay male.  There are straight men and asexuals who may be made highly uncomfortable by it.  There's also me, a straight woman, who is put off by it because this has mostly been a mature, polite, welcoming, and SAFE thread--that one awesome romance thread where the really weird stuff doesn't happen!

 

So yes, please, if you have to discuss the really weird stuff, or the really explicit stuff, I would rather it be done in a separate group.

 

Not trying to be a spoilsport.  I am pretty sure the sex doll person was joking.  But at least one of the people who normally frequents this thread has made a post to the effect that it made them uncomfortable.  I don't want us to be THAT THREAD.

I believe the sex doll stuff was a joke, at least that is how I interpreted it. But even as a joke, maybe it made people feel less welcome so we should avoid those jokes, or move it to a Solas smut group or whatever.

I get the impression that as a general rule, Solas is very circumspect about the relationship, and my Lavellan took her cues from him.  But you don't have to be openly affectionate for people to pick up that you're absolutely nuts about each other.  And in that respect, they were painfully obvious.  All those little moments when you're in love and you look for a second too long, or smile a little too brightly.
