Guys-guys-guys, let's not fight. There are a lot of different people reading this thread, and ofc we are all going to have different opinions. But isn't "being a mature adult" also about being able to tolerate and respect other people and their opinions and finding compromises?

 

There are so many wonderful people here, no matter their opinions. I'd hate it if there'd be fighting. Let's all live in peace?

So to jump back a few dozen pages (or a hundred pages, I think. ) about the migration of humans.

The ethnic Rivaini are said to have migrated there from a land beyond the Donark jungles. And apparently people do live in the Donarks, as the consumption of darkspawn blood was suggested by hunter from the Donarks in the Warden's first Club meeting in Weisshaupt.

Do we figure that Thedas is actually connected to the human homeland/kossith continent by land, and that the Donarks and the area beyond are just intimidating? Or are they separated by ocean?

I never found sex things to actually be doing any harm... I don't know in my country we are very well educated about everything that it is quite natural to talk about it just normally as the romancing thing. I do not see a reason so put it as a spoil because I am quite sure that most of us are adults here. If you are an adult and you feel uncomfortable talking about sex... well no comment lol I think that is more ridiculous. It is a natural thing all the animals also do and stuff.. and if you are at your working place.. maybe you should not come to check this thread there? I mean.. you ARE working. 

Oh my god just I hope those little kids who get offended by it would not even play the game.. there are multiple sex scenes and you can see many ****** there.. <.<'' I am sorry but I just can't take this kind of behavior. I do not mean to offend people but I just feel that this kind of behavior is ridiculous. Now I do not know who got offended or if anyone did.

You are aware that there are asexuals, and straight men, on this thread as well, correct?  You are aware that they are sometimes INTENSELY uncomfortable at the degree of rather intimate talk we've had?  That encountering even one such post can make them feel the entire thread is that way, and then we lose out on valuable input from those people, because they won't join our discussions?

 

Edited to add:  I don't presume to speak for all the asexuals out there (I'm a straight person) BUT I have been talking to a few in the forum chat and they HAVE expressed deep discomfort at where the thread has gone lately.

 

You are also aware that we are not technically supposed to post anything over-the-top NSFW here, too, right?  Because it's against the rules and you can get banned/have the thread shut down for it?  The mods were very kind to allow us to post NSFW art/fics/links even beneath spoiler tags.  Most fan sites would not even allow that much.

 

I worded my first request politely, and it was reasonable enough:  just keep it under spoiler tags.  Some of you decided to argue the point, but there is no point there to argue.

 

I've repeatedly pointed out we have asexual and straight male people who frequent this thread.  That has nothing to do with my personal age or maturity level, and you would do well to remember it.  Being made uncomfortable by what one believes should be kept private, is also not a sign of immaturity, it is a matter of personal preference.  This is a public forum, it is not a porn forum.

 

If you wish to discuss this further, by all means take it to PM.

I hate pie. Hate it, it's gross (this is fact. It cannot be argued). Yet I'm upset with Solas and Mr. Weekes for not liking tea (hypocrite). I'm mean if there's so many flavors, you haven't tried all of them. How can you say you hate all tea? (How can I say you ate all pie? Well that's different... It is)

I have never been totally drunk before...but right now I think this is must be what it feels like. Typically I would have a very persuasive and detailed post as to why we should all get along...but I'm not in that state right now, so deal with it...lol! 

 

We all have opinions and we all are entitled to express them, but we should also take care in the ways we express our opinions. So people are much more liberal than others when it comes to certain things, while others are more conservative. We should still respect each other regardless how liberal or conservative we are...ugh this post is probably horrible, but I am trying to bring peace...how am I doin'?

My father used to thing I was the sweetest little boy ever, because I'd always give him my slice of pumpkin or apple pie.

Then I tasted key lime pie.

Greed is a virtue in moderation, isn't it?  So is defending your possessions with an almost wolf-like ferocity.

Remember that time we had the Solas judging the Keepers for their cooking gag? (Which still makes me chuckle every time I think of it.)

I've only recently gotten into the culinary arts, but a book I was reading on Roman culture made it clear that A) No matter how far you go back, the French/Gauls were kicking all kinds of ass and blazing new paths in cooking, and The Romans had a mixture of food I find absolutely delicious sounding and just plain confusing.

Arlathan diet? Did they have slaves to work giant fields of wheat? From the sounds of Andruil's Codex entry, each god had their own turf. Did they each have their own semi-independent economies, or did they all cooperate? (June's slaves mine, Andruil hunts, Ghilan'nain raises better and better cattle, etcetera...) How much did they spend on jewelry and the like? Was Tevinter's art and fashion ALSO stolen from Arlathan?

Time for 10ccs of ridiculously fluffy Solavellan headcanons!

 

Lavellan sings, but only to herself.  She has enough trouble being compared to Andraste as it is, and she makes a conscious effort to hide it for her own sake.  But when she's practicing for Halamshiral, she sneaks out to the garden and sings so she has a beat to follow while she practices the steps of the complicated Orlesian dance.  Solas stumbles upon her one evening and for one moment, it almost looks like she'll run from him, melt back into the shadows.  But when he smiles and offers her a practice partner, she stays.  And occasionally after that, when he asks it of her, she lets him hear her sing.

 

Solas is completely still when he sleeps, but Lavellan hogs the covers, leaving him shivering slightly with only half of the blanket in the morning.  It's only a problem at Skyhold, and only when they share a bed at night.  But she is so generous and considerate in all other things that he can't resist making fun of her for this one minor inconvenience.  Whenever he does (and never where anyone else can hear), she hits him with a pillow.  Things usually go south from there.

 

(Also, I am 100% Team Pie.)

Strawberry & rhubarb is one of my fave pies.

 

On topic:  Do you think Solas would like pie?  I know he likes the fancy frilly cakes.  If he does like pie, what flavor would he enjoy?
